Dovewing is the warrior of the week? Cool! I thought I should probably draw her to make up for the fact that I used to be one of the Dovewing haters back about 5 years ago ^^; I love this round little bean and I’m glad she’s where she can be happy now!

A sketchy Mothwing/Leafpool drawing I did cause I wanted to actually have something going on in my drawings. I hate backgrounds and perspective even more but I gave it a try. I tried to give Mothwing some scottish wildcat features (”spectacled” stripes around her eyes and a wide muzzle) since I headcannon that Tigerstar is mostly scottish wildcat. I also think that Mothwing got the Thunderclan “big” build while Leafpool is much smaller.

sometimes i think about how arguments in warrior cats that lead to fights go and remember how real ass cats look when theyre about to fight. i think it makes all that buildup funny. because to anyone else there's like 8 cats outside standing real close to each other and causing a fuckus in the woods

A Squirrelflight! I imagine she gets her floof from Nutmeg. I had a lot of fun with this one, it seems far more saturated on my computer than on my ipad but that may just be my monitor. So if she seems a little bit too red, whoops. I wanted to have her be fluffy because I always imagined she had a squirrel like tail, and I made her spiky to reflect her prickly personality lol.

A close-up of Snakestar from my last post, because I really like how he turned out and I want to talk more about the AU under the cut

I never liked how aggressive the clans were to each other about their “differences” which is mostly just which prey they eat and how they fight. It always seems kind of forced and superficial. I haven’t named the clans yet, but in this AU there are two clans with very different cultures. One, which Snakestar is the leader of, is very democratic. There is a leader and three “deputies”. The deputies are chosen by the clan voting, and when the leader dies, the clan chooses one of them to become leader. While the leader’s decisions carry more weight, the deputies spread out the power a bit so it’s not so authoritarian. 

The other clan is lead by Sealstar. They’re far more spiritual than the cannon clans. Outside of Starclan, they believe in cat deities, forest spirits that they perform rituals to. The other clan believes in them too, just not as much. The leader does not have a deputy, instead there is a sort of head medicine cat/deputy role. That cat takes on the suffix “moon” and leads the religious part of the clan. There is also more than 2 medicine cats, because I imagine that these clans are slightly bigger than cannon ones. 

There’s more to this AU which has to do with me figuring out how 20+ predators can live in one area without hitting carrying capacity but I feel like this post has gone on too long.
