[ The Pantheon Days ]
It was a frightening thing, to walk among the gods. The very same gods that toiled with mortals lives, one she use to have no so long ago. Psyche had been lucky It had been by the grace of another god, Zeus, that she was alive … I m m o r t a l, now the envied Greek princess was a goddess and one that was still trying to find her place. She was unsure of how the gods would react to this former mortal now walking among them. Psyche carried a flaming torch as she explored unfamiliar halls
Elation. Relief. These and more emotions flooded through Eros when Zeus had agreed to make his beloved immortal. He’d been thanking his grandfather profusely for the day, while still holding a grudge against his mother for almost keeping them apart.
He hadn’t really seen his beloved since she’d been on Olympus, but he suspected she’d be wandering around somewhere. And he was determined to catch up.
Living for eons on Olympus gave Eros the unfair advantage in navigating these halls. Soon enough, he met the eyes of Psyche. Although they had rarely seen their faces, due to unfortunate circumstances, she was still just as beautiful as he remembered. Confidently, he marched into the torchlight and smiled at her.
“I guess the grass does look comfy, though I’d check your pockets. Who knows if anyone robbed you while you were sleeping.”
“Very comfy,” he agreed. “Oh, I never thought I’d say this, but perhaps it was fortunate of me to forget my wallet at home.”
She checked her watch just to be sure before she spoke, “No it’s ok, I just got of work so I have no appointment to keep. Besides, I already know what he looks like and two pairs of eyes are better than one. It is a he, huh?” She tilted her head to the side and slashed him a shy smile, she didn’t want him to feel like she was crowding in.
He looked at her and smiled genuinely, “I really appreciate it. He’s always escaping, so it’s nice not to have to find him myself.” He chuckled. As he began walking and looking around, he nodded at her question, “Yup, he’s a he.”
“Ah - nothing you can do about it. It’s one of the joys of New York living. Interesting experiences on the subway and struggling to get a cab. That and really good food stands. And tourists. Something about it never changing though, that’s rather poetic.”
“True enough. Ah, yeah, New York is the perfect example of the modernized Gilded Age. Seemingly covered in gold and luxury, but on the inside it’s, well, pretty crappy.”
“Oh, I’m pretty sure you didn’t. I’m good at telling if someone lied to me.” After all I am the Goddess of Deceit. “ I’m a fan of your books and when I found out your book was becoming a movie. I was like fuck it. I want this part.” It was the honest truth, Alia was one who always gave credit where it was due.
He laughed and smiled, “Fair enough, I was mostly forthcoming with you.” He nodded and grinned at her answer, “Oh, thank you. I’m glad you did decide to audition.” He thought for another moment before asking, “Assuming that wasn’t a lie, what draws you to my books? It can’t be that interesting reading about my dull love stories.”
“I try to be.” She smiled at him, softly. “Nice to meet you Elliot. I’m Kylie.”
“Nice to meet you as well, Kylie. So, what brings you out here, besides scaring people into thinking there are actual ‘muggers’ around here?”
“At least he’s gotten rid of some energy from running“, Céleste said and offered him a smile. “I could help you look for him if you want?” she offered.
He chuckled and nodded, “I guess you’re right. He can’t get too far now.” He let out a huff of breath and turned to the girl, “That would be great, if you don’t mind.”
“Yeah, I actually did. It was sprinting towards the park lika a lunatic. Was it yours?”
“Unfortunately. This is why I rarely take him out for walks.”

“No that’s perfect actually, formal dinner dates are overrated, I much rather see you in a more relaxed environment”
He nodded, agreeing, “Definitely, and in a formal dinner setting no one’s really going to act like themselves.”
“I actually have my afternoon off tomorrow, is that too soon?”
“Not at all. We can meet at the park, if that sounds good to you.”
“If that floats your boat then ask away.” She said, he wasn’t a shy person. He was charming to say the least, Alia was intrigued. Back when she was Apate, her life was in lived a box – with darkness, all black – only one person knew her the best. Now that she lived a mortal life, she wanted to see all the colors the world have to offer. She wanted to be painted in shadows other than gray, which was why she became an actress. “Though I might lie to you.”
He stayed quiet for a moment, thinking of equally personal questions. He shrugged at her last comment, “Fair enough, I might’ve lied to you as well.” Of course he hadn’t though; he was a terrible liar. Deciding he’d start out with a relatively easy question, he said, “So, what made you want to take this part, anyway?”

He seemed willingly to indulge her curiosity, she smiled. “ A fighter.” she remarked, she would have thought him one of those men who needed the dainty fair princess type girl. “I pegged you for a shy girl kind of guy. I was wrong.”
He shrugged, “Most people seem to think that at first. It’s not really that I’m shy, just definitely not the loudest person in a room.” He leaned back and grinned, “Do I get to ask you intruding questions, now?”
“I thought of was obvious – I want to get to know you. Books are lies one way or another. I simply want to hear it straight from the horse mouth.” She shrugged. “What’s your ideal girl?” She wanted to see how far she could push him for information, everyone had a limit. She wanted to see her bounds with him.
He sighed and rested his head on his hands, leaning forward. Her questions seemed to be getting more and more prying, but he intended to stay on good terms with the actors. “I, uh, well... I guess I like girls who don’t back down. People who fight for what they believe in. Cleverness and intelligence goes a long way as well.”
Alia was a creature of impulse, if she wanted something she would take it. If she felt something she would say it. She nodded at him and took a seat across from him. “Do you want to fall in love” Her lips curled into a Cheshire cat grin, seeming the God of Love fickle and off guard about the very essence of his being was highly entertaining. “Well aren’t you just a hopeless romantic.”
Elliot tilted his head to the side, “Is there a reason you’re so interested in my opinions? I mean, most of them can be determined by just reading my books. But, if you must know... of course I want to fall in love. As soon as I find the right one.” He chuckled slightly at her cliche title use, “I guess you could say that.”
