Summary: Reader gets emotional during sex with Spencer
Request: Spencer dicks down Reader so good it makes her emotional. Then lots of fluff with aftercare (originally requested to @imagining-in-the-margins)
The color of Spencer's irises reminded you of wild honey, so warm and alluring when he looked at you. His lips captured yours as he hovered over you, letting you taste the sweetness of his kiss.
Being with him truly was one of life’s greatest pleasures.
You whined when his mouth left yours, only to be soothed by the sensation of him caressing your neck. Gently, he kissed and licked over sensitive skin until you couldn’t think about anything else than being one with him.
"I love you," he whispered right before your bodies merged.
There was no need for you to speak those words for him to know that you loved him, too.
"Spencer!" You moaned instead.
With a smirk spread over his face, he purred, "I know, it feels so good."
He took his time entering you, relishing the sensation of your walls enveloping him. You shared your body with him without any resistance, almost feeling greedy to feel all of him. When he was at your deepest point you could feel both of your hearts beating inside of you. Just for a moment you had to close your eyes to let this moment enter your memory, to be able to cherish it forever.
When you locked eyes with him once more, his pupils had almost completely swallowed the warm amber of his irises. His cheeks were flushed and his lips slightly parted when he slowly began moving. Even with his weight on top of you it felt like you might start floating at any moment now.
Spencer knew your body better than you did, so it was no surprise that he had you dancing along the edge of euphoria with just a few skilled motions. The sounds of your pleasure fell from your lips as he pushed into you and he became eager to hear even more of them.
"You're doing so good, my love," he praised you. "Are you gonna come for me?"
"Yes!"
With your arms and legs wrapped around him there was no distance allowed between your bodies. Spencer found your neck to bite on your pulse point, eliciting the most enticing sound he had ever heard from you. It all became too much for you to handle, it felt like you might drown in the love you had for him.
When he kissed your cheek he could suddenly taste the ocean on your skin. In an instant he stopped moving and propped himself up on his arms only to find saline droplets spilling from your eyes.
"Please don't stop," you whimpered as you wiped your tears away. "I'm so close."
"Oh my sweet girl," he cooed. "Are those happy tears?"
A bright smile formed on your face while you nodded. "You make me feel so good."
"You have no idea how much I adore you," Spencer breathed as he kissed one of your tears away.
You began grinding your hips against his and demanded, "Show me."
He met your motions with his own thrusts, moving with you in perfect synchronicity to guide you into the sensation of pure bliss. Your lips were attached to his, your kiss only interrupted by the moans and sighs escaping your throat.
With one particular hard thrust he finally pushed you over the edge, your entire body trembling as your walls began pulsing around his hardness.
When you came down from your high he whispered against your lips, "Good girl."
Once he was sure you could take it, he accelerated his pace again, now chasing his own climax. You moved with him, watching his face intently as he got lost in the pleasure.
"You feel so good," he groaned when you clenched around him. "So tight for me."
"Please, Spencer!"
He knew what you were asking for, aware of what it was you needed from him. When he shared his essence with you, you moved with him until he had nothing left to give. The warmth Spencer provided spread through your entire body and you couldn't stop smiling at the thought that the love you two shared could one day grow into something more.
“I love you,” you cooed and welcomed him inside your arms.
He kissed away the stray tears he still found on your cheek before he buried his face into the crook of your neck. You held him tightly against your body until he had caught his breath enough to whisper, “I love you more.”
Your bodies were still connected and you fought against letting him go but he slipped out of you eventually. Spencer got up from the bed and offered you a hand to follow him into the bathroom. He motioned for you to sit on the edge of the bathtub while he ran some warm water over a washcloth.
When he kneeled before you, he gently parted your legs to get access to your center. He let the washcloth run along the insides of your thighs and followed it with his lips, kissing every inch of your soft skin the piece of fabric had touched. There was the utmost tenderness in his motions when he reached your folds, ridding you of the remains of your shared desire. He took care of you, cleaning your body as if it was some sacred ritual. In a way it was.
Once he was done with that he set the damp fabric aside to continue with his kisses. He let his lips move along the apex of your thigh until your hands flew to his unruly curls, tugging on them until he tilted his head to lock eyes with you. He looked up at you like you were some kind of deity and he was ready to worship you.
“Spencer, what are you doing?” You snickered when he wanted to bury his face between your legs again.
“Showing you how much I adore you.”
When he got too close to your core, you shied away from him, still sensitive from your previous high. He got up from the floor to place a soft kiss on your lips before asking, “Are you feeling okay?”
“Yes,” you reassured him. “I just want to be close to you.”
Spencer took your hand in his to guide you back to the bed. Gently, he pushed you onto the mattress just to join you seconds later. You found your home inside his arms with your head resting on his chest. His fingertips began dancing over your back, drawing soothing patterns on your skin as he pushed his body further against yours.
You turned your head to find the wild honey of his eyes again, longing for the warmth they radiated. Gratitude washed over you when you realized how much sweeter your life had gotten since you met Spencer.

Spencer Reid x fem!reader
All the girls who took Professor Reid’s class were angry that they put it on their schedule once they found out that he was married. And that his wife was hot.
He had pictures of her around his desk and they were all of this beautiful woman. The first day of school, he made a little ‘about me’ slideshow and he introduced his wife.
Now, just because he was married didn’t mean that the girls in his classes didn’t try to make passes at him. Every week he had a girl coming up to him and asking for help and then ‘accidentally’ dropping something and bending over to pick it up. He’d always roll his eyes and look up at the ceiling, not even a little bit interested.
Anyway, this was his second class of the day and it was around 12:00. He was pacing around talking about the student’s final when he recognized a face in the audience.
She was standing all the way in the back, holding a dark blue and brown lunchbox, and her bottom lip was caught between her teeth.
His wife.
He smiled and looked at his watch, thanking God that it was time for the college kids to leave. “Okay, everyone. Your final is coming up. Make sure you study! Have a nice day!” He called as they began to clear the rows of chairs.
He saw one girl coming up to him and sighed, rolling his eyes. Y/N made her up to the front and sat there becoming amused.
“Um hi doctor Reid.” She spoke, he voice soft. Spencer raised his eyebrows.
He glanced at Y/N. “Hello, Erica. What can I do for you.”
The girl let out a dramatic sigh. “I guess— ugh his is so embarrassing—“ She pressed her hands to her face before dropping them and looking back up at him. “I’m just not really understanding the material and I’d really like you to go over it with me. In depth. Say… over coffee later?”
Y/N scoffed with a smile quietly and crossed one leg over the other.
Spencer clicked his tongue. “Sorry, Erica. If you can’t get it now, you probably won’t get it at all. My advice is to take this semester’s final and then drop the class.” He shrugged.
The girl sighed in frustration. “But Dr. Reid, being a behavioral… person is like— my dream. Please, just help me. I really want this to work out for me.” The girl felt a tap on her shoulder and she spun around facing a smiling woman. Dr. Reid’s wife.
“Then get a tutor, sweetie.” She nodded.
Erica groaned and walked away quickly, leaving the large room. Once she was gone, Y/N turned to her husband and laughed. “Are all the girls like this?” She asked, setting his lunchbox behihim on his desk.
Spencer chuckled and pulled her into him. “Unfortunately yes.” He nodded, kissing her softly. “You look beautiful today.” He didn’t get to see her before he left for work because she was still in the shower when he left their house.
She smiled against his lips. “Thank you. And you looked awfully sexy standing up here, teaching.” She whispered, pulling away to nip at his neck.
His hands gripped her waist and she pulled away completely. “I brought you dinner from last night.” She smiled, walking past him and unzipping the lunchbox.
She pulled out a thermos full of the spaghetti that they made the night before and a ziplock of two breadsticks. He hummed. “You’re the best wife ever.”
She sighed dramatically. “So don’t throw all of this away for some college girl!” She joked. Spencer rolled his eyes and walked over to her taking the food from her hands and setting it on the desk.
“I’m free for another hour, eat with me?” He asked, grabbing her hips and pulling her body into him.
She gasped quietly and placed her hand on his chest. “I didn’t bring enough for two people, babe.” She smiled.
“You can have the food. I want something else.” He told her. The woman furrowed her eyebrows and began to speak before she was cut off by Spencer picking her up and setting her on the desk. Her lips were immediately caught by his.
“Mm! Spencer—“ She pulled away with a giggle and looked up at him. “Baby, we’re in you class room!” Spencer began to kiss her neck. “What if someone walks in?”
“Then they’ll see how fucking good you come all over my cock.” Her legs felt weak at that sentence and she sucked in a breath. “Are you gonna be a good girl and let me make you feel like one?”
Y/N bit her lip and nodded. “Yes.”
“I’m glad you wore this pretty little dress today.” He smirked against her neck. He grabbed her knees and hiked her legs up around his waist as he nipped at her neck. “Made it real easy f’me.”
Y/N smiled and tried to pull his head towards her lips so she could kiss him again. His hands pulled her hips forward so half of her ass was hanging off the table. He kissed her lips before trailing them down again. He pulled the neckline of her dress down under her tits and cupped them as he kissed her collar bone.
“Fuck, Spence.” She whispered, holding the back of his head.
“What baby?” He asked, squeezing her breasts.
A whine left her parted lips. “I need you to do something.” She whispered. “Please, please, please.”
Spencer smiled. “What do you need? Tell me what you want, baby.”
She bit her lip and felt her desire grow hotter and her panties growing wetter. “I n-need your mouth.” His hands moved from her breasts gripped her hips, pulling her even closer to the edge of the desk.
He dropped down to his knees without a word, his hands snaking underneath her dress and pulling at the sides of her underwear. Her legs spread and he tugged them down.
He kept eye contact with her until his head disappeared underneath her dress. Her hands flew to the edge of the desk, holding on for dear life when she felt his breath fanning against her wet core.
Then, she felt his tongue. She gasped quietly when it flattened out against her and started to slide up and down through her folds. Her mouth fell open and one hand came up and pressed against her torso, pushing her to lay back. She moaned loudly and pushed all of the cups of pens and the papers. Anything she could get her hands on ended up on the floor.
He groaned against her and pulled away. “Taste so good, baby.” He muttered before, licking her clit softly. He sucked it into his mouth and she bit her lip, trying to hold in a loud moan.
Her body felt as if it was on fire. It felt like too much and not enough at the same time. She whimpered and her chest heaved. She shut her eyes and tilted her head back as his tongue ran over her pussy over and over again.
“Fuck! Spencer that feels so good.” She gasped out. She could feel his smile against her and his stubble giving giving her a tickle in the inside of her thighs.
His hands wrapped around her thighs, pulling them impossibly farther apart. His fingers dig in, inevitably bruising her. There seemed to be something tightening in her stomach and she tapped his head over the skirt of her dress.
“I’m gonna fucking— oh I’m gonna come…” She mumbled, her thighs tightening around her head.
He hummed and continued to suck and lick her. She whimpered quietly and dug the heel of her shoes into his back. “Fuck!” Her hot release came sooner than she’d hoped and she panted as he pulled his head from underneath her dress.
“Such a good fucking girl.” He shook his head with a smile, his lips and chin glistening with her wetness. He went back in for a kiss and placed his hand on her waist. She moaned into the kiss, tasting herself on his lips.
He pulled away and pulled her off of the desk completely. She made a noise in surprise as he spun her around quickly and bent her over the desk. He flipped the skirt of her dress up and over so it laid over her back, giving him a full view of her dripping core.
“You ready for more?” She jolted when he laid a hard smack on her ass.
“Please. I’m so fucking ready.” She nodded, shutting her eyes. She heard his belt unbuckle and his zipper go down and smiled excitedly.
He chuckled. “Fuck, baby. You got me so hard, eating you like that.” He spoke. He grabbed her right hip roughly in one hand and used his other to guide the head of his cock through her wet folds.
She bit her lip hard and hummed. “Please, Spence. Please.” He stopped moving his dick and pressed it against her entrance. Her mouth dropped open and he pushed in slowly.
“Fuck…” He panted, his hand sliding from her hip to her shoulder. “Always feel so good for me.”
She grabbed the edge of the desk and swallowed. “Please, move move move.” She whispered.
He began to rock his hips slowly, her tiny moans making him drop his mouth open. His eyes rolled back in his head with pure pleasure. Y/N opened her mouth but tried to be quiet.
“Taking me so fucking well, baby.” He mumbled, starting to move a bit faster. He looked down, cursing at how hot it was watching himself disappear inside of her.
She gasped and moaned. “Fa-faster— oh fuck!” He didn’t wait another second to speed up when he heard her pleas.
Skin slapping and echoey moans were the only thing to be heard in the lecture hall.
Soon, Spencer was ready and he could tell she was too by the way she was clenching around him, desperately grabbing on to the sides of the desk and mumbling incoherent words.
“Come for me, good girl. Come on my cock.” He panted out.
She let out one last loud moan and her body froze, feeling the tight ball in her stomach releasing. She hummed, feeling Spencer come inside her and inhaled with a smile on her lips.
He pulled out of her, watching how her body shook. He wrapped his arms around her torso and lifted her up off the desk, pulling her dress down back over her body before pulling the stretched out neckline back over her boobs.
“Thanks for lunch, baby.” He smiled, kissing just underneath her ear.
She sighed and hummed. “Shit, any time.”

“spencer,” you gasp out as slowly, deliberately, spencer raises his hands to the tops of your thighs. he makes sure you feel his blunt nails raking against your soft skin as he pulls your panties down, down, down and off of your thighs, calves, and ankles, ultimately tossing them almost exactly on top of your shorts. you hold your breath as he does so, knowing that he’s aiming to properly remind you of who’s in control. he’s testing you, seeing how you react.

Spencer didn’t know why he kept going there. Well, he takes that back. He kind of knows why he keeps going to a very particular library in the D.C. area: There’s a very robust collection of encyclopedias there that he can go and read whenever he has time off from the BAU. Therein lies the kicker: he’s already read the entire collection at least half a dozen times. So why does he keep going there if he’s already read the one thing there that interests him?
The answer is quite simple… the encyclopedia section is within viewing distance of the check-out desk, and whenever he goes in to read them, there’s always a beautiful young woman there with shiny Y/H/C hair and striking Y/E/C eyes checking out books, answering the questions of other library patrons, and taking the reshelving cart to some other section of the library. He’s never plucked up the courage to go over and talk to her, but he knew from overhearing the conversations she had with her coworkers that her first name was Y/N.
Spencer’s played out a thousand interactions with her in his mind, but he’s never gone over to the desk to actually play one of them out. So for the past month and a half, he’s just been sitting in the corner by himself pretending to read a book while staring at the beautiful librarian from across the room like a lovesick idiot. And he was a lovesick idiot, because he couldn’t recall a single time in his life where he was utterly captivated by a woman he’d never even spoken a word to before.
He noticed every little thing about her: the way she would smile at young children who would plunk a Magic Treehouse or Percy Jackson book on the counter and stand on their tiptoes to hand her their library card, then give them a small lollipop from the glass bowl on the desk before they left, the way she laughed when one of her coworkers told a really lame library joke, the way she could pull her hair into a neat bun while she was working without one of those hair donut things he’s seen JJ use a couple times, and the way there was always a skip in her step and a song in her head when she was pushing the reshelving cart to whatever section she needed to go to.
She never looked over at his lonely little table because she was busy focusing on the more busy sections of the library, like the magazines, the research computers, and the children’s books, so the logical half of Spencer’s brain managed to convince him that she had no idea he even existed and that he really had no business being in the building. Still, the other more fantastical half of his brain kept him rooted in his plush library chair on the very slim chance that one day she’d look over and at least give him a smile. He highly doubted that would ever happen, but a guy can hope.

Cold gnawed at her skin. The keys fell into the lock and the world changed as Y/N realised she had finally arrived at home, the place where no more voices could demand anything of her. No more voices resounded, yet she longed for him, who wasn’t home. Her body ached painfully.
A noise escaped Y/N as she closed the door to the flat. She threw the shoes in their place and let the heavy handbag collide with the floor after hanging the jacket. No light shone brightly in the apartment she shared with her boyfriend, letting her know he was still not home, but Y/N was not surprised, assuming no one would expect her.
Exhaling, Y/N strolled deeper into the flat, glanced around, switched on the light in the kitchen and filled the pot with cold water and prepared a cup with a teabag of her favourite tea.
Glancing down at the mobile phone she held in her hand, she switched it on and noticed that Spencer hadn’t called her, knew he didn't have time to send him a message but she didn't blame him, loved him and understood that his work consumed most of his day. Y/N didn't know what to do, not feeling hungry and the desire to watch a movie without Spencer was not existing and then, after a moment's thought, she decided to draw a bath to relax after the long week.
Smoke rose from the steaming cup. Bubbles covered the surface of the water and the sweet scent of lavender filled the small bathroom. Y/N could not see her reflection in the mirror above the porcelain sink. She put on a smile, anticipating the feeling when the water would embrace her entirely and make her forget the ache.
The small tea lights between the big candles she had purchased shone brilliantly. Y/N did not close the door completely and switched off the light. The long robe slid to the ground in front of the tub. A blissful expression spread across her face, the aching muscles relaxing as she vanished under the bubbles. Getting in the tub her fingers played with the bubbles as they covered her body, listening to the soft tones played by her phone. She listened to a relaxation playlist for a brief moment before the tones were too much to handle, had after a short time an unpleasant effect on her mind. The lovely fragrance caused the pain to fade into oblivion. A book rested on the ground on the fresh white towel, but she didn’t touch it, forgot about its existence and closed her eyes in delight. Her hair flowed in the water. Candles banned the darkness and the shadows.
The first thing Spencer noticed was the calmness ruling in the apartment. The smell of flowers filled the space and the boots and the coat let Spencer know that his girlfriend was home. Always Y/N greeted him with kisses and hugs. Her voice always greeted him but an uncommon silence found a home in the space he called his home. Spencer strolled through the apartment, saw the mug of tea on the kitchen counter and placed his bag on the island. He loosened the tie around his neck and unbuttoned the first button of his dark button-down.
The cartons standing in the far corner of the room were empty, no longer filled with memories and decoration. Pictures of dates hung on the walls in dark wooden frames, let Spencer smile and remember what nearly dared to be forgotten. He left the kitchen behind and wanted to go into the bedroom, but then he saw out of the corner of his eye dim light spreading on the even wooden floor. Leaving the living room behind, Spencer changed his route and walked toward the bathroom and then he smelled it, the lavender, the smell of spring, of rich flowers blossoming under the vibrant light of the sun shining down on the meadow of flowers. He opened the door and a silent moan of the wood woke her from her slumber. A grin spread on her lips, haven’t heard how her boyfriend of more than a year entered the flat.
Spencer leaned against the door with his arms folded in front of his chest. He had rolled up the sleeves of his button-down, allowing her to witness his muscular arms flexing with each movement. Y/N rose, leaned against the tub. The water was pink and his heart skipped a beat as he witnessed the calm expression on her delicate features, was sure after the exchanged messages he would meet his girlfriend in a crying, miserable state. Bubbles hid her soft flesh. He pushed himself off of the door and stepped closer to the tub filled with bubbles and hot water and kneeled by her side. Spencer couldn’t take his eyes off of her and Y/N stretched out her hand covered by bubbles, wanting to reach out for him, wanting to force him to come closer. Drops fell. He moved closer to her face as her hand clung to the cold material of the tub, searching for a hold. Lovingly, he pressed his lips on hers, tasting the chocolate she must have eaten before she got into the tub, had seen the half-eaten bar of chocolate on the kitchen counter. The hand she had clung to the edge before she placed it on his cheek, touching his skin and stroking his skin.
“I missed you, Spence,” Y/N whispered, half sleeping. “How was your day?” she added.
Spencer opened his eyes and placed one last kiss on her hand before he brushed the bubbles away from her fingers.
“I missed you. And too long and I assume your day wasn´t pleasant.”, “You are right Sherlock. Come in, here is enough room for the two of us.” she teased, making Spencer laugh.
Spencer didn't need to think about it twice. He rose from the floor of the bathroom and stepped away from the tub. Instantly, he was aware of the pairs of eyes settling on him as his fingers worked to undo the last of the buttons of his button-down.
The heat of the bathroom caressed his skin, his pants fell to the floor, formed to a pile from which he stepped out and headed towards the tub in which his girlfriend was sitting who had made a space for him behind her. A cosy warmth enveloped him as his lower body disappeared under the water. Immediately his arms wrapped around her body, pulling Y/N closer to his chest and letting her body vanish under the water. Exhaling she rested her head on his firm chest, feeling his beating heart. Y/N closed her eyes as she felt his lips once again resting on her skin. His hands rested on her hips and she stroked his hands.
Lovely words let her know how much Spencer missed her. His warm breath collided with her neck. Her hands clutched his. His lips left a trail of kisses on her neck. Y/N felt how much he was missing her, felt it in every fibre of her body, felt his manhood growing under her body as soft tones escaped her throat. His fingers weren’t rough, travelled down the contour of her body.
A small whimper escaped her lips. Spencer freed his right hand from her touch and let it travel up her body, travelled up the side of her body and stopped as the skin turned softer under his roughened fingers. She moaned out as he pleasured her, taking her nipple between his fingers, making her sing.
"Shouldn't we move this to the bathroom? Statistically, accidents happen during." Spencer couldn't finish the sentence he'd started. Quickly, she put her lips on his, making it impossible for him to finish his sentence.
"You're right." it escaped her.
Quickly Spencer picked her up and took her with him, lowering her feet to the floor on the towel. He couldn't take his hands off her body. Hungrily, his lips moved on hers. Heavy moans filled the tiny space. She wanted to find herself in the new bedroom but Spencer didn’t move, forbid her with his hands to move away from him. The desire was too big to let go of her, needed her now.
Roughly Spencer grabbed her jaw, hushed the words escaping her throat, not interested in them leaving her in hush tones. A grin spread on his lips, feeling the wetness on his fingers as his fingers spread touches. His fingers curled inside her, then drawing small circles on the small bud, felt the dripping wetness between her folds coating his fingers. Spencer kissed her tenderly, gliding his tongue over her bottom lip. Y/N threw her head back, as he sucked on the sensitive skin of her neck.
Swiftly Spencer turned her around, pressed her back against his upper body and immediately her fingers clawed into the wood of the cupboard under the sink. A low moan escaped her throat as she spread her legs and felt his manhood brushing her skin. He buried his head in the crook of her neck, whispered words Y/N thought would never leave his lips.
If the mirror had not been fogged, she would have seen herself, the lust in her eyes, the redness his kisses and touches had left on her skin and witness the expression in her lover's eyes. They were dark, dark as the night and turned darker as her moans filled the bathroom, echoing loudly. Carefully he entered her. She cried out, felt him entering her deeper and deeper. Fast, Spencer caught the perfect pace. His thumb brushed her clit, flicking over it as his pace grew faster, sinking deeper into her womanhood. She whimpered feeling how he stretched her perfectly. His big hand massaged her ass while his other hand gripped her hip and forced her to move closer to him as his fingers left marks on her back. Heavy he grunted. Gently he slapped her ass, leaving reddening marks on her flesh. His member twitched. Tightly he grabbed her hair, pounding into her. Her breath hitched. Waves of pleasure washed over her body. Spencer lowered his head and placed one last kiss on her shoulder.
“I love you.” he breathed out of breath.
No answer made it past her lips, struggling to fill her lungs with air as his member slid out of her. Once again his arms coiled around her body, turning his girlfriend in his arms and pressing her firmly against his upper body, allowing her to rest her head on his chest, right above his heart.
Y/N rolled over in the bed, looking for her boyfriend's warmth but, much to her disappointment, he wasn't there. It took her a second to realize it and once she did, she groaned softly and sat up. She looked at the digital clock on her bedside table. 3:24 am.
She looked around the room before looking at the door, seeing orange light spill through the bottom. Y/N sighed and got out of bed, wrapping one of the many blankets laying everywhere around herself. Her feet padded softly on the hard wood floors as she walked towards the door.
She placed her hand on the door knob and opened it quietly. She squinted her eyes as they came into contact with the lights above her. Once her eyes adjusted to the light, she looked over at the living room.
Spencer Reid was sitting there with piles and piles of books and files, sorting and writing. She wondered how he ever had enough energy to do it but then she remembered that he was a coffee maniac.
She walked towards him making sure that her footsteps were light. "Spence, honey, it's three AM." She said. Her voice came out soft but raspy at the same time.
The man turned to her briefly but then back to his work. "Sorry, this unsub's behavior is just unlike any that we've seen before." He told her.
Y/N sighed softly and bent over the back of the couch, placing a small kiss on his neck. He turned his head just enough to kiss the side of her head, never really taking his eyes off of the papers in front of him. "Babe, the case isn't even active. Just come to bed and you can do this tomorrow." She spoke tiredly, kissing his neck once more.
"Y/N/N, it's killing me that I can't figure this out. I just need to get it done." He sighed.
Y/N gave up and rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'll wait then."
This time, Spencer turned to her. "No, honey, go to bed. You look tired."
The woman shook her head. "If you're up, I'm up." She walked around the couch and sat next to him where there weren't papers everywhere. Spencer hadn't taken his eyes off of her. He kissed her twice and then returned to his work.
Y/N leaned her head on his shoulder and placed her hand on the back of his neck, dragging her fingernails lightly across the skin and running her hand through his soft hair.
Exactly an hour later, Spencer perked up a little. "I got it! It-" he looked down to see his girlfriend passed out, leaning on him. He took a deep breath, containing his excitement. "It can wait until tomorrow."
He slowly got up from the couch, catching Y/N before she hit the leather and lifting her into his arms. She unconsciously, wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled into his chest.
Spencer smiled lightly and headed to the bedroom. When he reached the bed, he laid her down gently. As he was walking around to the other side of the bed, he tugged his shirt off and threw it somewhere in the room. He found his pajama pants and changed into those before climbing under the covers.
When he got into bed and turned towards Y/N she opened her eyes a little. "You carried me in here didn't you?"
"Well, yeah. I mean, you didn't float in here." He joked quietly.
Y/N scooted forward and wrapped her arms around him. "Aw. You're my big strong man." She cooed.
She could see Spencer rolling his eyes even in the dark. He smiled anyway and placed his hands on her cheeks. "Thanks."
"For what?"
"For staying up with me- or trying, anyway." He answered. Y/N leaned forward and kissed him softly. "I love you, Y/N." He whispered.
"I love you more." She giggled, digging her head into his chest.
"Not possible."

I love you so much, and your work!!
A/N: Thanks for the request, anon! Thank you also to everyone who voted in the June Reader’s Choice survey, it means a lot that you voted! 💕 Wasn’t sure who was going to reign supreme but y’all had an outcry for this fic! As soon as it touched 5 p.m., Spencer rushed to pack up his things. He had watched the time carefully to make sure he didn’t accidentally work past 5. He knew a certain someone would be all pouts if he dared to show up even a second late. However, his rushed packing wasn’t going unnoticed.
“You’re in a hurry,” JJ commented.
Spencer looked up at her with a dumbfounded look at first but then he smiled. He shrugged off her comment as he threw his satchel over his shoulder.
Okay so you're riding baby Spence and notice his eyes are shut tight. He's also mumbling something nervously, looking as if he's in pain. You stop moving and lean forward and realize he's listing all US States to distract himself from the feeling you and to stop himself from cumming too soon as he always does. ❤️
okay this one Really Got me and had me Thinking Thoughts at NOON so here we go here is a little blurb thank you you are a genius for this idea ❤️
ship: fem! reader x spencer reid
word count: .6k
warnings: sub!spencer, brief concern about consent (there is no consent issue, it's just what the ask says basically!), slight breath play (spencer receiving, some very very light choking), calling him a 'good boy, i think that's all)
Your eyes are closed. You know that Spencer is splayed beneath you, his legs parted and his knees up to provide you with some kind of support. His head pressed against the headboard. His glasses almost popping off his nose, you'd insisted he'd kept them on, and he'd gulped when you'd asked.
Your movements are slow, measured. The pad of his thumb presses at your clit in a steady rhythm, and you clench around his cock.
That's when he whines.
Opening your eyes, you see it, his own squeezed close, his face pressed into what looks like a wince - bushy eyebrows pushed together and the glasses slipped to the end of his nose, his plush lips moving as they mumble something you can't quite make out. Your hips still, instantly, the moment your eyes open.
And then, as you stop, his own open.
"W-Why'd you stop?" He stutters.
"Are you okay?" You ask, leaning forward to thumb at his jaw, the picture of concern, "You know we can stop at any time if you want to, all you ever have to do is say-"
"No," He cuts over you quickly, "Uhm, no, p-please don't stop," His hips cant forward, sinking a bit deeper inside of you, "I was um, I was trying s-something I read online. To help me to uhm."
He trails off, pressing his lips together, averting his gaze to the ceiling to avoid your eye contact.
Smirking, you take his chin roughly between your thumb and forefinger, pulling him back so that he's looking you directly in the eye. There's a faint glean of sweat on his forehead, dampening the fringe, and his cheeks are as pink as his kiss-swollen lips.
"Tell me."
"I-I was," He mumbles, his voice cracking, almost entirely black pupils meeting yours, "I was trying to make myself, l-last longer."
"And what were you trying?" You ask, relinquishing your hold of his chin. You move his left hand from the side to your ass, helping you establish balance in this new position, his other still trapped where your bodies meet.
"I-I was naming all the states in the um, in the contigous United States."
You hum with encouragement, rolling your hips so that he slips in and out of you with ease, using his torso for leverage. He sucks in a breath, and you bite down on the sensitive spot below his ear, his hips bucking up further to properly sheath themselves inside of you.
"That's so fucking hot Spencer," You praise, nipping at his throat, feeling his Adam's apple bob under your lips, "Wanting to last longer for me. You just like being inside of me so much you'll do anything to get more won't you?"
Your nails dig tiny crescent moon marks into the hollow of his throat, and he pushes his head further back. Baring it to you. You splay your fingers across it, squeezing lightly on both sides.
"P-please."
He's desperate. Far too close already.
Just how you like him.
"I tell you what," You whisper against the shell of his ear, sucking a purpling mark into the skin at the base of it, "You start naming them again, in alphabetical order, and we'll see if you can last that long."
From the way he rapidly resumes his ministrations on your clit, you know he knows which one it will be. But still, he stutters out a raspy, "A-Alabama" and you reward him with an ever so slightly condescending, "Oh good boy." The way he shivers before murmuring "Arizona" only makes you more confident in your prediction.
hear me out.... spencer taking you to his officr to cuff you to his chair or whatevs because you kept interrupting him when he was talking. he'd also threaten to leave you there too.
“yn, please, just let me finish my thought” spencer placed his hand on top of yours and you nodded, crossing your legs. spencer continued to speak to his friends, and you rolled your lips in between your teeth.
“spencer i just think-” spencer huffed and everyone around you two fell silent. you snapped your jaw shut when you saw spencer's jaw clench. "i'm sorry"
"well, i think it's time for us to.. go and work on that case. spencer, why don't you meet us there with yn?" penelope tried to smooth out the tension, but there was no use. everyone scattered out the door.
emily locked eyes with yours before she shut the door behind her, and you grew nervous as the silence grew louder. "look at me" spencer raised his voice and you obeyed, looking up at him. "how many times did i tell you to let me finish my sentence?"
"more than once" you mumbled and he stood in front of you, your eyes in contact with the button on his pants. "i'm sorry, doctor. i just-"
"no, no excuse. no trying to get yourself out of this one you had a lot of warnings, and you ignored each one. come with me" you stood up and spencer took you to his home office, and pointed to the chair without a word.
you sat down with your hands in your lap, and spencer circled around you with his finger dragging up your arm, over your shoulders and down your other arm. he took your hand out of your lap, handcuffing it to the arm of the chair. "spencer?"
spencer didn't look at you, but handcuffed the other hand. he stood back and looked at you before leaving the room for a minute, coming back with your vibrator wand.
spencer pulled down your short, taking them off your legs. he flicked on the vibrator. "lift your hips" you did as he told you, and you felt the chair vibrating on your arms. "sit" you whimper as the vibrator pressed against your clit.
"doctor, p..please i'm sorry. i won't interrupt you again" you moan and tug the handcuffs, and spencer just stood with his hands in his pockets.
"10 minutes. then i'll come back" spencer declared and your expression softened, clanking the handcuffs against the arms of the desk chair. "knock it off, or i'll leave you here while i go work on the case. who knows how long that will be too. and you are allowed to cum, but i want you to remember why you're being punished" spencer's voice was quiet, but just enough to let you know who ran things around here.
orgasm after orgasm, you were nearly crying. spencer sat in the chair you usually sit in while he works, reading his book and mindlessly flipping through the pages as you basically screamed his name after you came.
exactly 10 minutes had passed and he closed his book, standing up and turning off the vibrator. you took big breaths, sweat running down the side of your face with your legs covered with your juices, spencer's chair soaked with your cum.
"i heard 8 orgasms, do you feel good?" spencer fell to his knees in front of you, pushing your legs over your arms and smiling. "god, look at you. your underwear is soaked, and my chair. naughty girl" he tsked and pulled your underwear off your body, licking your inner thighs and around your pussy, cleaning you up. "you taste so good after you've been punished"
you inhaled sharply as his tongue dragged up your swollen clit, your fingers trembling and arms tugging with the handcuffs. "i'm sorry, doctor, i won't interrupt you again. i'm sorry" you apologized over and over, spencer smiling as he kissed your thighs and pelvic bone softly.
spencer pulled away, taking your legs down and kissing your lips softly. "apology accepted. now, are you ready to come to work with me, without interrupting me?" you nodded and he unlocked your wrists, and you immediately held his face and kissed him.
"i love you, spencer. so much" you mumbled against his mouth and you stood up, falling into his body, the both of you laughing. "uhm.. give me a couple minutes, please?"
"i'll go get you some water. do you want me to start a shower?" you nodded and he smiled, kissing you against before he disappeared into the kitchen.

You’re ten when you sprain your ankle on the playground at school and wind up at the doctor’s office with your mom. The doctor was nice and distracted you from the pain in your ankle with some funny jokes. He even lets you listen to your own heartbeat with his stethoscope.
But at the end of the visit, once you have a splint on your ankle, he turns to your mom and mentions the term overweight.
“She’s on the high end of her age’s weight class,” he says matter-of-factly. And maybe it was just a simple matter of fact. You’d never thought much about your weight before that day. You were happy. You loved to play- especially outside. Your favorite game was capture the flag, but it didn’t matter. You were active and healthy.
Your mom listens to his advice intently, because he was the professional after all. Who was she to question his word on your health? And when you get home you’re placed on what she calls a diet.
“That means no more ice cream after dinner, and we’re going to cut back on the popcorn, too.”
And maybe the doctor was right, you started to think, as you took a long look at yourself in the full length mirror behind the bathroom door that very same night. You pinch the skin protruding from your stomach and watch as the fat around your thighs jiggles. Maybe you were unhealthy- too big, too fat. You think of your friends at school and for the first time, (but certainly not the last), you find yourself wondering, why don’t I look like them?
“The diet will help,” your mom tells you reassuringly.
Except it doesn’t. Instead, you wind up gaining more weight, this time at a rapid pace, because you’ve found that when Mom says you can’t have ice cream after dinner, you wind up sneaking into the kitchen after she’s gone to bed and eating it anyway. But you don’t stop there. You eat some of the watermelon that’s left in the fridge, too, and some crackers from the cupboard. Just enough from each box so that she doesn’t notice, but enough altogether, that you go to bed with a full, aching stomach.
This becomes a pretty standard part of your nightly routine until your mom caught you digging through the pantry one night, while she had come downstairs quietly for a glass of water.
The look on her face was shock, followed quickly by disgust. You felt embarrassed and ashamed and humiliated.
“I can’t believe you’ve been doing this,” then, “it’s no wonder you’re gaining all that weight.”
…
You’ve always had a difficult time loving yourself, you’ve always looked in the mirror and not necessarily liked what looked back at you. Sure, there were days where you thought to yourself, I look pretty today. But in the back of your mind there was always that voice that would add, for a fat person.
When you’re in your twenties, you finally break the habitual pattern of binge eating that you’d been doing since you were a kid. As you ticked off the number of days it had been since a binge, you sigh. You really would have thought that by stopping consistently overindulging, you’d lose the weight. But that wasn’t the case. The weight, for the most part, stayed on.
By your thirties, you’d come to an understanding, a blind acceptance, with your body. You didn’t always like it, but you appreciated it. And that was good enough.
Regardless, you had other things going for you besides your looks and your weight. You had a great job and infinite career goals to focus on. Not everything had to be about being beautiful and desirable, you learned.
…
Your absolute favorite thing about being part of the BAU were your coworkers. You never expected how close you’d get to them, but before you knew it, they felt more like your family than anything else. Something about constantly facing life-threatening situations with one another creates an everlasting bond.
You and the rest of the team have a rare evening off, which normally, you’d spend waiting skeptically by your phone, convinced that you’d get called in for a case any minute. But not tonight, Emily had promised. All cases were on hold until the morning. You were sitting at home, contemplating what to do with your precious time off when the text comes through.
It’s Tara messaging the group chat, asking if anyone was up for drinks and a night out. It doesn’t take long before Luke’s name comes flashing across your screen next. It’s impossible to ignore the butterflies fluttering rampantly in your abdomen as you read the words that he’s typed.
I’m in, he says.
Luke was the newest member to have joined the team. Just months prior, he transferred to the BAU from the Fugitive Task Force. As soon as Emily brought him into the conference room, you knew all bets were off. He was tall and handsome, with a clean cut, thick beard and dark skin. While he was given personalized introductions, you had noticed his bicep flexing as he extended his arm out to shake everyone’s hands. When he was introduced to you, his large hand engulfing your much smaller one and his dark eyes capturing yours, you knew instantly that Luke Alvez was a catch.
It was pointless and childish and arbitrary, and you knew it. But you couldn’t shake it, no matter how hard you tried- no matter how many times you told yourself he’d never be into a girl like you. A fat girl like you, the voice in your head said. You tried to challenge that voice- fought back and argued with it occasionally, but it still found ways of reminding you that you weren’t worthy of attention or affection from someone like Luke.
Before your insecurities could convince you to decline Tara’s invite, you typed back a quick, I’m in, too.
…
Turns out most of the team decides to join your night out. And the night was fun, or it would have been, if not for the critic in your head being abnormally loud.
Look how skinny JJ looks in that top- you could never pull that off.
Don’t eat the nachos, they’ll think you’re fat.
Eat the nachos, because if you don’t, they’ll know that you know you’re fat.
It was exhausting and all consuming. And while you knew your team didn’t give a shit if you ate the damn nachos or not, you couldn’t stop obsessing over it.
You try your best to enjoy yourself- to push those thoughts to the back of your mind.
Tara had picked the spot, it was a small pub that serves drinks and food. There was music, but not so loud that you couldn’t hear each other talk. You sipped your vodka lemonade, the straw pinched between your thumb and pointer finger, and watched as Emily and JJ were taking on Rossi and Matt in a game of pool.
Across from you sits Tara and Spencer. They’re having an in depth conversation about Jean Piaget, when suddenly, Luke slides into the empty booth seat beside you. Your senses are overwhelmed momentarily by his cologne, strong but not overpowering. His arm brushing yours, the warmth from his skin sending an electrical current through your entire body. You tense up, if not just from the shock of it all. But as soon as you let your guard down, the voice in your head creeps back into play. He can feel how fat your arm is- pull away. So you do.
If he notices, he doesn’t comment. Instead he smiles, his white teeth on full display. “Having fun?” he asks.
You take another sip of your lemonade and nod. “Yeah, it’s nice to have a night away from..” your voice trails off as you think of the word.
“Crime? Murder?” Luke smirks. “Serial killers?”
You chuckle, “How about all of the above?”
Luke nods. “They say crime never sleeps, but we finally will tonight.” He sets his drink down and scratches his beard in contemplation. “I’m thinking at least eight hours tonight.”
“Eight hours?” you gawk, “You’re living large!”
Luke laughs. There’s a brief pause in the chatter, and you take another sip of your drink awkwardly. You’re about to make a joke about the competitive pool game going on in front of you, when Luke leans over and says quietly, “You look really nice tonight.”
You falter, you don’t know how to answer, and you can’t even bring yourself to look up at Luke’s gaze, because you weren’t sure you could handle it. And while you should say thank you, you only curl into yourself as if what Luke said was just a snide, nasty remark. Compliments like that were so foreign to you and you felt like you didn’t deserve them, so you had a hard time believing that what Luke had to say was actually genuine. You knew he wasn’t the type of person to ever poke fun at another, but isn’t that what made the most sense? He certainly wasn’t hitting on you- so maybe it was a pity remark, or just a way to fill the awkward silence.
You end up just offering him a curt smile, pretending that you don’t see the way his face falls.
…
You were happy, most of the time you are happy and carefree. Not as carefree as some on the team, but still. You joke with Tara and Emily and have meaningful conversations with Spencer. You ask Dave about his weekends and listen with intent as Matt tells you stories about his infinite amount of kids.
But then there are days where you’re nowhere near that feeling.
There are bad days. And when they come, they're always so sudden and unexpected, it almost takes your breath away.
You’re away on a case with the team in Colorado Springs when you have your first really bad day in a long time.
The case, for the most part, keeps you busy, and for a while you’re able to ward off the negative thoughts. Instead of fixating on how worthless and huge you felt, you think about the four victims that have gone missing in the area, you think of the Unsub and ways your team can find them. You think about ME reports and patterns in each abduction, it’s enough of a puzzle that you’re able to stay occupied.
But when you’re back at the hotel, the rest of your team in their own rooms, and left to your own thoughts, that’s when the quiet consumes you.
As a child, you learned that the one thing-the only thing- that helps when you’re feeling this overwhelming sense of anxiety and dread, is to binge. You figured it was your way of self harming. It helps you stuff the negative thoughts so deep down within yourself, that for at least a little while, you’re numb to all the pain.
You know you shouldn’t- you hadn’t in so long. But just this one time would be okay, right? Only this once, just to feel a little better, and then you wouldn’t do it again.
The battle inside your own head rages on. You take deep breaths, you try to journal what you’re feeling, but the feeling doesn’t subside. Only when there’s a knock at your door, and you’re forced to pull yourself back to reality, does the argument get placed on the backburner. You blink back tears that you didn’t even realize were there before hastily making your way to the hotel door.
“J-just a minute,” you try to make your voice sound normal, like the debate going on inside your mind about what you were about to do would be obvious to whoever was at the door. You quickly wiped your cheeks and brushed your wrinkled shirt off before hoisting it open
“Hi,” you manage to smile as you open the door.
Luke was on the other side, to your surprise, holding two brown paper bags and a couple of bottled drinks.
“Hey,” Luke answers, his eyes lingering on your face for a brief moment. You wonder if he could tell you’d been crying.
“What’s up?” you drawl, as if to politely ask, why the hell are you knocking at my door at eleven pm?
“Everyone else was asleep and I was hungry-” he holds up the bag of what was apparently food and shrugs. “Except, I bought way too much, I’ll never eat it all. Are you hungry?”
You gave him a confused look. “I-”
“It’s just burgers, some chicken and some fries, nothing fancy- but I didn’t want to eat alone and I saw your light on..”
You sigh, but then step to the side, a gesture for him to come in. Luke gives you a relieved look before entering your room. He heads to the bed, which was the only place to sit.
“Do you mind?” he asks.
You shake your head, “No, go for it.”
You close the door behind him and join Luke, you barely noticed but the dread in your stomach from earlier had been replaced by a light, fluttering sensation.
As Luke begins unloading the greasy food from the bag, you hesitate. Was this a trick? Was he secretly trying to see how much food a fat girl like you could put away? Was he going to go back and tell the team how much you’d eaten?
Luke picked up on your apprehension.
“Is everything okay?”
You don’t answer quick enough before he asks, “What is it? What’s wrong?”
Goddamn these intuitive profilers.
“Nothing,” you say. But somehow, Luke hears the lie.
“I know I’m the new guy,” he says, “and it’s probably gonna take some time before you trust me, I know that. But I want you to know you can talk to me.”
“Yeah.. it-it’s nothing,” you manage to say, because you can’t talk. Not about this and not yet. Maybe not ever.
“Okay,” Luke nods. “Sometimes, it’s tough being the new guy. I can see how close you guys all are and I just want to be a part of that eventually, you know?” His eyes bare into your own and you catch a glimpse of the sincerity behind his words, and that’s when you start to feel guilty for ever thinking he was here to make fun of you. Luke was here for a friend, for comfort of his own.
You sit on the bed next to Luke and take a fry from the basket. “You are part of it.” You assure him. “Everyone here adores you.”
Me included, is what you don’t say.
“You wouldn’t be included in our group chat if we didn’t.”
That makes Luke smile, his dimple evident in his cheek.
He stays in your room for a while, the two of you laughing and talking throughout the night. You never realized how much you didn’t know about Luke. Like that he had a dog, for example, or that he grew up in Arizona and moved around a lot once he joined the military. He keeps you laughing, his jokes and sarcasm thrown intermittently through his speech.
You shared the chicken and fries with him, not even feeling self conscious when you reached for more to put on your plate. You were too wrapped up in whatever story Luke was telling and the way his eyes lit up as he talked about the things that interested him, to be insecure.
Luke takes the last drink of his bottled water before sighing. “I suppose I should head back to my room, try to get a little sleep.” He lifts his arm and looks at the watch on his wrist. “I’m definitely not getting my eight hours tonight,” he laughs.
You nod in agreement, the two of you stand up in sync, and you walk Luke to the door.
Luke steps into the hallway before turning to face you. “Thanks for the company,” he says.
You smile, “Thanks for the food.”
There’s a brief, awkward silence, where neither one of you knows what to do next. But then, it happens quickly. One minute, you’re studying the way Luke’s warm, brown eyes are trained on you, and then, before you can predict what’s about to happen next, he’s stepping forward, one hand planting itself firmly on your hip and the other cupping your chin. He pauses briefly, like he’s giving you the chance to pull away. But you don’t- and so the next thing you know, Luke’s pulling you closer to his body and his lips are pressing against your own, their warmth spreading the entirety of your body.
Fat, fat, fat- your mind suddenly screams. You suddenly become hyper-aware of his fingers digging into the soft, fleshy part of your hip, you wonder if he’ll be repulsed by what he feels. But if he was, he didn’t make it obvious.
There had to be a catch, you thought- some ulterior motive for him to be kissing you like this. Guys like Luke didn’t go after girls like you. Fat girls like you, the voice said.
He just wants sex.
He’s not thinking straight.
He’ll regret this tomorrow.
You pull away, breathlessly, your heart suddenly racing. Before Luke can suspect that something’s wrong, you offer him your best smile. “I should get to bed,” you explain.
Luke can sense the shift in your tone, he wants to ask what’s wrong, but you’re already stepping away from him. Instead he nods, trying to hide his confusion. “Okay, yeah. G-goodnight.”
“Night,” you whisper before shutting the door.
…
Luke hoped he hadn’t fucked up.
That was his first thought as soon as he saw the door close in his face. He bites his lips, they still taste like you, and slowly backs away.
His feet drum against the cheap carpet floor of the hotel as he paces the few doors down to his own room.
He really thought you’d liked him- thought you’d reciprocated the kiss even. But judging by the look on your face when you closed the door, he thinks that he might be sorely mistaken.
He doesn’t get his eight hours of sleep.
In fact, he barely gets any. Instead, he spends the night trying to figure out where the hell he could have gotten things so wrong.
When Luke’s phone started buzzing loudly, he felt exhausted and not even close to ready for the inevitably long day ahead.
Regardless, Luke got ready quickly. The one conclusion that he had come to after contemplating all night was that he wanted to find you and clear the air. Despite his obvious feelings for you that were now right out in the open, he couldn’t risk your friendship, or making things awkward at work. Once he was showered and dressed, Luke departed the hotel in search of some coffee.
He remembered that you liked it hot, with just cream and a hint of cinnamon. This would be his peace offering, an apology for crossing the line, the promise that it wouldn’t happen again.
…
You were answering a text from Emily on your phone, directing you to go to the ME office, when you heard a voice calling your name.
Your head snapped up, and there, sure enough, like he was waiting for you in the lobby, Luke came jogging over. In his outstretched arm was a cup of coffee.
“Hey.”
For a moment, you wonder if maybe Luke really was into you. A kiss one night and coffee the next morning? Surely that meant he wasn’t just looking for a hookup, right?
You accept his offering with a smile. “What’s this?” you ask, dumbfoundedly. Could you really be this lucky? Could he actually be interested in you? The butterflies in your stomach started flying rampantly as you quickly got your hopes up.
“I wanted to apologize-” he says, his head falling, like he was ashamed. “For last night.”
Your heart sank.
“I crossed the line, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable. Your friendship means a lot to me-”
And there it was. You were no stranger to the friendship line. Guys used it all the time as a way out. After going on dates, after hookups- it was always the same response from them when they weren’t interested- I like you but I don’t want to risk our friendship. I really just want to be friends. I’m not ready for a relationship, can we just be friends?
To you that translated as, you’re not good enough for me.
You were a fool for ever getting your hopes up- for ever thinking that someone like Luke could actually be interested in someone like you.
You take the coffee and try not to meet his eager gaze.
“Don’t worry about it,” is all you can manage to croak out.
Luke can sense the shift in your tone. “I really am sorry,” he says.
But you’re shaking your head, and feign your best smile. You back away from him, not wanting him to see the glistening tears evident in your eyes.
Stupid, stupid, stupid, your mind was screaming at you. “It’s fine,” you say instead, your voice cracking slightly just as you turned to leave the hotel lobby.
…
Luke knew he had fucked up.
The peace offering that he had made was nothing short of a disaster, and now he’d have to come up with another way to make up for what he’d done.
That much was obvious as he was left standing alone in the hotel lobby, gazing at the doors you’d just walked out of.
...
Three days later, on the jet ride home, Luke could barely get you to even look at him. Not that he had made much of an effort, but still. He wanted to give you space. Hadn’t he done enough damage already?
He knew he’d have to think of a way to talk to you about what had happened. Maybe if he just explained himself, you’d understand.
But how was he supposed to talk to you when you wouldn’t even look at him?
He finally gets his chance when the jet has landed and the team is back at the BAU. He finds you at your desk, hunched over a stack of paperwork. Rossi, JJ, Tara, and Spencer had already left for the night. Matt was gathering his belongings from his desk and heading out the door, meanwhile Emily was barricaded in her office with the door shut. If Luke was ever going to get a minute alone with you- it was now.
He shuffled cautiously over towards your desk. You gave him no indication that you’d heard him at all, but nonetheless, he clears his throat before getting too close. He didn’t want to startle you.
You don’t even look up from what you’re writing.
“Hey,” he says. “Can I talk to you for a second?” he asks.
“I can’t right now,” your tone is flat. “I have this whole stack I need to do before tomorrow.”
Luke feels frustrated and dismissed, but he bites his tongue. Instead of pushing, he grabs half the stack of paperwork from atop your desk and takes it back to his own desk. Before you could protest or argue, he sits down and flips open the first file, ready to work.
…
The entire floor is eerily quiet. Besides the occasional clicking of keys and scratching of a pen, you and Luke work in complete silence.
You feel bad. You really didn’t have to finish all of this paperwork by tomorrow. That was just your excuse to avoid talking with Luke. But now, it was almost 1 AM and you were nearly finished with it all.
You hear his pen click and you knew that was his indicator that he was done with his stack. Your heart clenched in your chest anxiously. You hear him approach your desk and there’s a sudden thump when he throws the stack back where he found it.
“There,” he announces. “Can we talk now?”
The man was persistent.
You set your pen down lightly and sigh. Admitting defeat, you nod.
Luke pulls Spencer’s chair out from his desk, which was right next to yours. He scoots it closer to you.
Your gaze remains hyper focused on your hands, which are cupped and laid neatly in your lap. Luke ducks his head down, trying to catch your eyes. Begrudgingly, you look up and make eye contact with him.
“Listen,” his voice is soft, “I am really sorry for kissing you the other night.”
You groan frustratedly. “Will you stop apologizing?” you finally say. “I get it, you didn’t want to kiss me. It’s fine- But I don’t need this- this pity.”
Luke’s taken aback by your frustration, but it’s the most you’ve said to him in the last three days, so he takes it all in. As your words play back in his mind, he frowns. “I never said I didn’t want to kiss you.”
“Well- whatever you did or didn’t say, I get it, okay? I get that it was a mistake and it didn’t mean anything. It’s fine.”
But Luke continues shaking his head. “I never said any of that-” he protests.
You remain quiet, but he continues. “Y/N, I never said any of that. Is that how you feel about it?” he asks, hands clasped tightly together.
You shrug. Your cheeks felt hot- you were insecure with Luke’s eyes trained so intently on you. You wished you could just forget this whole thing happened, wished you could just disappear. But Luke keeps pushing.
“Is that how you feel?” he repeats. There’s a brief pause. “Because that’s not how I feel,” he says. “I don’t regret kissing you. I like you and I wanted to do it. And I thought you wanted to, too. If I had known you didn’t- I never would have done it. I regret making you uncomfortable, and I regret making things awkward between us, but I don’t regret the kiss.”
Luke’s words swim around in your head, but they’re a jumbled mess. You try to piece them together slowly, in order to process what he was saying. Did he just say he liked you?
There was a part of you that felt like this whole thing had just been a cruel joke. But yet, here he was- sitting in front of you with the most sincere eyes you’d ever seen, and suddenly, you started to wonder if maybe this was real. Maybe, for God-only-knows what reason, Luke actually had feelings for you- was actually attracted to you.
“You like me?” you ask, your voice low.
Luke laughs- like actually laughs- and when you look up at him, his eyes are squinting as his lips are curled into a wide grin. “Uh, yeah- I thought I’d made that blatantly clear.”
But you shake your head. “I- I didn’t know..”
“I kissed you-” he says, like it’s obvious.
“I know, but I figured you just wanted to hookup- I didn’t think you actually liked me-”
“But I brought you dinner- and coffee. Did you think I just do that for everyone?”
You remain guarded, because you still couldn’t entirely trust this. “Yeah,” you say. “Kind of, I guess.”
“Okay,” Luke nods. “Let me spell it out for you then. I like you.” He says each word carefully and slowly. “And I liked kissing you. And I’d really like to date you. And if you don’t feel the same, that’s okay. But I’d still like to be friends, and I’d really like for things not to be awkward at work.”
You stare in awe, not able to believe any of this was really happening. You wanted to ask why. Why did this handsome, kind, honest man like you? What made you even remotely good enough for him?
But you didn’t ask. Because did it matter right now?
“Your turn,” Luke urges. “Since I seem to have such a hard time reading you, can you spell it out for me too?”
You hesitated. You’d never flat out told someone how you felt about them. You were insecure and terrified of rejection. And even though Luke had flat out told you rejection wasn’t a possibility, you were still embarrassed to tell him how you felt. You didn’t like how vulnerable that made you- how open to the hurt that made you.
But Luke’s smile was so reassuring and kind, you tried not to think too much before telling him quietly, “I like you too. I have for a while, actually.”
He chuckles, which you think might just be your new favorite sound. “So why’d you pull away the other night?” he asks longingly. “Why have you been so distant?”
“Because- I didn’t think someone like you would ever be into someone like me.”
The moment the words left your lips, you regretted it. And when Luke’s face contorts into a look of confusion, and then hurt, you regret it even more.
“What do you mean?” he asks.
You fumble with your words, because you weren’t sure how to explain. “I just thought someone like you would be more apt to go after someone that looked more like Tara or JJ or Emily is all.”
“What’s the common denominator there? Because Tara, JJ, and Emily look nothing alike-”
“You know what I mean,” you protest. “I thought someone like you would be more apt to go for someone-” you pause before saying the word, “someone skinnier than- well... me.”
Luke’s face falls, but you laugh it off nervously. “Just makes you wonder why, is all,” you say.
“I like you-” he assures you. “I like you because you’re smart and you’re thoughtful.”
Luke’s managed to scoot his chair increasingly closer to you without you noticing. When you look down, you realize that your knees are practically touching. The first thing to run through your mind is, oh my God, your thighs are bigger than his. But you shake the thought away. You weren’t going to let that voice ruin this- not again.
“You’re intuitive- the best profiler.”
The way Luke’s looking at you makes everything else melt away. All you see is him and those unimaginably warm eyes.
“You’re kind and generous and you make me laugh,” he pauses. “You’re beautiful.”
You remember how soft his lips felt against yours when you kissed days ago, and all you wanted was to taste him again.
Thankfully, you don’t have to wait long for your wish to come true. Luke leans in, closing the gap between you two. Just when he’s only inches from your face, he grins. “I could keep going, you know?”
You ignore him and his cheeky grin and instead you lean forward, and without thinking, cup his face between your hands and pull him closer.
His lips are exactly as you remembered, soft and smooth and all-encompassing. Luke’s hand lands just above your knee and when you start to wonder whether or not your leg feels fat underneath his touch, you’re able to refute. Who the hell cares? Certainly not Luke, that much you were learning quickly. In fact, you wondered if maybe he even liked it.
The thought passes quickly, and you’re able to focus on the man in front of you instead- the one who was quickly claiming you as his own. The one you deserved.

Wine. It could be your best friend at times but, you really shouldn’t have poured that extra glass. You wouldn’t be in your current dilemma.
But, I mean after that last case, you needed a drink. Who wouldn’t? No, you weren’t drunk, you just felt… good. Good enough to call Spencer over at 2 in the morning and good enough to have you revealing things about yourself you didn’t want anyone aware of, especially not Spencer.

“Here you go, your black bow tie.” You said, handing Spencer a small box. His fingers brushed gently against yours as he grabbed the box causing the air to hitch briefly in your throat.
“I’m sorry it took so long.” You added. “It was buried deep at the back of our- ehm my wardrobe.” A small nervous smile circled your lips. Spencer smiled back at you. “It’s okay Y/N. Thank you.”
He placed the item on his desk before looking back at you. “You didn’t have to come all this way though. I could have stopped by our- ehm your place later to pick it up.” You waved your hand dissuasively. “I just thought it would be easier, in case you got called onto a case or something.” You replied, although the real reason was much more simple than that. You just wanted to see him.
Spencer nodded. He glanced around the empty bullpen before turning his attention back to you; unsure of what to say next.
The two of you used to be able to talk for hours on end, about everything and nothing all at once. Now whenever you saw each other, as rare as these meetings were, you bit your tongue afraid to say the wrong thing. Start another argument perhaps. The brunette doctor did the same.
It was heartbreaking really, because you still loved him. Deeply.

They say when you are missing someone that they are probably feeling the same, but I don’t think it’s possible for you to miss me as much as I’m missing you right now. - Edna St. Vincent Millay
Four months. About four months have passed since California and your heartbreaking conversation with Spencer on the jet. To this day you replay the moment in your head on a loop, hoping with each time that the outcome would somehow be different. But of course that’s not possible. Nothing was going to change.
Everyone on the team noticed the shift in dynamic between you and the young doctor - profilers profiled. It didn’t help to know that they all discussed their theories behind your back, something Penelope slipped up on ladies night, or that Spencer definitely shared his side of the story with Derek as the morning coffees stopped abruptly and instead you were greeted with a soft hello.
As the newest addition to the team you felt isolated and alone in all of this. You felt as if you had lost your support system on top of definitely losing a friend.
The new case brought you to Silverton, Colorado - a child abduction of a three year old girl. It was a small town. Everyone knew everyone yet no-one saw or heard anything. The whole team was on edge. The odds of finding this poor little girl alive were getting slimmer by the hour and with no leads everyone felt as if they were going in circles.
You sat at the edge of the table starring ahead at the bulletin board. The rest of the team was out conducting a search of the nearby mountain areas whilst you and Spencer went through files of everyone the family knew - something Hotch asked you to do hoping it would narrow the suspect pool and possibly push you to get along with the young doctor again.
Warnings: mild cursing, mentions of sexual assault, mentions of murder, usual criminal minds stuff tbh

No one understands why you do certain things even when you know you’re never going to get anything back. - Shahul Hussain
QUANTICO, VIRGINA
The smell of freshly brewed coffee was probably your favourite, especially at ungodly hours of the morning. Closing your eyes for a brief moment you could feel a sort of calm and warmth surround you. The aroma slowly awoke your senses. Your lips touched the brim of the white mug in your hand and you took a slow sip.
“Good morning Y/L/N.” Derek Morgan appeared beside you. You looked up at him from your mug. “I brought you a coffee but I can see you couldn’t wait.” He joked holding up a paper cup. “You know me Derek, I’ll take all the caffeine I can get.” You replied grabbing the cup from him. “Especially at four in the morning.” Derek smirked. “Yeah, they have to stop doing that to us.”
With two coffees in hand, you made your way to the conference room. The rest of the team was already there. You sat at your usual seat, placing the coffees on the table in front of you, and turned your attention to the screen.
“Morning my lovelies.” Penelope began. “I would say good but there is nothing good about it given the case we have been asked to wor-” “Garcia.” Hotch interrupted briefly encouraging her to get to the point. “Right. Yes. No time to waste.” Penelope cleared her throat and fixed her glasses.
“Last night, twenty-five year old Millie Moore didn’t return home after her shift at a bar in Riverside, California. Her body was discovered this morning in a dumpster behind her workplace.”
“The killer wanted her to be found.” JJ stated. There was a brief pause before Penelope continued.
“The kidnapping and murder was linked to four other cases in the state of California spanning over the last month.” The images filled the screen causing you to clench your fists in disgust.
The small rather insignificant action was observed by the brunette man sitting across from you. Unnoticed by everyone else at the table, Spencer’s eyes focused on your hands before travelling up to your face. He examined the look spread across your features, trying to figure out what was on your mind.
“He definitely has a type.” Rossi noticed. “Any signs of sexual assault?” Derek questioned. “Yes, actually all of the victims displayed signs of uhm.” Garcia couldn’t bare to finish her sentence.
“Given the small cooling off period between each victim, we need to assume the unsub has his next target already picked out.” Hotch stated. “Garcia can finish briefing us on the plane. Wheels up in twenty.”
The group nodded at each other and all got up from their seats - all but you. For some reason you couldn’t avert your eyes from the gruesome images that filled the screen.
“Y/N…” Spencer’s soft whisper brought you back to reality. He stood just a few steps away. You titled your head to look at him noticing a concerned look spread on his face. “They look like me Spence. The victims, they all look like me.”
Spencer cleared his throat. “Humans in fact, aren’t that genetically diverse. So eventually, the numbers would dictate that certain features resembling yours and another persons will randomly combine.” He paused.
“But that doesn’t mean they are an exact duplicate of you.” He smiled hoping you would smile back. “You’re right, sorry. It’s just a little weird.” “We’ve had weirder.” Spencer said as you got to your feet. The young doctor grabbed one of the coffees for you as you grabbed the other and followed you out to the pit.
“You know caffeine increases alertness by blocking a brain chemical called adenosine that makes you feel tired, while at the same time triggering the release of adrenalin that’s known to increase energy.” Spencer stated placing the coffee cup he was holding on your desk.
“If the amount of caffeine is high enough, these effects are stronger, resulting in caffeine-induced anxiety.” You finished the fact for him, slightly rolling your eyes. “Yes Spence, I know. You tell me this every time I have more than one mug in the morning.” The smart doctor shrugged smiling at you. He grabbed his go-bag from underneath his desk and waited for you.
The friendship you shared with Spencer was an odd one. The two of you were quite close when you were still at the academy. He helped you study for all your tests and was always one to share tips on how to complete certain tasks.
A couple of years go by without contact. At that point you were a field agent in New York, which is where you reconnected on a case. The spark was instant although neither of you wanted to admit it. This time Spencer stayed in touch. It was clear then that whatever undiscovered feelings he had for you back when you first met resurfaced - but you weren’t ready to explore whether you felt the same.
Next thing you know you were getting a call from Aaron Hotchner with an offer to join the BAU. Something, you later found out, Spencer had fought to get organised.
It felt like you played with his heart. To an outsider it probably even looked like that - he fell in love with a girl and landed her a dream job in hopes that she would love him back.
Although Spencer Reid and the Reader don’t find themselves in a romance with each other until well into their adulthood, their relationship has been decades in the making. Almost as if something as been pulling them together all these years.

Spencer looked up from across the table he sat at. For a split second, he swore his date for you. For a split second, he saw your face, your eyes, your smile in place of hers.
It made him feel incredibly guilty. Spencer thought Monica, the woman he has been seeing, was wonderful. She was beautiful, funny, and simply great to be around. The two of them shared so many interests, but she was not you.
Spencer knew no one would ever be you, and no one could ever amount to you, but it had been two years since the two of you split, and he was still not over you. He also knew that he would never be over you.
You worked in a different department in the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in the Information and Technology branch, so it was rare for I’m to see you in work, especially with him traveling all the time, but when he did, he still felt the pain in his chest that you were no longer his.
It did not take long for Monica to lead Spencer to her apartment, where the moment he stepped in, her lips were attached to his neck, and though it felt good, it did not feel as good as when you did it. He thought of you often, and often wished the women he was seeing was you, and because of this, he always seemed distracted.
Spencer’s hands laid lazily on Monica’s hips as she assaulted his neck with all the love she could muster, but Spencer was not there, mentally. After a few moments of no progression, Monica sighed against his neck, her soft breath fanning against his irritated skin. “You’re not into this,” she observed and stepped back away from him. His hands fell to his side, and he looked away, slightly embarrassed.
“No, I suppose I’m not,” Spencer muttered in return as he looked at anything but Monica.
With a sad sigh, she checked her watch and the glanced at the door. She wanted him to leave, but he felt numb because of the thought of you. “This is about (Y/N), isn’t it?” She asked as he crossed her arms over her stomach, feeling insecure all of a sudden.
Monica knew of you. She knew of you too well, being an intern at the FBI a couple of years prior, before moving into the law field. She knew of you and Spencer when you were in love, and she knew of you now, as the intimidating ex-girlfriend.
Spencer gave a shallow nod and Monica reciprocated. “You know, she moved back into town. She no longer lives in Maryland.” You told Spencer as she nodded towards the door. “And I happen to know that she is single,” Monica added and reached for the doorknob, urging Spencer to leave. “I’m sure Penelope has her address.” She finished and gave Spencer a sad smile, one he found difficult to return, but he gave another shallow nod and left from her apartment.
Before he could even turn around to speak to her any further, the door was closed, and he was number than ever. Would he actually go to you? After two years of not speaking a word to each other, would he go to your home, unannounced, just to hear your voice?
The question was answered as Spencer spoke ambiguously on the phone with Penelope, coaxing your address from her records, and before long, he was parking outside of her town home, which was covered in plants on the outside, much your style. He exited his car, walking in a brisk pace to your front door, and then he simply stood there.
Minutes passed, to the point where it had been nearly half an hour, and all the thoughts possibly passed through his brilliant brain as he stood there, numb. There was a surge of confidence in Spencer, and in that moment, his hand raised to the door, knocking swiftly and loudly, to the point where he flinched at the noise himself.
A moment passed, and he began to wonder if you were not home, and, just as he was going to turn away from the door and towards his car, there was the sound of your front door unlocking and it cracked, light flooding from inside onto the doorstep, where Spencer stood lamely.
He caught sight of your beautiful eyes peaking out at him, and upon sight of him, you opened the door wide, your eyes surprised. “Spencer, my love,” you greeted, just as you used to years before.
His words caught in his throat upon sight of you, and all the words he had planned to say fell from his mind, and it was blank. He swallowed hard, his eyes watering, and he finally was able to speak, “We never even spoke about it. We never tried to work it out.” He rubbed his forehead, and he was irritated for reasons unknown.
You frowned, stepping to the side, motioning for him to come inside. “Would you like some tea?” You asked quietly as you closed the door after Spencer, and led him towards the kitchen.
Spencer followed close behind you, and he swore he could smell the so-familiar scent of your hair from mere feet away. It made his stomach jump and twist and he felt a strange feeling that he hadn’t felt since he was yours.
You stood with your back to Spencer, busying yourself with a teapot of water, placing it on the stove, and getting other tea supplies ready. Spencer hovered at the door of the kitchen, not moving, and without even turning to look at him, you knew this. “Sit, Spencer,” you told him in an airy voice as you placed some cookies on a plate.
Spencer did as he was told, and sit at your kitchen table, oddly upright and stiff. You turned, a small smile on your lips, and moved to place the cookies and scones on the table in front of Spencer. You lowered into a seat, resting your head in your hands and your elbows on the table. “You are so beautiful,” Spencer muttered out without thinking, causing you to smile and giggle lightly, heat rising to your face.
Your eyes fell to the kitchen table and the smile fell from your lips. “It has been a while since I’ve heard your voice.” You picked at your fingernails, something you only did when you were nervous, and your chest was rising and falling much faster than it should have been.
Unintentionally, Spencer was profiling you. You knew this, and let your emotions wash over your face, and every nervous tick you had surface. You wanted Spencer to know how much it hurt to see him. “Too long,” he agreed and swallowed hard, “We never tried to work it out.”
With a stony laugh, you reached for a cookie, breaking it in half and staring at it. “From the way things ended, I had a feeling that trying to work things out was not an option.” Your eyes were fiery as you looked up to him, slightly outraged that he would try to say that you made no effort to work it out. “Also, from my recollection, you were the one to end things due to your job, when I work in the same damn building. Things could have worked out fine, but you are the one who ended things,” you snapped at the teapot on the stove behind you began to whistle loudly. You dropped the cookie on the table, crumbs scattering, which was so unlike you, and stood as you moved to the stove.
Spencer let your words sink in as he stared at the plate of cookies in front of him. He felt like he had been slapped, and the feeling was so uncomfortable for him. He took a shallow breath and ducked his head. “I’m not very good at committing,” Spencer admitted in a quiet, embarrassed voice, to which you sighed in response.
You turned back to him, teapot on a metal tray, and two mugs with teabags in them next to it stoutly. You set it down, your eyes avoiding his, and grabbed a carton of milk and small sugar bowl as well. “I know,” you finally replied, an irritable chime in your voice. “Which is so also why I do not understand why you are here right now.” You added as you sat once more. Your eyes refused to meet his as you poured two glasses of tea, adding milk and sugar, the exact amount Spencer liked, as you remembered.
Without so much as a single thought, Spencer spoke, “That is why.” He said sternly as you passed him the teacup, your eyes confused as you finally glanced up to him.
“What?”
Spencer held up the cup of tea, his eyes slightly wild. “This is why. I’ve never had a cup of tea since I left that has been as good as you make them. I haven’t been with a woman who I don’t see as you. I see you on the street, smiling and laughing, like we used to, and when I blink, it is someone else,” Spencer began to ramble, “When something funny, exciting, or sad happens, my first thought is to call you and tell you. Even after two years, you are my first thought in the morning, and my last thought before I fall asleep so miserably!” He ranted, his hands beginning to wring themselves out.
He huffed and put his head in his hands, unable to see you. “I made the worst mistake of my life leaving you, and I would do anything to take it all back now.” Spencer’s face remained in his hands. You were unable to see it at all, and for this reason, you felt stronger than ever.
With a slow, and shaky hand, you reached forward, and placed your hand on his head, your fingers immediately curling into his long curls, which it seems he has not cut since he was with you, and a small smile formed on your face as you stroked his head. His hair was so soft, and reminded you of so many memories you had with him before it all happened. Before you were alone.
“My mind hasn’t quit thinking about you, either, Spencer,” you murmured to him as you tugged lightly on his curls, making him look up at you as you dropped your hand on the table, face up.
Carefully, he placed his hand in yours, and an unfamiliar and worried look remained on his face as you smile at your hands together. Your thumb stroked the back of his hand and, again, you spoke in a voice that was just above a whisper, “We can try again,” you offered as your eyes drifted up his body to his face. “And take it slow. See where it takes us.”
Spencer smiled softly, and shook his head. “After all I’ve done, you would still be with me?” He asked incredulously, and you simply held a blissful smile on your lips.
“Of course,” you laughed, squeezing his hand lightly, “Spencer, I never stopped loving you. There has not been a day where my love has even faltered in the slightest bit.” You admitted as you let go of his hand and stood, walking around to his side of the table. Spencer stumbled to his feet quickly and stood in front of you. “No matter what happened, what will happen, or what is happening right now, I will love you, and it is foolish of you to think otherwise.” You told him softly as you took both of his hands in yours.
“I don’t deserve you,” Spencer murmured as he pulled you into a hug, wrapping his arms tight around you as you laughed lightly.
After a few moments, you replied quietly, with humor in your voice, “I know,” and pulled away as you glanced at the clock. It was nearing. “Now, get out of my house. We both have work in the morning.”
Spencer laughed at your words, but nodded, as you followed him to the door. You held it open as he stepped onto the porch, and as you opened your mouth to bid him goodbye, his arms wrapped around you again and his lips enveloped yours in a feverish, but passionate kiss you were not ready for. You smiled against his warm lips, which tasted of the tea you made him, and in that moment, you never felt more blissful.
After a moment, you pulled away, a crooked and euphoric smile on your lips, and you began to giggle. “So much for taking it slow.” You laughed again and pushed Spencer from the door frame. “Go. You aren’t staying here. Not tonight.”
Spencer laughed as well, his face red and his breath shallow. You knew he was embarrassed, but you had never seen him as happy as he was now, and it made all your heartache the last two years worth it. “I love you.” Spencer told you solidly, and gave you one final smile.
“And I, you.” You replied, giving him a final wave, and you closed the door.
The second the door clicked into place, you let out a blissful breath as you leaned your back to the door, looking up at the ceiling and saying thank you to whatever celestial being was up there that sent Spencer to you.
Little did you know, on the other side of the door, Spencer was doing the same exact thing.
