This is the neutral lighting version which enables a better view of the clownfish model.
Some leftover Test render image clips
Slimes are good and I love them
This little guy is so cute. I love the stretch animation as the moving animation
Eva (2011)
The lighting in the animations from this GIF set is phenomenal, it reminds me off water droplets clinging to spiderwebs.
Pumpkin Man - 201031
A cool little animation in the spirit of Halloween.
I like how it almost feels like the camera is shaking as if it is handheld when really it is the pumpkins and figure which are shaky.
How to Create Fake Caustics using Arnold for Maya
Different style of rendering caustics that possibly may not lag my computer as much?
Render Clip: Underwater Caustics test.
As much as I think it is a cool effect my poor laptop cannot handle the amount of computer power this requires. It has become very lagged out and won’t play the animation properly.
Also it is more blue than I would like my animation to be.
Nonetheless fun to play around with
Creating underwater caustics in Maya 2017.
Saving for me to come back to once I’ve rendered the fishes animation flow path and surrounding environment.
Clown Fish model updates. Now it has been textured I am extremely happy with how the model looks (I think its adorable).
I especially like the artsy, stylised effect the hand draw texture gives the fish. It gives the character a higher sense of warmth.
ClownFish completed UV layout.
I did this using photoshop and found out later you can paint directly into maya (I think this turned out better than that would have though.)
Errors - 201010
vERY cool concept.
Fish UV Mapping Fastest and Easiest : Maya 2018 Tutorial
Tutorial I used to get a better idea of how to do the fish UV layout in regards to how to do the fins.
Clownfish Model update.
This my model at its final stage before I begin working on its UV layout and texture mapping. There is no point making it any more detailed than this yet though there will inevitably be further edits to the model itself once textures are applied.
Finding Nemo (2003) dir. Andrew Stanton, Lee Unkrich
I can’t animate a clown fish without posting at least one reference to Finding Nemo :)
This reminds me of old flash animations. The collage style and sense of jerkiness enhances the unsettling effects of these surreal images creating a uniquely grotesque and unsettling atmosphere.
Night Light - Animated Short Film
I remember finding this short film years ago and finding it simple yet beautiful. The story is short and sweet. The colour palette is well thought, the contrast between warm yellow/red tones and cool blues/purples adds a defined sense of lighting aiding in a defined sense of mood and ambience. (The fish designs are also very cute).
