A tweet by @/karla_estrada22 posted on twitter for android at 10:50 AM on 8/13/2020 that reads:
“If Biden-Kamala wins,
Would you still be with us on the streets against police brutality and ICE?
Would you acknowledge that under the new administration kids will still be caged, families separated, and black folk still dying?
Or would you go back to brunch?”

I’ll never get over the sign I saw earlier this summer that said “If Hillary had won we’d be at brunch.” I think that’s why certain people want to reduce everything to voting, precisely so they can consider the work done and go back to brunch.
when you’re out at a restaurant or a coffee shop or a target or whatever with your friends and you overhear/eavesdrop the same snippet of some stranger’s conversation, and you look at each other for a second to check that you both heard this stranger say the same weird/funny/baffling thing and just break out in knowing grins and quiet laughter... that’s a love language

women for at least the last 80 years: don’t call me pet names if you don’t know me, it’s demeaning men: oh all of a SUDDEN you can’t call a waitress “sweetheart” or “dear” what is this NEW feminist bullshit everybody about any guy over 40: oh he’s from a different time, it was normal back then! He doesn’t mean anything by it!
Here's my opinion on Legend of Korra being on Netflix now.
Here's the thing. While I do feel like A:TLA is overall a better, more solid show as far as storytelling in comparison to LOK, I also think that Korra at its best?? Is the best of the entire franchise.
I love A:TLA, but damn, I don't think anything in it can compare to the final scene with Amon and Tarrlok. Like...fuck dude. When LOK went hard, it went HARD. It isn't a perfect show, but its highest moments were fantastic, imo
some sort of love poem
This is the wildest result of one of my comics becoming popular I feel rabid
was just gonna reblog this bomb ass comic again bc it's a mood but the author's addition is hilarious. this is why your english teachers taught you to find meaning in a text
“Life will break you. Nobody can protect you from that, and living alone won’t either, for solitude will also break you with its yearning. You have to love. You have to feel. It is the reason you are here on earth. You are here to risk your heart. You are here to be swallowed up. And when it happens that you are broken, or betrayed, or left, or hurt, or death brushes near, let yourself sit by an apple tree and listen to the apples falling all around you in heaps, wasting their sweetness. Tell yourself you tasted as many as you could.”
— Louise Erdrich, The Painted Drum
