I’m re-reading the first Harry Potter book right now and I came across this little paragraph on the first chapter:

And it hit me so hard when I realized that Petunia had no idea about what happened to Lily when Vernon asked if she had heard anything from her sister.

And even though we all know what Petunia thought about Lily, she was still her sister she did not know was already dead.
