Looks from the past few days, apologies for the shit quality. Peachy den jumpsuit is one of my favourite pieces of clothing I own due to its miraculous ability to beautifully sculpt whichever body it is worn on and give its wearer a perfectly peachy butt (hence the name), even if their posterior takes the shape of a pancake in their usual clothes, which is sadly the case for me ;( Trousers are also from peachy den and the black puffer jacket pictured is by Moncler (an expensive investment but I’ve gotten 4 years of wear out of it and the jacket adds a subtle tinge of luxury to any outfit it is worn with - so well worth it :) As for the vest, as you can probably tell it is in this piece that my whacky / statement item that I like to feature in every outfit I wear took form. It was a super cheap buy but after multiple rounds of tailoring ended up being quite expensive. It’s not one of those pieces that you can wear with everything, but for outfits that it does go with, it can lift them from being a dull assemblage to one with a bit of originality and eccentricity - so all in all a good purchase!

Today’s look. It’s hard to make Adidas trackies NOT look tacky, but dressing them up with a classy V neck (Reformation) and sophisticated yet simple necklaces (chain = Missoma, pendant necklace = & Other Stories) can help them to look more like a statement piece as opposed to mainstream, logo fashion.

Opinion: you’re never too old or young (within reason!) for sexy lingerie, whether you are in a relationship or not. Racy undergarments force us to challenge the innate feeling so many of us have that we should cover up our insecurities beneath granny pants, spanx and full cup bras. Sexy lingerie is well worth the splurge and a brilliant investment for helping us to feel feminine yet empowered, seductive without feeling the need to share ourselves with anyone else. I’m making a generalisation here, but a lacy black bra has a miraculous way of, in spite of showing more skin than your usual, typical bra, elevating self-confidence to new heights and proving to its wearer that despite society telling them otherwise, their mere womanhood is enough, regardless of the shape and size that their body takes form.

First post :)

This blog was named after the world's 9th weirdest animal (according to the Telegraph) because in a world as dreary as this, at the very least it seems apt that fashion should parry the general shittiness of life. Note that the babirusa is not as easy on the eye as some of Earth's other great animals, but hey, at least it stands out from the crowd. Admittedly and somewhat ironically, I wouldn't exactly describe my dress sense as being massively out there and quirky at all, but fashion is supposed to be a means of differentiating us and making us unique beings. So my advice: always ensure you put on something, be that a piece of clothing, accessory, hairstyle, makeup or shoes that no one else you know owns or has ever worn before. I'm no fan of cheesy sayings, but in the fashion industry and world at large, I really feel it's time that people stop keeping their heads down trying to blend in and instead look to stand out. Granted however, in a world of 7 billion people, that's easier said than done, and I for one am still very much learning.
