Highly recommend Peculiar Soul by TMarkos!

I have to say, I have a strong love for interesting and well-thought magic systems and this is just that.

Granted it’s less ‘magic-y’ and more ‘power-system-y’ but it is still rad as hell!

Here is the description on RR:

RR recommendations #2

I highly recommend Tori Transmigrated by Alia Aurie!

The storytelling is fuckin fantastic and the characters are interesting! The magic is pretty great too and the author gets very detailed into the descriptions of the main characters experiments, making them easy to follow and understand.

The main character is great and I love her! She reacts in a believable manner and is genuinely likable, not even mentioning the Aromantic representation!

Here is the description on RR:

The last thing 40-year-old project manager Tori Felix remembered was scrolling through a wiki article about a dating sim game franchise while on the shinkansen. Then she was hurled forward to the sound of metal creaking, the smell of smoke, and was knocked out.

When Tori woke, she was in a lavish four poster bed with a splitting headache and in the bruised teenage body of a Marquis' arrogant daughter from the popular dating sim "The Romance of Soleil".

Problem #1: There is a possibility she's dead in her world. This meant she couldn't meet up with her friends. Also, her tickets to Universal Studios were useless now.

Problem #2: This body may be young, but weaker than her original. And where were her boobs?

Lastly, Problem #3: She now inhabited the body of Victoria de Guevera; the villainess of "The Romance of Soleil" whose final ending, according to the wiki article, was a violent death at the hands of sex slavers.

With just a few weeks before the heroine and the villainess collide, there is no time for an existential crisis. Tori took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and whispered her personal mantra:

"Assess the situation, then make a plan of action. You don't want to die like a b-tch."

Just posted the first chapter to my book: The Assassin and The Archivist on RR.

The updates aren’t scheduled or regular, but I’ll post whenever I finish a chapter.

If anyone has any writing suggestions, please give me them! I am not an experienced writer, quite the opposite, in fact. Any tips are appreciated.

RR recommendation #1

One RR book I’d recommend is Paranoid Mage by InadvisablyCompelled.

I really like ✨Magic Realism✨ and Paranoid Mage is exactly that. Science and magic go together so well and the way the writer meshed them together in this book is fantastic!

The main character uses spacial magic and the author does a great job explaining and detailing the characters exploration into their magic and what spacial magic could possibly do in their universe.

Here is the description of Paranoid Mage on RR:

Callum had seen things all his life. There are monsters and beasts living among people, but he learned very early not to admit such things, not if he didn’t want people to think him crazy.

It turns out that the supernatural is real, but at thirty Callum has no desire to be part of that secret. Not that he has a choice when it turns out he is a mage, albeit one that hasn’t cast any spells in all his life. There are requirements, duties, and education that the powers that be insist he be subject to.

To hell with that.

I’m going to add some recommendations of Royal Road stories I really like on here. Obviously taste is subjective and what you may like is different from what I like, so be aware.

I’ve recently picked up writing as a hobby. I’ve never really wrote before so it’s been real interesting, to say the least. I’m really only doing it for fun, I call it a ‘hobby’ for a reason. I’ve have a D&D campaign that I run for me and a couple friends, I think that was one of the reasons I picked up writing.

I’ve got two big docs: one for notes and the other is the manuscript draft. I really like the main character, but I can tell that my storytelling is subpar. That’s not gonna stop me though, I’ll just keep going until I’m not having fun anymore.
