As this is a secondary blog and has proven to be remarkably difficult, I have decided to move my rp to another, separate email. Nothing has changed except for the fact that perhaps things will be more organised. I hope all my followers will forgive me the enormous inconvenience and consent to continue to follow me, except on this new tumblr. 

The blog is empty right now, but I'll amend that and things will get back to normal. No, things will be better then normal because I will start to rattle out replies and starters quicker then before. Thank you so much for your patience, you guys have been absolutely fantastic and I really don't deserve it.

I welcome new followers as well! I am very excited because I hope this will make things much easier for us to rp without you being utterly bewildered when I follow you.

Hello everyone! I know I’ve posted this quite a few times before, but I feel I ought to keep doing so in order to avoid any confusion. My roleplay blog is a secondary blog, so I cannot follow anyone on it. If you do get followed by me, and you’re a rp blog, then this is the explanation.

The Duke of Wellington has passed away.

For a moment she gazes at the grey face in silence. The ornate clock on the mantle ticks away, the only sound in the drawing room. She searches the unfeeling face for something that would prove this was all some misunderstanding, that it wasn’t so, but found there was nothing there. 

"When? how?" 

Her voice was weak as she vainly sought for some explanation. The truth was, the words had yet to truly mean something to her. She could not quite believe this was happening. She paced away from the messenger and wrapped her arms around her body as he explained what had happened. As the situation grew more clear, her hopes began to fall and as the explanation went on, she began to shake her head in denial. 

"But Napoleon is defeated. The war is over. He cannot be gone. That isn’t possible." 

She turned away and moved to the window, and though she could not see anything from where she was in Brussels, she could hear. The sounds of the cannons had stopped hours ago, and the army was on the march home. It had been a victory. 

"leave." 

Her hands and forehead pressed against the panes of the glass as her body began to shake. She heard the final apologies as the messenger shut the door behind him, but paid them little heed. Tears pricked at the corner of her eyes but she grit her teeth against the rising panic. Her eyes strained to catch some sight of a returning army but found nothing. 

"You gave me your word. Don’t do this to me. Don’t leave me now." 

An idea struck her and she turned away from the glass, hurrying over to the door and yanking it open. She called for a servant, her voice leaving no room for argument and she was quickly attended to. 

"Ready my horse. Now. I will be down momentarily.""My-""Now."

She would ride to Waterloo herself and confirm the truth of this.

The Walls of the Castle Cast Long Shadows II Lady Kaitlyn and Miss Elizabeth

Kaitlyn groaned in frustration for the second time as her carriage shook after hitting another bump on the road. She opened her book to a certain page where she had stopped earlier as the road gradually smoothed.

She was all alone there in the carriage as she just came from a visit. Her dear cousin had a small party earlier just for the purpose of fun. Plus a little business to discuss with Kaitlyn, of course. And right now, she was on her way home as her curfew time was about to dawn. But why would it matter now? What importance did it hold for someone like her?

Kaitlyn sighed as she turned to the next page. Oh, how lonely it was to be solo the whole long trip back to her home. How she dearly wished she had someone with her right now for whatever reason but for her, it would be one of a little chit-chat. Her eyes scanned the page before she snapped the hardbound closed as her boredom continued to aggravate her.

Sighing, she looked out the window to see fluffy white clouds fly by with the blazing sun in the horizon. And that was when she felt a falling sensation only to realize that the carriage had stopped. And what more, it felt wrongly positioned in a different angle. She whipped her head back at the window at the sound of a knock. The door was opened by her driver who had a worried look painted on his face. “My lady, I’m afraid one of the back wheels was damaged by a stick. I think it would be best for you to breathe some fresh air while I fix it.” he said.

Kaitlyn took a few seconds to fully register the words. She was shocked and dismayed. Groaning, she tore at her curls in rage before storming out of the carriage with her parasol. She stood under a tree’s shade as she watched her poor driver fix the damage. It seemed that she would be staying there for a while, maybe even an hour. If there was only someone she could talk to…

The sun was setting as she strolled down the road from Merchants Quay and though she should not being drawing further attention to herself, she couldn't help but sing quietly to herself. The day was marvelous; warm, sunny with a fresh breeze. She was in a fine mood. The Vicereine had bestowed upon her a high compliment...and it was quite likely that Captain Wellesley would be there. The faintest pink touched her cheeks as she thought of the clever young man who had so captured her attentions. 

So distracted as she was, she nearly passed the broken carriage by without a thought. It was the distress of the young woman that in the end caught Elizabeth's attention and she paused in her stride. Her eyes took in the scene and quickly discovered the problem and it was not something with which she could help. Still, the young woman was quite distressed and how could she simply pass by? Her blue eyes turned back to the road and a sigh escaped her lips. If she paused now, it could be an hour before she was on her way again and she'd most certainly be late. The vicereine would not be pleased and...Miss Pakenham would certainly have captured the Captains attentions. Her gaze returned to the pretty young woman who looked so lonely and frustrated. 

"Good evening, Miss. Forgive me, I can't help but notice that you seem to be having some trouble...It may take some time for the gentleman to replace the wheel and get the carriage back in order. I could perhaps show you into town and you can stay some place warm and light while they fix it?" 

She smiled sweetly at the young woman. She simply could not abandon her, even if it would cause her trouble later.

Ares couldn’t hide the disbelieving look from his features as he listened to her speak. Hadn’t he just been thinking how self-interested mortals had become? Yet when presented with the equivalent of three wishes, she had turned him down for some sort of moral standing. That thought was enough to make him laugh. “I respect your values, but I would be lying if I said it was a smart choice" Ares said, moving about the room casually. He let a silence fill the air as he glanced at the various objects that sit on the tables and desks. “For example; what if what you desired was the god of war backing your nation in all wars? Certainly that is something even I can give you" a devilish smirk crossed his features as Ares knew he had laid out the perfect bait. A near irrefutable offer in his mind.

"What way? Personal use mostly. Perhaps some intimidation here and there and naturally, when the hunger hits, wage war" Ares explained as if it were the most simple answer that one could ever find.

If he were to compromise he was determined to do so on his own terms. Unfortunately for the god he was up against an equally determined and strong minded negotiator.

Elizabeth's office was a little different from that of her husbands. It had just as many bookshelves as that of the Duke, and from all over the world. It had a little fire place with a portrait of her family hanging over it, as well as an alcove with an arched window. Her desk stood in the middle of the room; a piece of oak taken from the HMS Indefatigable after it was broken up in 1816. The wood had been carved and shaped so that it was now a work of art. It was a piece of her father's favorite ship, it had been a home to them all and the happiest time in her father's life. Now, it provided strength to her as she faced the God of War. She took a moment to gather her thoughts as he examined little odds and ends about the room. 

A heavy sigh escaped her lips at his words and she was glad he stood behind her then, so he could not see her apprehension. She ran a shaky hand over her blue skirts, and bowed her head. How delightful that sounded...England's success eternally ensured. How could she say no to such a deal? she nibbled on her lip and turned then to look at the God. Why was it even a debate? she had to say yes, did she not want England to always be victorious? 

"Such an offer depends on me, somehow, providing you with a navy that you can use however you wish, no strings attached."

She clung to that one piece even as her hands pressed against the oak of her desk. The decisions made here could easily ruin her country as it could do much for it's benefit. It was a responsibility that  was truly unexpected and unasked for. She was overwhelmed and it was becoming clear, though she held her ground. 

"I still cannot do that. I cannot give you a navy without knowing your exact purpose, my lord. This isn't war time, I cannot empty a jail into a ship and send it off with you...and you're not asking for a ship, you're asking for a squadron. It would not only be immoral to send men off without knowing what they are giving their lives for, but it would be a financial disaster. You are the God of War, my lord, you are not the God of Gold." 

It was her turn to let the silence stretch on now. She straightened, her skirts rustling as she did so, and took another sip of her tea. The God was not likely to be very patient for much longer and she could not keep refusing him without offering something in return.

"Perhaps it could be a joint venture, my lord? what if what you desire, was also something England desired? then England would be happy to serve you."
