Tried watching a season live for the first time with s7 and that didn't go so well, now I'm trying out following s8 only through Tumblr and that isn't quite right either. I don't know if it's that s7 and s8 are subpar or that I'm not bingeing them in total all-encompassing solitude.

What was the tag and vibe like during s3 and s5 (the most liked seasons, as far as I can tell)? Was it a better experience? It's sad to see how tired both the show and fandom have become. Wanted better for us

Kind of wish this season had been about Constantin. If you look at the story itself, 90% of what happened wasn't really something that needed Isi in particular at the forefront (actually Isi might have even been better (by that i mean even more entertaining/interesting (and without kind of seeming like a different character) (because this is a show after all, yes casual representation is needed and yes being nb and Turkish in Germany is only a tiny part of someone's identity and doesn't define every aspect of their life, but Druck does have a platform which they could use to uplift the less familiar sides of minorities' lives — amira's season did a good job of this imo, as did fatou's) (but i digress)) as a supporting character in this story).

The other 10% of it was the gender plot, half of which required significant character regression based on what had already been established about Isi, and the other half was the discrimination Isi faced from others, which could have easily been shown in a Constantin season because he is (was) with Isi pretty much all the time. I was really looking forward to an Isi season because Isi was always so iconic and intriguing in previous seasons, and while as a fan I'm still glad we got all this content, I do wonder if this season would have been better used for wrapping up Consti's arc and setting up something really compelling and substantial about Isi for season 8 (and then we could end the series/generation with Ava season 9🥳)

fr imagine a consti season where he makes actual amends with everyone, gets help from his friends who can sympathise with his situation like nora who can lead him to therapy and lou who he can bond with, would have made more sense for progressing the established plot in my opinion, i mean of all characters consti's issues really put both the pressure in druck and the shame in skam

Rewatching Druck, halfway through season three, and so far it's been the same short episodes (rarely longer than 20min), experimental filming/directing style (especially in Mia's season, but David's sax cutaways deserve an honourable mention), cringey dialogue ('girl you slay!'), subtle acting (our king of microexpressions Michelangelo Fortuzzi), grey characters who stay grey, and rushed plotlines (e.g. Kiki warmly and completely forgiving Mia in thirty seconds), but somehow it just...works? I don't understand what the difference is. Maybe later I'll binge s7 alone and everything will suddenly fall into place. As for now I like s7 as its own thing, but somehow not as Druck, whatever that means

People genuinely hating everything about this season especially the main, and with 2 episodes left are still watching… I don’t understand… why watch something that is clearly making a lot of y’all so upset, angry and miserable.

This post has made me once again impressed by how immersive s7 is👏🏽🤯 I can't tell if I'm fully delusional at this point (spoiler: i am🥴) but I'm just going to go with it because wow Druck really pulled a SkamEs s3 (and Midsommar?😅) and put us in the toxic relationship. I mean, look at me and the rest of us who are just poking around in the ashes of this dysfunctional season looking for what morsels we can salvage — that's the same way Isi and the Instas had been poking around in the ashes of their dysfunctional friendship, sticking around for the FOMO, trying to connect dots and rationalize behaviour just to feel something. Amazing. Love it. A true study of human nature. To think like an Isi, you must first become an Isi. The writers DID have a plan all along!!

I hope Druck really does get a season 8 just so I can come here again and hear from you all.
