On Halloween night of 1968

a former BLU scout named Jeremy visits his former medic colleague Dr. Fritz Ludwig, due to the side-effects of an accident involving the respawn machine. Jeremy complains of paranoia and nightmares in addition to the physical defects that got him fired from the company, and Dr. Ludwig confirms the machine has had disturbing failures before.

Dark walked into the lobby, her form elegant and poised as always. She approached him from behind.

"Hello, may I help you?" She asked politely, smiling

The young man jumps at her sudden appearance

Y-yeah, Sorry, i'm kinda looking for a job right now.

There is also another man, who looks older, and he's keeping a close eye on the young man

She titled her head, smiling politely "We're hiring for more studio assistants! Do you have a resume?"

The young man pauses, before looking to the side at the older man

Y-yeah, of c-course! who uh... who doesn't! The older man sighs and shakes his head in annoyance and endearment.

"So, perhaps you could give it to me and we can get this interview started?" She asked, flashing her sharp fangs a bit

The young man Fumbles through his pocket, and almost pulls out something that looks like a pill bottle, before the older man stands up and quickly walks over.

Sorry about him, it's right here. The older man says with a clear german accent, pulls out a resume, with all the information, down to the last minute detail, no clear signs of Forgery, the name for Relatives/Parental Guardians is listed as "Dr. Fritz Ludwig" in cursive, and the name for the one for hire is "Jeremy E."

"Thank you kindly. Follow me to my office." She turned on her heel and walked down the halls to her office

The young man follows behind, making sure not to accidentally bump into her.

A soft swishing noise is heard as they leave the lobby, but it was probably just the wind

She pointed to a chair in front of her desk as she sat in her seat.

"So, why should I hire you?"

The young man sits in the chair and thinks to himself for a moment.

Well I- uh...

He clears his throat, realizing he has no qualifications for any job of this kind, even before as a mercenary.

I-i kinda need this job, and I heard the pay is good...

She just shrugged "I've heard worse. Welcome to the team." She outstreched her hand for him to shake

Dark gagged a bit at the stench, the men in her life smoked quite frequently, she'd never been fond of the smell.

Though I must ask for you to put out your cigarette, as smoking is prohibited inside the studio and especially inside of my office." She motioned to a vintage looking ashtray.

Merde. Fine. With that, Jacques puts out the cigarette on the ashtray. Jeremy sits there, annoyed at his father's sudden appearance.

"Right well, lets give you a tour, shall we, Mr Jeremy?" Dark reaches her hand out to Jeremy to take to guide him into the hallway

Dark exits into the hall with Jeremy

"Why did your father decide to join the interview?" Dark asked as the other egos quickly fled into their respective spots at the slightest hint of her presence

I don't know, he has a tendency to pop up everywhere I go.

Jeremy looks at the egos as they flee, wondering if they're trying to hide from her.

Dark smirked as she grabbed Bing before he could run to the stairwell, he looked positively terrified of her.

"Jeremy, this is Bing. He's an android of sorts. He's part of the security team, which means he shouldn't be letting unauthorized people into my office." She said, smiling politely at Jeremy before glaring at Bing

"Uhh heyy boss lady and uhh, Jeremy.." Bing waved nervously at the new hire

Jeremy narrows his eyes, he must have a bad history with robots.

She let go of Bing and walked further down the empty hallway, explaining different rooms to Jeremy

"Does your dad do that often? Show up uninvited?" She asked, stopping in front of the door to the recording studio

He says with clear Annoyance in his voice.

She held back a snicker, trying to keep her serious demeanour. "Well, at least he seems to care about you?" She opens the door to the recording studio, it's massive, there's wires and cameras at every angle.

He seems surprised about the sheer size of the room, but soon pauses as concern fills His eyes, and He starts breathing heavily... why would He be scared?

"Is something wrong, Jeremy?" She asks, tilting her head. For a moment, everything turns monochromatic and Darks human disguise faltered. But in the blink of an eye, she was back to normal.

For a moment, Jeremy could see his own Mangled corpse from the Conagher Slaughterhouse on the floor.

He takes a deep breath

It's nothing...

He dismisses softly

"Jeremy? Are you okay?" Dark asked, gently placing a hand on his shoulder

Y-yeah, i'm fine...

He reassures, though his voice slightly cracks mid-sentence

"Perhaps a trip to the infirmary is in order." She leads him out of the studio and towards Dr Ipliers office

Jeremy quietly follows along, Remaining oddly Silent throughout the walk.

"So Jeremy, anything you want to share about your background?" She asked as she opened the infirmary door

Uh, I used to work for a company called Builders League United, or whatever it was called.

He sighs as he follows her inside the infirmary.

I got laid off after an incident though...

"Incident? What happened?" The pair enters Doctor Ipliers office, though he's nowhere to be seen at the moment

Something in the respawn machine broke and it rendered me 'Useless'.

Jeremy glances around, confused at the lack of a Doctor.

Her eye twitched a bit.

"Yes. Unfortunately I think that hack who calls himself a doctor is DRINKING ON COMPANY TIME." She hissed before pulling back a curtain to reveal Dr Iplier holding a flask

"Okay, just get your vitals checked, then feel free to look around the studio yourself. I have something to attend to." She exited into the halls and disappeared as the doctor put the flask away and approached Jeremy

Dr. Iplier merely placed a blood pressure/heart rate machine on Jeremy's arm and waited for results

"Soo, you a new hire?" The doctor asked, trying to make small talk. Meanwhile the lady approved Dr Ludwig from behind, shadows slowly consuming the area around him

Jeremy's face softens, calming down.

Doctor Ludwig quickly turns around, ready to pull something out, but sees nobody behind him.

Huh!? Hmm...

Luckily, nobody else is in the lobby. except the receptionists, but they don't get paid enough to care.

The doctor nodded as he took off the band from Jeremy's arm, he just took out an energy drink from a mini fridge.

"Here, you might just be dehydrated. Your vitals are fine." He smiled nervously at Jeremy, the red blinking light of a security camera watching him intently.

The lady swiftly moved through the shadows, appearing before Dr Ludwig in her demonic form

"You can try if you'd like, but you really won't get far." She turned herself into a shadow, red eyes still staring at the doctor.

"Here, you might just be dehydrated. Your vitals are fine." He smiled nervously at Jeremy, the red blinking light of a security camera watching him intently.

The lady swiftly moved through the shadows, appearing before Dr Ludwig in her demonic form
