Oh, you can best believe it my friend. Six more weeks sounds like nothing when you really think about it. It will go by faster than we all think. I’m assuming you got matched? How are you dealing with it?

Yeah I don’t know if I am happy  or sad when it comes to not getting a letter, but I am glad we have more time to discuss things. I mean I am okay, I can’t just be stressed about it, I can’t let it get to me. So I am focusing on the Carnival for the kids. What about you?

I know how you feel. That sounds like a good idea, to be focusing on other things right now. I forgot the carnival was coming up soon. How is that going so far? I’m doing good, you know how it is. Working hard and trying to stay out of my father’s sight.

I’ve had better days myself, but I’m not one to complain. Trying to get used to living in Lima again is going to take more than a few weeks. How about you?

Well, I for one am glad that we have a little more time to discuss our lives and what has gone on, without have to thinking about one of us having to get married thrown into the mix. How are you doing with the whole lottery picking?

I think most people tend to forget that there are no guarantees when it comes to any type of surgery. There’s an even bigger risk whenever you’re adding in not entirely necessary procedures. What kind of medicine do you practice? I actually chose this field because I was hoping that I’d get to spend most of time helping people who actually deserve it, that’s just extremely limited. So nothing exciting has happened?

You’re absolutely right. I’m a cardiothoracic and trauma surgeon, so I don’t really do non-necessary procedures. Though, I have had patients come back from being in the emergency room saying that they didn’t want to have surgery when it was needed to save their lives. They were unconscious and a decision needed to be made, so we took them to surgery. We can both guess how that case turned out in court. Trust me, you’ll have your good and your bad days, but when you have your good days helping people they’ll always out-weight the bad ones. 

Nothing exciting yet, though I’ve only been back in Lima for a few weeks now and after traveling all over the world getting to help people, there’s a lot to be said for coming back to a small town.

I’m a surgeon and thankfully, I wasn’t presented with a letter. I don’t think easier is the right word, but it does take a little bit of the stress of my shoulders while trying to work some things out.

Man, you aren’t the only one. I’m stressing enough over work and now I have to think about this in the back of my mind.

I spent all day listening to a woman scream about her plastic surgery going wrong and how she needs help suing the doctor that ‘ruined her face’ for everything that he’s worth. I do feel bad for her, but sometimes I question my decision to go into the field of becoming a medical lawyer when 90% of my cases involve something like this. Is anyone else having as great of a week as I am? At least I can count on everyone being too distracted by other things happening to worrying about wanting to sue anyone soon.

Sounds about right coming from someone who has been brought to court from a former patient before. They will try to get you when something doesn’t go the way, they thought it was going to go. I will tell you though, I have friends who are medical lawyers and the days aren’t always bad. Plus, you can always represent doctors as well. My week has gone pretty well, but I’m not going to jinx it.

Yeah, it has been awhile hasn’t it? Sorry, I couldn’t make it to your last show. I wanted to be there but an emergency surgery came up. I’m doing well, you know trying to fit back into the Lima lifestyle has been a little hard after traveling around the world, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out eventually. How are you?

Well, to be fair, I think Grindr is only a dating app in theory. I see your point, but that begs the question of why he didn’t delete the app immediately - and, well, that’s a spiral of questions I refuse to go down.

You probably know more about it than I would. That’s a good question, since he probably would’ve seen much more than he wanted to once he opened the app to begin with. Parents leave us with a lot of questions, that well sometimes we want unanswered.

In light of my admittedly low expectations of this dullard town, you can imagine my surprise when I opened up Grindr to find a handsome young lieutenant standing there. Unfortunately, that’s when it went downhill very fast. Old photo? A bit weird. Kind of resembles Hunter? More weird. Resembles our father? A lot more weird. 

Apparently James overheard some of the summer interns talking about Grindr and he made an account because — and to be clear, these are his words — he’s getting old and wants to stay hip with the kids…. I don’t think he realizes what he’s signed up for, or how gut-wrenchingly terrifying it is for a son to stumble on his father’s profile. Needless to say, I’m going to need a lot of vodka.

I’m not even sure how to react. Not that I’m a big fan of dating apps, but I think I would have to do some serious damage control if I saw my mother on one. I’m sorry, you had to be a witness to that. On the other hand, you’d think he know as soon as he made an account what it was actually for it.

Well, look who it is! Of course not, you’re back in Lima where everybody thinks it’s still twenty years ago and nothing has changed even a little bit. Though, I’m a little confused about why someone called you a hobbit.
