Around those she knows and is close to, she can appear to be very childlike and bubbly as well as very curious. Though she also can be very naive and thus easily tricked.

Personality/Biography: Chise was an only child in a loved family, but she was a rare type of human, known as a Slay Vega. From birth, she was able to see things that normal humans could not. Her body continuously absorbed magic though the strain on her body would eventually give her an early death. However, while things were happy for a time, eventually her father left, leaving Chise to be raised by her mother. But even that would come to an end, as the woman passed away a few years later. From there, Chise was bounced around, taken in by family members who didn’t really want to, due to how strange she was. 

Eventually, when she had grown weary with her life and tired of her situation, she encountered a man who convinced her to sell herself at a magical auction, where she would go to someone who desired a Slay Vega. Against all odds, she was purchased by a strange figure, calling himself Elias. As a sorcerer, he decided that Chise was going to become his apprentice. Slowly, Chise adjusted and began to change, finally grateful for the turn her life had taken. 

After an incident in a cemetary, Chise gained her own familiar–a big black dog capable of taking on a human form–which she called Ruth. She was also given a ring by a magic jewelsmith that would regulate her absorption of magic and allow her to live normally, as long as she was careful. A while after that, she spent some time with Elias’s old friend, and gained her own magic staff. 

But none of it would have happened if she hadn’t met Elias and he hadn’t brought her to Eiyu Academy.

Personality:

Hanzo had always been primarily one thing growing up: dutiful. This aspect of him has decreased somewhat ever since his duty required him to kill the younger brother he loved so much, though it’s by no means gone away entirely. Still, the death of Genji has left a hole gaping in his heart, and pushed him to abandon the Shimada clan and, with it, his old ideals. Where he once held his father’s clan in high esteem, he now holds it in disdain, his hope and optimism for the clan lost and drowned out by a new, more gloomy outlook, and views those with high hopes to be foolish.

Every year, he sneaks into the clan’s temple in order to honor his brother, whom he used to love so dearly, for as wayward as he could be in the eyes of the clan elders. Fending off the guards and assassins might be a daunting task for most, but for Hanzo, who excels at the arts of battle, and who relishes the adrenaline rush from a good fight, it’s a simple feat… and a necessity for him. Although he still stands by the death of his brother as a brutal necessity he had to do in the past, it also weighs on him, a massive burden that he now seeks to alleviate. He seeks redemption for what he’s done, though that redemption still remains a far, harrowing ways off and, indeed, may never come to a man who cannot forgive himself for his dishonourable deeds of the past. Still, he doggedly continues his search for honour, redemption… self-worth.

Biography:

The Shimada Clan was a vast, criminal empire established centuries ago, based in Hanamura, Japan, that specialised in assassination and trading arms and illegal substances. As the eldest son, Hanzo was duty-bound to one day succeed his father and take charge of the empire by tradition. From a young age, he had training and lessons for this eventuality instilled in him. For his own part, Hanzo excelled at leadership, showed an intricate understanding of strategy, and excelled even at bowmanship, swordplay, and martial arts, making him the perfect future successor.

Following his father’s demise, Hanzo stepped up as the new Shimada Clan leader as was his duty. However, once this happened, the clan elders, seeing a new opportunity, ordered Hanzo to straighten out his younger brother, Genji. Genji had always been seen as something of a liability within the clan, given his more carefree attitude, but he’d always been protected by his now-late father. Hanzo accepted the task handed to him and tried his appeal for Genji to be more active in the clan. Yet, he stubbornly refused, and the tension built to a violent peak in which Hanzo was forced to slay his brother.

Hanzo, broken-hearted after such a revolting act, rejected his father’s legacy afterwards and turned his back on the clan. The clan branded him a traitor and sent their assassins after him time and again. However, Hanzo had been raised to be one of the best in his clan, and had no problem deflecting their attacks and slaying them first.

Now, ten years later, Hanzo travels the world, honing his warrior skills and seeking honour and redemption for his vile actions in the past. These travels brought him to the mysterious school of Eiyu. Though he considered continuing on his way and leaving the place alone, he finally concluded that perhaps he could find something worthwhile here.

Personality/Biography: Genji Shimada was once a young man full of charm. He was a cheerful playboy, who had little regard for the world around him. Despite being skilled student studying the sword, he was not very interested in following in his family’s footsteps. This caused great tension between him and his older brother, Hanzo. Their views greatly differed, as Hanzo wished to lead their empire alongside his brother, while Genji simply wanted no part in it. Unable to force his will onto his younger brother, the two got into a violet fight that left Genji fatally wounded. Despite the elder of two believing that his brother was dead, he was alive, if only a little. He was saved by the organization called Overwatch, who rescued him and used their technology to transform him into a cyborg. He became a living weapon and joined their forces, although he was still filled with feelings hate and resentment. He hated what he had been turned into and longed to return to who he once was, even being repulsed by the fact that he was no longer fully human.

After finishing his activities in Overwatch, he traveled the world and eventually came across an omnic monk named Zenyatta.. With his help, he was finally able to accept who he had become. He was neither fully human or machine. He was both, and could be at peace with that fact. He finally made the decision to settle for awhile by working at a school called Eiyu Academy.

Personality/Biography: Jamison hasn’t exactly had the richest of backgrounds. He grew up in Junkertown, Australia, a place ravaged by the omnic crisis in which the robotic omnics rebelled against the humans 5 years prior. In an attempt to establish peaceful relations with the omnics, they were given land in the outback to reside peacefully. The action displaced many of the human residents and displeased them greatly. They formed the Australian Liberation Front, an insurrectionist group. The leaders sabotaged the core of the omnium, causing it to detonate and irradiate a vast distance, spreading metal scraps and chunks across the outback. Having grown up in an irradiated wasteland filled with gangs and otherwise unsavory characters, Junkrat has a distaste and distrust for omnics. However, he also learned to tinker with explosives and even craft his own weapons (maybe even his own prosthetic limbs.) The radiation has definitely had an effect on his brain, turning him perhaps a bit insane and obsessed with explosives. As a scavenger with the survivors of the explosion (known as the Junkers, a cutthroat society), Junkrat managed to uncover an extremely valuable secret in the wreckage of the omnium. Because of this, he has been pursued by many different people looking to take his riches or otherwise kill him. After a long time on the run, committing heists and arson along the way with his bodyguard, Junkrat heard about a rather strange and secretive academy. So why not sign up? He could find protection and if his suspicions about the school’s secrecy are correct (spoiler: they’re not), then he could also find something valuable to make off with. Sounds like a situation tipped heavily in his favor and it’s a perfect day for some mayhem.
