She didn’t mean to beam back at him, but Lexy was excited by how supportive he was. Most everyone was telling her to take a season break. In her mind taking a break meant missing opportunities to be scouted, and invitations to private auditions. The world of ballet was extremely competitive. She worked hard to get where she was today and she knew that shirking physical therapy was dangerous, but she couldn’t sacrifice a single second for her knee. “Will you come watch me?” The ginger whispered. Her nose pressed against his and she couldn’t stop smiling now. “I can come to your games, and I’ll wear one of those big university hoodies and cheer in the stands. Then you can come watch me perform.” Lexy was planning out loud again. She always said what she wanted to happen and sometimes that got her in trouble, especially when she planned too far ahead. “I can’t wait to visit you on campus. We can finally have some alone time.” The last suggestion sounded a bit specific and she had intended it to. Lexy wasn’t quite ready to lose her virginity yet, but she hoped at least considering it would motivate Moscow to try for more than he was getting. “Maybe they’ll let me sleep over.” "Sure, I'll watch you," Moscow replied easily. Aside from wanting to be a supportive boyfriend, he thought it would be cool to see his girlfriend doing all these amazingly athletic things in a graceful way. "You gonna wear a nice, tight little leotard?" he inquired innocently. That would be another reason to watch. The male laughed. "Don't embarrass me!" he begged. "You be in the stands acting like my biggest fan or something! Nobody needs to see that!" he chuckled. "Oh," he found Lexy's plans were heading in a slightly different direction. Plans that he was sure were intended to give the connotations they did. "Even if you're not allowed, I'll sneak you in and you can stay in my bed," he offered in a purr. "You can even go to my classes for me so then you'll seem like you belong on campus even if you don't!"
"Baby," Vienna pouted, standing at the foot of the bed, her jeans pulled as high as they could (just above her jeans), leaving her pale lacy underwear, her curvy thighs and a little belly peeping over the waistband of the panties on show. "My thighs got big," the brunette complained softly, letting go of the stretched material to poke at the flesh of one thigh. "I been eating too much of your yummy food I think,"
Lexy tried not to focus on him leaving any longer. She hated those thoughts because they only served to bring her down. Instead she did her best to imagine what things would be like after college. Maybe they would be married like she hoped, or at least they would be engaged. Her mother had already forbade her from marrying any boy like Moscow, maintaining that boys like that could only be flings. Lexy leaned in and kissed his lips softly. She felt like her gratitude was in order after the way he’d encouraged her in front of her mother. “I really want the part.” She told him. Her doctor was adamant against Lexy doing anything that would be strain on her knee, but she was too reckless to listen. “He keeps saying I’ll ruin my knee, but I think my mom told him to say that.” She was wrong of course, but she wouldn’t think on the fact that she actually was badly injured Moscow was not a forward thinker and that reflected in how he handled everything. If he wanted to go to a party, he would go-regardless of whether he had commitments the next day or not. Things were a no-brain decision and "just do it" was more his mantra than Nike's, impulsive as he was. As such, thinking of what he would do beyond college was a ridiculous prospect. He was going to play football there and as for academia, well he'd select the majors and minors he wanted. He was sure he'd find a way to fall on his feet in regards to employment. "Then do it, baby!" Moscow chuckled. In his opinion doctors were annoying as hell, particularly if they were going to hold his girl back. Of course he wasn't experienced with dance but as an athlete he was used to physical pain and often even welcomed it-nothing made him feel manlier than the other guys nodding with wide eyes or the cheerleader girls simpering. Another reason to be impulsive! "Oh, fuck that!" Moscow exclaimed. "Pretty sure I've destroyed my knee three times and I'm still here! You'll be fine," he chuckled fondly. "I bet you'll get the part regardless of an injury!" he laughed.
Is he fucking serious? Lexy could hear that phrase likely playing in her mother’s head while Moscow went on about her opportunity to shirk her studies. She sat up on the couch and looked back at the woman, catching a cold glare before Lexy watched her disappear down the hallway. “She’s mad.” She whispered, kneeling beside her boyfriend and craning her neck to see if her mother could be coming back any time soon. It was likely that they would have their privacy now. Lexy climbed back into his lap and curled herself into him lovingly. The two weren’t sexually active yet but she was affectionate, and to both of her parents that was a red flag that the do-nothing boyfriend of their youngest daughter might be getting more than he was entitled. “I really want to go to Julliard, but I also want to go with you.” She confessed quietly to him. “I don’t know if mom will let me follow you. Plus she thinks college education is worthless unless I go to like Yale or something.” She rolled her eyes. Moscow smirked as he was informed that Lexy's mother was mad. He had hoped for that outcome and he was sure he would get it. It was somehow satisfying to know he had infuriated her but that she was too proper to confront anyone about it. If one of his girlfriends pissed off his mother, she'd at least challenge them then and there, which was embarrassing, but entertaining and more real. As Lexy climbed atop his thighs, Moscow put his arms at her waist, his hand slipping down to be just above the waistband of her pants-to be sure to make an impression if the parent returned. Indeed, he hadn't pushed Lexy into anything but he most definitely wasn't a pure, virginal boy and he was sure her mother could tell. "Babe, don't follow me just for the sake of it," he pleaded gently. "If you want to, then sure, but do what you honestly want to do," he pointed out. "You gotta be enjoying yourself,"
i wanna do things with you all. if we've had things previously, come talk to me.
Lexy wasn’t fishing for encouragement, in fact, she was fishing for someone who would be on her side though she was not expecting that at all. She smiled up at Moscow when he told her she could do it. Lexy knew that her coach was worried about her for a reason, but she didn’t think this fall would put so much of her season on hold. Her mother; however, saw very little positivity in the things Moscow was saying. Lexy’s father was of the opinion that she should focus on academics, and in turn her mother held to that same opinion. Ballet was just a distraction. The woman clicked her tongue and glowered at the back of Moscow’s head. “Well I don’t think dancing on a twisted knee is a smart idea.” She concluded as she made herself a glass of water in the kitchen. “She should be focusing on studying if she wants to get into a good university.” “I got into Julliard, mom.” “You’re not going to Julliard, honey.” Moscow knew for a fact that his academic standing was nowhere near high enough to impress the mother of his lover. He wasn't bothered. Although it didn't come naturally to him anyway, it wasn't as though he had put in effort either (usually choosing to ditch school and drink his days away, though that was another topic entirely) and he had still managed to get into college on the back of his sporting skill. Even that was based on a combination of size, toughness, and sheer lucky talent over that of hard work and perseverance but he knew he would get there and he knew even more that Lexy would! She actually did the work! "Yeah, see? You already got an offer!" Moscow laughed. "You don't have to do shit now!" he knew he was pushing his lucky by swearing, exposing his...lower class, less educated roots but he didn't care. Lexy didn't mind-if she minded, he wouldn't do it. "Just sit back and eat fried chicken until you're healed; though, you should really go for the show if you can,"

“Did you ask him about Odette?” Lexy stood up and walked around the couch, making her way toward the middle aged woman who was setting shopping bags on their breakfast table. “He said no.” “Why?” “Because he thinks it’s dangerous, and because your therapist thinks it’s dangerous.” “They’re going to recast me, mom.” She took a seat at the breakfast table, resting her forearms on the smooth cherrywood and laying her head upon them. “Sit up straight, Alexis.” Her mother exclaimed, looking back toward Moscow who was still sitting in front of the television. “We can talk about this later.” The teenager slowly dragged herself to her feet again, walking over to sit beside Moscow and resting her head in his lap. She’d taken a hard fall during her Christmas performance as Clara in The Nutcracker, twisting her knee in the last Act and putting her spring role in Swan Lake up for potential recasting. “It’s my favorite role, I already know every step. I have since I was nine.” She was talking to Moscow, lamenting because her mother was not listening. Moscow kept his eyes fixed on his girlfriend's mother as he was rejoined on the couch. She wasn't even listening to her own daughter. The male exhaled a little more heavily than he intended but turned his gaze to Lexy instead. "Ah, you'll do it," he assured her with a nod. He knew the girl was probably recovered enough but that she would be forced into the conservative approach no matter how she said she felt. "I had to try out for the football team last year on a bad ankle. You can get through it," he declared, just knowing he was to be considered irresponsible but almost wanting the amusement of some minor conflict. "Honestly, even if you did it with half your effort you'll still kill it. I've seen you dance, Lex," Moscow was putting in some effort with his devotion now he had to prove himself as he did whenever there was a parent present.
She couldn’t help being honest with him. It would have been easier to cover up her feelings, but she was so transparent sometimes that it was easier to fess up. “I just know I’m going to miss you so much, and that makes me stress out, and that makes me think of you doing things without me, and that makes me think of the people you’ll be doing those things with, and that makes me think of other girls, and of them liking you, and I know it’s stupid, but it’s only because I’m scared of missing you.” She caught her breath after the list of explanations, sitting back up to look at him with a little frown. Before she was even able to brush off her own worries, Lexy’s attention stirred at the front door opening and she was off of Moscow’s lap quicker than she had mounted it in the first place. Her head rested against his shoulder and she grabbed the remote to turn the television on once again. The teenager’s body-language shifted with her mother’s impending presence, but that was something the young couple was likely used to. “Alexis, I called your instructor this morning and he said you could practice as long as you’re careful.” The woman spoke as she walked into view, noticing Moscow and frowning. "Look, I know, but please-" Moscow was about to respond to Lexy's explanation but he was cut off-and shocked-by her swift movement from his lap. He wasn't a fool though; he could figure out what that reaction meant and it could only signify one thing- her mother. Fabulous. Moscow looked up as the older woman approached but said nothing as yet. He knew he wasn't approved of-just out of parental principal and so he thought it best not to even try and start any conversation, though he would respond if addressed. He looked up from his comfortable position on the couch and watched the frown on the woman's face with amusement. He was innocently sitting on the couch beside his girlfriend. He was not naked, he was not intoxicated, so what was the issue? To think, if forever was to be a thing, this would one day be his mother in law!
She knew she was being silly for thinking so long over this, but she couldn’t help her doubts. Lexy knew how distance could drive people apart, at least she heard that to be true; if he went away for very long, he would start to forget. At least Moscow was being goodnatured, keeping an air of kindness where some boys might have been hostile. It didn’t phase him that she was unhappy, every person in her position faced at least some degree of these same fears. Her arms rested around his neck and she kept her eyes lowered beneath his, avoiding looking him square in the eye for fear of really showing how nervous she was becoming. What she really wanted was to cry, to bare her feelings to him and to blubber about how much this was going to hurt, but she would not. Lexy put on another face and rested her forehead against his collarbone, sighing emotionally to herself and hugging him closer. “Promise you’ll always love me?” It wasn’t fair to force a promise out of someone, but she would hope that after all of this time their relationship actually meant something. It was wrong to doubt him… she thought of it as doubting herself. Even though he was in a long term relationship, and committed to it at that, Moscow was somehow too carefree for these conversations. The staying faithful was (relatively) easy! Especially considering he loved his girlfriend and they were together physically. Looking ahead in too much detail was not something Moscow liked to do. As he found Lexy burrowing into the platform that his collarbone provided, he knew that meant she was feeling insecurity and doubt but how could he ever have the certainty to tell her what she wanted to hear? Even verbally committing himself to someone he loved for an entire lifetime seemed very restricting-they were young after all. "I'll always love you," Moscow said, putting the emphasis on the word 'love'. "I promise," He figured he'd found it. He was sure he honestly would love the woman forever, whether they remained together for that time would be seen in due time! Not to say he didn't want that, but speaking with absolute conviction on an issue like that was just not something Moscow could bring himself to do. "Why you thinking about that stuff anyway? We're fine," he added in a light hearted tone, reassuring Lexy and himself in a way that they sure would be in love forever.
