“I would love that,” Darcy replied, feeling confident in bringing her home. Part of him had put it off for so long because he was nervous about moving forward so fast, but taking her home didn’t have to be scary. He chuckled when the snowball hit her, covering her in a light dusting of snow. “You have to throw one back at me,” he said, already leaning over and gathering up more snow. When he stood back up, a snowball in hand, she hit him in the chest with her own snowball and he laughed again. “Oh yeah? You’re gonna get it.” He threw his snowball at her, trying to get her from behind the tree.
Annalise couldn’t help but giggle as the snowball hit Darcy in the chest. Covering her mouth as to muffle the sound, she peaked further around the tree. Shrieking, she ducked back behind it as he sent another snowball her way, thought it brushed her shoulder. “Darcy! That one was colder than the first!” She bent down, quickly compacting another snowball before daring to rush out behind the tree. A bit ambitious in her throw, it missed him, unfortunately. Quickly she attempted to recover, gathering more snow.
