IN PROGRESS: I’m actively working on improving this list but I wanted to post at least what I had for reference! This will eventually also have any drabbles or fics that I have written for each OC as well. But for now...

hate when people only think of gothic architecture as dark and scary and gloomy it’s literally not!!!
A good tip to remember!
You know technology literacy is dying because I saw this meme with 76k likes
F11 the full screen button? You’re scared of the full screen button? F10?? It opens the menu bar???
Computers are so scary what if I accidentally hit F12 in a steam game and it takes a screenshot. What if I press shift + F12 while in word and accidentally save my document 😖
If you had to learn what the F keys on your computer do through me reblogging this post, then I'm glad you did. Computer literacy is not a skill that gets taught anymore, and it is absolutely one that needs to be taught in order to be learned. Don't ever feel bad for not knowing something, but ☝️ don't ever stop learning learning about your environment, the tools you use, and especially the people around you
Never stop learning+ Never stop sharing what you learned
«Morning in Lichtenbusch»
Acrylic on linen, 100 × 80 cm
2018
This painting is from 2018 and is one of the very first works I created after a long break from painting
At that time I was only beginning to experiment with heavy gel mediums. If you look closely, you’ll notice that I used texture only on the trees and the leaves in the foreground. Back then, I was still discovering what this material could do.
The painting is based on a place I loved deeply. Every morning, while my little son was still asleep, I would wake up at five or six, take my dog for a walk, and watch the sunrise.
Those mornings were magical.
The ground was still dark, while the sky slowly filled with light and color. I loved walking along this little lane, with fields stretching out on both sides, horses grazing quietly, and birds singing all around. It was peaceful in a way that’s hard to describe.
Today, that place looks completely different.
The lane is gone. A new road has been built, along with a new school where my children will start this September. Most of the fields have disappeared, and only a small area remains for the horses. The village has grown, new streets have appeared, traffic has become much busier, and the quiet atmosphere that inspired this painting has faded away.
When I painted this, Lichtenbusch had only around forty houses and just a few families with children. It truly felt like a small countryside village.
I’m grateful I painted these mornings. Sometimes a painting becomes more than a landscape, it becomes a memory of a place that no longer exists.

It's the Royal Academy of Art Young Artist's Summer Show. One of my favourite exhibitions of the year. Like. Not only are the older kids insanely talented, the younger ones' artist statements will just punch you right in the face.

The Ojibwe nailed it. Wawa is exactly the right name for a goose.
Speaking of Ojibwe! There’s a new point and click game to help teach the language! It’s called Reclaim! Azhe-giiwewining, and is currently on sale on Steam!

you have permission to pick that 2 year old "abandoned" project back up. it's not mad at you for setting it aside. and maybe time and distance have helped ease or erase the things that made you put it down in the first place.
These days, lots of public libraries have a "library of things" collection where you can check out kitchen appliances or yard tools or toys, and, as a children's library assistant, the most popular library of things item that I handle regularly is a plastic scepter thingy called like "unicorn princess magic wand". And whenever I check it out I make a big show of looking at the little kid and being like "do you solemnly swear to use your unicorn princess magic powers only for good and never for evil?"
And pretty much without fail, the little kid will get the world's most mischievous grin and go "I'm gonna use it for EVIL!!!"
listen it's not that I think epic the musical is a perfect adaption of the odyssey but it was an impressive passion project that knew what it wanted to be and knew what people gravitated to in the original work and it put significant effort into conveying this through its unique medium and tone to the point that hundreds of other people felt compelled to put effort into their own artistic interpretations of that version of the story. and that's really cool! and yes I would be more critical if it was a 100 million dollar project made by a professional because what the fuck do you mean you're a world-famous director and you cut the my name is nobody scene are you goddamn serious
HE CUT ONE OF THE MOST FAMOUS PARTS OF THE ODYSSEY?!?!?!?!?!
The Need to Stay
(Thought I’d upload my recent comics to Tumblr! I totally forgot it only lets you upload 10 pics at a time, and this is 11, but fingers crossed it works!)

been stewing on an analytical approach to fiction which I call "is this book afraid of me?" and in order to answer this question you determine how hard the book is trying to make sure you don't come after the writer on twitter

Please keep making art. Please make it for yourself. Please don’t let everything become even more of the same flat general appeal nonsense that doesn’t seem to have anything to say
I spent way too much time on this ✌
