He had heard Vee speak of the two names but he couldn’t recall meeting them. Hyungwon was generally good at remembering names and faces, too good.

He sighed softly, eyes playfully rolling though he couldn’t help the fond smile that quirked up the corners of his lips. “He has a habit of talking too highly of me I think. I’m nothing more than a simple student.” A student he was, simple he was not. Then again if Vee wasn’t telling people how great Hyungwon was, he was telling them that his boyfriend was an off duty serial killer so which was actually better?

“I don’t have many friends to speak to about him,” in fact he had… none but that wasn’t the point. “I adore him more than the air i breath, him and all that glitter, the way his eyes just seem to spread warmth wherever they glance.” He sighed again before closing his throat.

“Sorry, moment of sap. I take it your target hasn’t been sighted?” He smiled at her, leaning forward so he could drop his voice and ensure no one was listening in. “For just entered by way of the bar, maybe look there.”

Oh, if he had met the Zira duo he would have remembered. The two were as handsome as they could be manipulative (even if both boasted about how good they were and how pure their behaviour supposed to be-). The other was talking about being a simple student which was a lie since they were both here and out for a case. Emilia snorted at it.

“Yes, Vee mentioned something about… that. Your low number of friends.” Emilia didn’t have many friends herself- keeping a few close to her and the rest, well, they could perish for all she cared. The captain had a sneaking suspicion that Hyungwon was the same. Though he spoke so lovingly of Vee, which was cute.

“No.” she eyed the people that just entered the bar and narrowing her eyes one of the girls did look like the Ixtab she was looking for. Though she couldn’t be sure right now. “Maybe, let’s observe a little bit.” the woman said as she slid closer to Hyungwon (and with that, the woman who had just entered.

“It is good to love, I suppose, I always thought it to be a weakness.” she was not without love of course, she had her loved ones though they were all… save and sound. Just as she liked it.

The moment it happened she was already cursing whatever creature had managed to get close enough to her. Her eyes widening as she felt the electric surge go through her frail body and the bionic parts of her froze for a moment, bringing the proud woman to her knees. She tried to hail her ship for help as it surely was an alien hunter that had gotten her- so close to the academy? Usually they weren’t this… brave.

Something else happened and she was out, darkness engulfing her before she passed out and only woke up later, locked up or bound- unable to move much though. Who was the unlucky bastard that had brought the wrath of Emilia Ara’Unai upon them?!

This was bad and she would crush whoever had done this to her perfect little angel. The woman had found the other sitting in the mud outside as it had been storming for an hour now and now she was cradling the woman against her bosom- not caring about the dirt or mud on her dress as she held Jieun close to her. “it’s okay. Don’t worry, I got you, you have me.” she whispered to the other as she pressed soft kisses against the other’s hair.“

It was no secret that Emilia did not treat students equally and that women usually got off easier but Jieun was even more of an exception to her usually harsh rule. “Who did this to you?” she asked, one hand on the other’s chest to try to calm her down. “Breathe. Here, feel my heartbeat.” she put Jieun’s hand on her own chest where her metal heartbeat sounded and was easily felt through her frail body.

As the invitation to sit was accepted, Hyungwon slid into the seat opposite of her with trained grace. His hand tensed momentarily at the contact from the other but he brushed the awkwardness of it off by gently giving her hand a squeeze of would be affection.

“We’ll be the happiest couple here, ” anything to finish the job. He could fake a live for skinship as well as the next fellow if that’s what it took.

Leaning forward he grinned at her next question, fingers idly tracing patterns over her skin as he nodded.

“Guilty as charged. I’m beginning to realize his circle of friends is far wider than my own for it seems every time I’m out i meet someone who knows him and by extention knows me. He’s really something marvelous. ” Hyungwon sometimes swore his boyfriend knew everyone in the entire world, or maybe his world was just so small that by comparison Vee’s seemed so vast

“How do you know Vee?”

The happiest couple indeed, this was a good way to blend in the crowd. A nice heterosexual couple indeed. It was good and it was nice and no one would suspect a thing from the two- a true power-couple indeed (what was it with Emilia and pretending to be dating men).

Guilty as charged, indeed it was the boyfriend of the happy-go-lucky fairy who Emilia quite enjoyed against better judgement. “He is something different, that boyfriend of yours.” she said “I visit the nightclub that he works at and through there I met him as he is friends with my friends.” she explained to the other man. “Zitao and Yeomra, do you know them? They introduced me to Vee since they hang out a lot at that night club.” she spoke softly as her eyes kept scanning the crowd.

There was no sign of the traitor yet and it annoyed her as she wanted to stab a man through the heart tonight. Ah… So annoying.

“Vee talks highly of you.” she added with a soft voice “I didn’t expect you to be this… different from him.”

Faking a sigh, Hyungwon let his head nod as if begrudging her request not to start a ruckus which was a shame, he did like a ruckus and the faces of the men would have looked so nice connected to the ends of his fist.

“Very correct, I’ve seen you at the academy as well though I don’t think we’ve met.”

He flashed a vibrant smile as he slipped into the opposite seat across from her taking a sip from the gin he’d ordered upon entering the bar.

“I’m here looking for- waiting for someone, they’re running late though - a bother- would you mind if I sat with you until they arrive? It would make me stand out less if I wasn’t alone.” His target would hopefully arrive soon and he could leave this trashed up den of sin.

Of course a ruckus was nice but she stillhoped for her target to be somewhere here. Not sure of this though, she looked around again. Wanting to find the stupid man but there was no sign of them- had her information been wrong? Had they been ticked off beforehand? So many possibilities and she was getting frustrated.

“No, you don’t take my class.” she said, not looking at him at the moment as she was scanning the crowd. “You’re welcome to sit with me-” he wanted to stand out less too? She linked her hand with the other as if they were on a “date. if we pretend to be on a date you’ll stick out less and I won’t have to restrain myself from skinning every testosterone fleshsack in this establishment.”

The music was upbeat and she made a face as some of the men were still lingering close as if she would be interested… As if-

“Wait, you’re the one that little Vee is dating, aren’t you?” she suddenly asked as she turned to actually look at the man.

These moments were rare these days, Emilia was often busy and Jieun seemed to hide out in her room a lot. Well, the captain did not see her out a lot anyway but perhaps that was because she was so busy. “The strongest always fall the hardest. I do not care about weaklings, they aren’t worth my time.”

She looked down at the young woman’s face, she was beautiful in such a serene way. “You’re not responsible- do you think I do not hear afterwards of all the foolish things you get up to, jieun?” she asks and snorts. “The teachers gossip, you know, they do.” She sighed as she booped the other’s nose.

“You pretend to be strong, and you are, but part of you is weak. It is okay, we all have that part.”
