Uh-oh, Jake was fired for publishing a paper about magic gnomes. Jake sad 😞

“Ohh, this is hecking bad!”

“Yes, Brent, real hecking bad. Let us facepalm simultaneously.”

After a while, Jake went to give himself the most adorable pep talk I’ve ever seen. Looks like it helped.

Before I knew it, he was back to taking selfies for Simstagram and working on his garden / tending bees in his underwear... An eccentricity of his that I don’t question anymore. He eventually worked his way back up his career path, too.

The next contestant for the First Impressions meeting is Jake! Jake complimented AJ, and not really sure what was going on, but AJ did give a positive response to his compliment. When Jake flirted with AJ, AJ flirted back, which again was a positive response, so Jake also receives another 50 points to his total point score towards elimination night.

Cory arrives next and it seems as those these two hit it off very well. Cory Complimented AJ and he was very positive, so 25 points there and when Cory flirted with AJ he almost immediately flirted right back. So Cory also gets another 50 points towards his point totals.

LOL, Jake *is* a Goofball, so there’s no telling. Probably made a silly face. But DAMN he looks dapper in that tux! Looks nice with AJ.

LUCAS- “These men… whew I am getting hot boys, Talk about Wood ward!! Yes, just  a little bit for sure. If this guy doesn’t do it for you, nothing is going to. Rugged, handsome and delectable. Those are just three adjectives I can think of that describe him! And after seeing him in action the other night After Hours…Okay questions.

LUCAS- “Jake, If I can contain myself long enough, I have three questions here supplied by one of the the other contestants and randomly chosen for you to answer, so let’s get right to it, shall we? Question one is; What is the perfect place for a first date?”

JAKE- “I have a favorite café. It’s actually owned by a buddy of mine. Great quiet atmosphere, they play a mélange of soft music, and he’s got the place FULL of fascinating decoration and artworks. It’s perfect for dates, because, there’s always something to comment on. I love how; sometimes the person I’m meeting will see a piece that sparks a memory, or really anything they’re passionate about, and they light up. And they just start sharing this story with me, completely engaged and in the moment. It’s a beautiful thing… To witness a person totally swept up in talking about something they love.” “…Also, when the weather is nice, our stroll from the café to my place is just breathtaking.”

LUCAS- “Yes, I can realte, as I am totally engaged right now on a beautiful thing.. Oh, okay Question number 2; Say 3 things you hate about yourself”

JAKE- “Well, “hate” is a very powerful word… 1. Okay, I hate that at times, while I’m trying to help, I get so damn confident that I’m right about how to “fix it”, I’m determined to see it through, and end up making things worse… because I became completely tone-deaf to changing circumstances, and plowed on ahead, instead of listening to the input of others. 2. My penchant for lust, and how much of a thrill I get from “The hunt”, abusing my charisma and good fortunes for the sake of passion and gratification. I think I have tamed it, over time. But sometimes… I wonder if I truly have. 3. I hate that sometimes, I don’t take things seriously enough. I generally like to keep the mood light, and I can find humor in absolutely anything. So, sometimes I don’t recognize when I really need to listen, and take in the full gravity of the situation.

LUCAS- “Not only are you a great hunter, I gather, but you have a way with words, Jake! You would not need to hunt me long, Okay the last question before I can not contain myself any longer. You prefer a party night or an afternoon watching film wrapped in the covers?

JAKE - “Definitely an afternoon under the covers. We may have to re-watch the film, though. Catch the parts we got distracted during.”

LUCAS- “I am sure I will be distracted throughout most, if not all the film, trust me!! Thanks for your time, and thanks Simdulgence for making this man even hotter, if that is a possibility! You can vote for Jake in a few more days to have him stay, PLEASE!

This is the first time I’ve participated in a community challenge, and I’m absolutely in love with the sim I created for it.

Without further ado:

Name: Jake Woodward

Age: 38

Birthday: November 15th (Scorpio)

Nickname: Woody

Hometown: Evergreen Harbor

Traits: self-assured, playful, loves the outdoors

Career: Botanist

Top skills: logic, gardening, handiness, charisma, parenting, persuasion

Short Bio: The first thing one might notice upon meeting Jake, is a sturdy confidence in his own abilities. The second, may be one’s own surprise that his confidence does not equal arrogance. Instead, one will come to know a grounded rock of a man, with wisdom in his eyes, who possesses an unquenchable thirst to create, nurture, and repair the world around him.

Be it his plants, woodworking, a broken sink, or family in need, Jake is there to see them through. Being the first born of three brothers to help raise, likely contributed greatly to these traits... As well as a sense of good old mischief. He is a natural at teaching, be it life lessons, or the best soap to prank a fountain with.

Of course, as a lover, Jake’s confidence and creativity meld delightfully with his open mind and sense of adventure. In fact, those same attributes are what lead him to participate in this challenge.

Today, Jake finds himself five years past the end of a nine year committed relationship. RANT:

*Platforms and Roofs*

Who else would REALLY find it useful to have the ability to choose if we want a roofing piece to sit *on top* of a platform, rather than intersecting it? I’m thinking for stuff like the tower roof on the Psycho/Bates motel house. I miss the things I could do in TS2 with “constrainfloorelevation false” you know?? Not to mention having more than 4 floors to work with for towers and mansard roofs.

Basically, I want to use the platform tool to create a “spacer level” between the top floor, and the roof. Because that workaround of inching a roofing piece over from atop an elevated room, only to have your painstaking work delete itself because you forgot and added a wall somewhere in the house, is REALLY not ok.
