Waves are such a pretty thing to photograph in my opinion. They are constantly moving folding and crashing in many different ways. They are never still and is a prefect explain of movement in photography. You can tell where they wave is going to land and by looking at the splattered pieces all around it. The different heights in the waves are also a give away they are in movement
In this article I'll describe how you can use different shutter speeds and panning to capture motion in your photography.
Photographs are the capture and immortalize a small piece of our life
Photographs capture motion pictures simply to show an object is moving. It also can eliminate elements in a scene that can distracts the viewer from the focal point of the photo
1) blurred subject with background in focus
To show this you would use a slow shutter speed. And to keep in mind to keep the camera straight. It’s common to use this technique at night
2) blurred background with subject focused
You also use a slow shutter speed but instead of keeping the camera straight you would pan the camera with then direct of your subject
Most of the time, moving subjects register as a blur on photographs. So how do you shoot moving objects? Here are some tips.
Tips to taking motion photos
1) shutter speed
-the higher the shutter speed; the more clear a moving photo would be
-shutter speeds also play a role in the exposure or underexposure of photos. The higher your shutter speed, the more likely he picture will be dark
-Outdoors have less issues because of nature lights making it easier for exposure
2) increasing the aperture
-this is the hole where light comes from
-opening this will help you counter the affects of a fast shutter speed
3)use a flash
-you can easily correct dark spots by using a flash
-however it can sometimes be distracting

-motion blur is the purposeful streaking or blurring of something in the photo to show a motion visual effect
-mainly in sports photography
3tips for capturing photography
1) use a slow shutter speed- this means it needs a longer exposure time
2)be aware of the lighting- you don’t want to risk overexposing the photo to high amounts of light. It’s better to take in low light
3) stabilize your camera- make sure the moment is the object not the camera
-the best shutter speed is slower. Speeds like 1/500th won’t capture much movement since they take photos faster
-aperture is an adjustable opening lens that lets light in which plays a role in shutter speed
Vision Blurring…
Fire never stays still so it always shows motion!you can clearly see the smoke as well as the embers moving with it. The fire has breaks in it and goes off in different directions. It’s also not clear where it starts this is due to the consent movement from the flame
The surfaces concert was amazing FYI and it led me to take MANY photos lol and this one was one of my favs. You can see two examples of movement in this. The first would be the phone. You can tell the girl filming was dancing or just moving around in general. The phone appears slanted and not clear. The second is of the singer himself. His arms are larger in the photo because of his movement. He was energetic when performing so it was difficult to take a still photo.

Speed is a big aspect that plays a role in capturing movement in my opinion. Looking at this photo all the bikers appear to have a merged-together look. This has to do with the fact that they are in a group and they are moving. The camera wasn’t able to take a photo fast enough to keep up with how they were moving and therefore resulting in the blurred show of movement.
When I was taking this photo I was focusing on the sky. By doing so I was able to capture the movement of the car. You can tell the different directs they were going it and how fast. The ones that are more blurred were moving at a higher speed.
Do you believe that your images are objective representations of reality? You might be mistaken. Here are a few arguments why.
1) facts
• photos are subject to the photographers point of view
-they are biased
- the people viewing are seeing how the photographer thinks or takes the photos
-people want to see reality and not subjectivity
• subjectivity is most prevalent when photographing human beings
• HDR to increase the information of an image
•black and white to emphasis structure and not colour
• “why did you chose to show something but not the other?” subjectivey
There is a pattern with the lights. The lights are in a line and are shinning very bright in the dark night sky. You can also see the road and it directs you in how to look at the photo; from top to bottom
This is a photo I took casually as I was skating. The point of this photo in my mind was to have the light behind me so you can see the shadow
Tiled Steps in San Francisco that Reflect the Moonlight
This photo is so  mesmerizing to me. The way the colours change as they reflect I find very cool. The unity in the photo comes from the lines of the stairs and the colours.
spacing was one aspect I focused on when taking this. How much sky there is compared to the buildings was what I wanted to achieve. This emphasizes (in my opinion) the buildings because it makes you really look at them since they are so small. I also thought the sun made it pretty
the use of line (horizontal trees and landscape) help to emphasis the different between the colourful sky and the dark grass. The use of colour is also evident as the sky is multicoloured. I took this photo on that to my brothers hockey game and this I did a good job considering we were in the car
The driveway appears larger and open because of the use of spacing. I tried to make the houses look further away and the basketball net close. I also like the way the sun highlights the houses.
I took this photo on the way home the other night. The bus was empty so I was able to use this opportunity to take a picture of it. The red and yellow colours are bright in the photo while the grey flops and the black of the night bring darkness. The use of vertical lines as the poles is another technique I used. I enjoyed this photo because it’s something simple but still has meaning.
