Chicken Pox ( which gave me shingles) and hand , foot and mouth took up residence in my house for about a week.

I am so behind on , well , everything... Hopefully I'll get back on track today...or at least get started

Being a mom is hard.

It is exhausting. There are bills that will be hard to pay. There will be hours that seem to drag on. However. It is worth it. The bills get paid some how or another. And the endless hours do, in fact, end.

So take a second. Breathe. And remember to kiss on that baby of yours.

Sleepless in...Virginia

2 days in a row.

Which sounds like nothing now that I'm actually typing it.

I spent many nights awake when he was a newborn... This is an adjustment. I've had 3 years of semi-normal sleeping patterns.

The last 2 nights he has woken up every hour , almost on the hour.

Hes currently asleep on the couch because he just walked out here... I don't have the heart to move him and I don't have the energy to fight him back to bed over and over again tonight.

Maybe it's the prednisone?

Tomorrow is the last dose so if that's the case hopefully we will all be sleeping again by the weekend!

Royalty.

We were watching an episode of "Blues Clues" today.... It was all about the alphabet.

It got to the letter Q and the word that started with Q was queen.

E looked at me and said " Queen ! Mommy is a queen!"

Thank you, son.

Allergic Reactions.

Are fun.

Especially when you are the parent of the 3 year old who is having one.

Especially when said allergic reaction makes their eyes almost swell shut within 15 minutes.

Sigh , That was our Saturday night.

We still have no idea what the allergic reaction was from...

Now we have to take E to see an allergist and until then I have to keep a freakin diary of everything he eats , drinks , touches and does... Because that will be easy being that he is THREE.

sigh.
