Nobody talks about the fact that during the rebuilding of Erebor and the consequent meetings between Thranduil, Thorin, and Bard, it would 200% end up devolving into Thorin and Thranduil name-calling and flinging insults back and forth while Bard sat happily off to the side, discussing important things with Bilbo or Balin and actually getting the real stuff done

So for the past three weeks I've worked six to ten hour shifts a day with only two days off in total, including work on Sundays and horrible customers because christmas obviously is such a surprising annual event that nobody ever expects.

My body: "Ugh no. Tired. I wanna sleep. And eat all the christmas food. And get a little drunk. Sleep some more. Play WoW. Write fanfiction. Binge watch White Collar and Sons of Anarchy. Maybe roleplay a little. Possibly rewatch AUJ and DOS. And then sleep."

My mother: "HAHA NOPE HERE I BOOKED FLIGHT TICKETS AND I'LL STAY AT YOUR PLACE AND CHRISTMAS MARKETS AND CHRISTMAS SHOPPING AND MAKE SURE THE WHOLE PLACE IS SPOTLESS FOR ME COS TIS THE SEASON TO BE PESKY TRALALALA LA LA LA FUCK YOU CHILD"
