I am going to miss Poland but I am certainly ready to get back home. We have so much to do before Ellie gets here and I miss our puppies and work.

Jude: Alright. You're very welcome. Class was good. We just had a test and were free to leave after we finished which is why I got out early.

Elliot: That's good, babe. I'm glad you are having a good time at school. I'm so proud of you.

Jude gave him a small smile once he felt the other’s hand on his cheek. He looked back up to his husband as he spoke and nodded a little. “I know you are. And i’m trying to not worry about you so much. But it’s hard because I just want to help but I know there’s really nothing I can do.” Jude told him. He leaned into the kiss, his eyes closing for a moment before looking back to him. “I love you too.”

“I know how you are feeling.... and it’s even worse for you because there isn’t a physical thing that needs to heals.. it’s just my body that is fucked up.” Elliot put the puppy down so he could explore with his older brother Max right behind him and cuddled into Jude. “I love you so much.”

Jude smiled, letting Max come up on the couch to rest his head on his lap. “You’re welcome. I’m glad you’re not mad about it. I just wanted to see you happy again and I couldn’t resist and Max could use a brother…” He shrugged, looking down to his dog.

“Thank you, I really love him. And it means a lot.” Elliot placed his hand on Jude’s cheek and smiled. “I’m sorry that I’ve been so distant and not really myself the last few weeks... I’m trying so hard, I am. I am happy, babe. It’s just hard to show it right now because of how my body is feeling... and I’m sorry that it seems like I’m not happy... because I am. I love you so much.” Elliot kissed Jude’s cheek and smiled.

Jude kept his eyes on his husband. He could see just how happy he was and it made him feel good knowing that he was able to help at least a little bit now. ““I think that’s a perfect name for him.” Jude told him, leaning over to kiss the side of Elliot’s head. ““I’m really glad you like him. It’s nice to see that smile on your face again.”

“I love him so much. Thank you so much, babe.” Elliot smiled and looked from Fili over to Jude. “This is the best gift ever, thank you.” He laughed gently as Fili started to lick him gently.

Jude leaned over and kissed the side of Elliot’s head. He moved the puppy to Elliot’s lap and shook his head. “Nope. Your puppy gets whatever name you decide to give him.” Jude said, reaching out to scratch at Max’s head. “The people at the animal shelter said he was the littliest in the litter that was brought in and the last to get adopted which completely blows my mind because look at his face.”

Elliot smiled as he petted the little puppy’s head and looked from him to Jude with a big smile on his face. It was the first time a while since he was actually really really happy. “Oh, I don’t know what to call him. He is so cute...” Elliot continued to pet the puppy. “Fili... I like that name. Get a little nerdy with The Hobbit.” He smiled and looked down at the puppy. “How do you like it, Fili?” The puppy looked at Elliot and titled his head. “I think he likes it.”

Jude nodded a little listening to what Elliot was saying. “but you got up and that’s what matters.” Jude told him. He grinned once Elliot finally noticed the puppy. “Well… I thought since Max is more my dog since I had him before we got together, you should have a dog too. And dogs cheer people up. And he was too cute to not get him for you.”

Elliot looked down at the little puppy in Jude’s arms and smiled a little. He was feeling a little gross tonight but that little face did seem to make it better. “Does he have a name yet?”

Jude smiled making his way out to the living room. “It was alright.” He said, sitting down, placing the new puppy on his lap, waiting to see how long it took Elliot to notice. He grinned watching Max make his way over to scope out the puppy, his eyes moving back to Elliot. “How was your day?” He asked curiously.

Elliot typed a little bit more and shrugged “It was alright... a little boring really... A little hard to get Max outside this morning, I was a little more tired today and it was just hard to get up at first.” Elliot looked over at Jude and shrugged a little. His eyes moved down to Jude’s lap as Max was sniffing. “What’s that?” He raised his eyebrows a little. “Did... did you get another dog?”
