Soooo, Nanase's been looking incredibly busty lately. Is trend gonna continue? Because I kind of love it.

Yes. I tend to waffle on just how busty to draw both her and Ellen, but they’re supposed to be noticeably busty relative to most others, which means I really shouldn’t hold back much with them.

Granted, they shouldn’t, for example, look like Elliot does presently in the main story, but they should stand out.

So, was the handcuffed Mrs. Kitsune meant as just a one-time gag, or is restraints / light bondage something you're interested in exploring in future art?

On the one hand, I’m not that in to it myself. On the other, I do like drawing things I know OTHER people will like.

Soooo… Maybe? It would be *extremely* light in any case. Like, hands tied behind the back or raised is about as far as I’d be comfortable going, and the person in question would be at worst puzzled and more likely happy with with the situation.

Most of what I’d like to draw that I hold back on drawing is just nudity. I generally don’t have a deep unfulfilled desire to draw much more suggestive (or blatant) than I have already, really. Even kissing I mostly draw with “other people will like this” in mind.

Did you remove some of the older pinups, or did Tumblr remove them for you? Almost all mention of Tea and her shop are gone, for example.

Many were flagged by Tumblr. Some I attempted to appeal, some I did not. If any of the appeals worked, I wasn’t notified about it.

Just to be clear: Some people WOULD be overreacting a bit to Tumblr’s new rules based on the guidelines set. I have argued this myself.

The problem is that they have what is effectively a rogue AI handling the situation. Lots of my posts have been flagged, and restored posts evidently wind up out of order.

What’s more, innocent pictures of cats, hamsters, Mary Worth comic strips, etc, are being flagged.

The rules as stated and what's being flagged are two separate things, and what’s being flagged is partly overly aggressive in response to flesh tones, and partly effectively random. Tumblr is effectively broken unless they fix it, especially in the case of blogs with suggestive pinup material.

I’m fairly certain at least one person has already skimmed my previous post and missed the part in which it’s pointed out that sex acts, be they photo realistic or not, are considered “adult content” under Tumblr’s guidelines.

I am aware algorithms are involved, so even my stuff could get flagged, but I’d actually have a chance to overturn it.

Just a courtesy reminder from a bunny that tumblr will be purging all adult blogs on December 17th. Don't know if anything here qualifies under its rules, since you have no naked boobs or the like, but be aware.

Here’s how they word it, and they’re being very specific and broad all at once (bolding for emphasis done by me):

Adult Content. Don't upload images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals or female-presenting nipples —this includes content that is so photorealistic that it could be mistaken for featuring real-life humans (nice try, though). Certain types of artistic, educational, newsworthy, or political content featuring nudity are fine. Don’t upload any content, including images, videos, GIFs, or illustrations, that depicts sex acts. For more information about what this guideline prohibits and how to appeal decisions about adult content, check out our help desk.

I have not posted anything that violates those guidelines. There’s also this:Written content such as erotica, nudity related to political or newsworthy speech, and nudity found in art, such as sculptures and illustrations, are also stuff that can be freely posted on Tumblr.

According to this, I haven’t even come close to what they define as “adult content”. It even sounds like I could post drawn nudity (so long as no “acts” were being performed) given that my art is nowhere near photo realism.

I could also supposedly describe “acts” without issue.

In short, even at my most explicit, I fall short of what they’ve defined as “adult content”. I mean, they could change that at the drop of a hat in a “this deal is getting worse all the time” sort of way, but as it’s worded now, I should be fine.

Hey, I just got two questions to ask. 1. When did you start being more comfortable posting will-get-some-form-of-disciplinary-action-at-Work art, and 2. Why does Mall Elliot have Nanase's pre-hair-change hair, but pink?

1 - I haven’t. Heck, I just looked at some relatively recent EGSNPs and felt embarrassed. Anything I’ve posted has been an attempt to get over it, but I haven’t. My preference is definitely not taking it that far.2 - It’s based on Elliot’s hair. Look at how his hair is normally parted. Similarity to Nanase’s old hair is coincidental.

Congrats on ripping off the butt band-aid! (Butt-aid?) Do you think your method of changing the Rhea drawing helped with trying something more risque? Are you going to keep practicing with alternative versions of existing pin-ups?

Thanks! And no, because the reason I went with this one was because the napkin was always on a different layer, and I’d inked what was underneath to be absolutely certain of the napkin’s placement.

If you ever do show us what's "below the border" (and I for one hope you do) please make the a reasonable size (or at least form appropriate). The last thing we need is more ridiculous manhoods.

This is ha–er, more difficult than it sounds.

Due to the stylistic proportions with which I draw characters, specifically their heads, parts of them look proportionately smaller than they would if they had more realistically sized heads.

For example, the way I draw Sarah in my style, she has pretty average sized breasts. If I drew that part of her the same but made her head smaller, however, they would immediately look bigger just by virtue of relativity.

What’s ALSO true, however, is that how it’s interpreted is subjective. What I think is a reasonable compensation for the proportional difference created by the stylization could look like too much or too little to someone else.

So even if I do try to draw a reasonable size, it’s probably going to wind up looking bigger than I think it is in the eyes of some others.

That, and I’d probably also be trying to make them look big.

Because of course I would.

New Twitter and Blog

I made a new twitter for tweeting Milestone images and potentially less SFW things (hence why I made a whole new twitter for it; It’s settings mark the media as “potentially sensitive”).

I also have another Tumblr that is, for now, just some fan art reblogs from here, but may at one point include more NSFW things than I want to post here (and is specifically set up as such). It can be found here.

I’m generally going to avoid redundant reblogging on that new blog, though I may reblog SOME things. I’m going to be gradually adding milestone images to this blog again, but that one’s for anything I might draw that I consider more than I even want to put here.

Shocking no one, there are limits to what I would be comfortable posting / reblogging even there, but it could be “r-rated-like” at times.
