RoyEd Week 2020, Prompt 4 - “What’s wrong?” ( @royedpalooza )
[I had this idea for about 5 months, so I tweaked it a bit to make it fit the prompt. Loosely based on one of Rainjoy’s oneshots.] Post CoS. It’s been two years since Edward kissed Roy goodbye and left for the other side of the Gate with his little brother. Roy and Riza detect a disturbance with epicentre originating where Ed disappeared the first time. They go down there to investigate.

Because we all know, that no matter how old Ed gets, he will never stop destroying things wherever he goes…and insulting the authority people in their faces…
“Which reminds me…” Roy said as he lowered the newspaper and turned to face the blond “i don’t remember reading this in your report earlier this week”
Ed looked away from the older man’s piercing gaze “that’s because the journalist who wrote that, made that up” he said airily.
“Of course he did” Roy deadpanned “i can assume that the same journalist made up the stories the other times”
“Duh” Ed said.
Roy sighed and turned back to the newspaper. He stopped being surprised all together when the little brat came up with ridiculous stunts and lied to his face with a grin in the past years.
Roy, no don’t pull Ed’s hair he doesn’t like it he loves it.
