April 16th, Project Semicolon Day: A semicolon is used when an author could’ve ended a sentence but chose not to. You are the author and the sentence is your life.

The most beautiful people I know/ have met have suffered immensely. They are strong and courageous people who are fighting every single day. I’ve lost people I love, and people close to those I love, to (essentially) depression. Yes it is sad, but it must be said… it is NOT their fault, and they were NOT weak. They did NOT receive the proper care and help they needed, because of the SHAME and STIGMA that STILL surrounds mental illnesses.

So spread the word, and help abolish the stigma. @projectsemicolon
