“Oh, man, I volunteered for them last halloween, they needed a few extras-- they aren’t that bad! It depends on the actors they get, you know. They really make or break the whole thing. They’ve got a couple different ones, recommend the walking tour for kids. Tamer, you know.”

taeler cackled. “that sounds mad fun though, bro. you’re way more out there than i am.” things had been fairly quiet for him since monroe fest. “uhh, i wish it was. i think all that super exciting shit doesn’t start til we go on tour. we’re recording our first album, though, and that’s been pretty sick.” he paused. “maybe i should go out to these parties with you, show you how rockstars party,” he waggled his eyebrows at him.

“God, right??” Emilio laughed, “Shit, man-- the same. Happy. Nothing changed. Which is kind of shit, since that’s the point of being here. Clock in, clock out, find a party, get fucked up on someone else’s dime, and try to run around and see everything. There may have been an accident. I’m so sorry for the inconvenience.”

“Oh, hey! It’s you!” Taeler grinned, pulling Emilio into a tight one armed hug while making room for him under the awning. “So why haven’t you, man? My number’s still the same,” he teased, nudging him in the ribs with his elbow.

Emilio grinned bright, leaning in to the hug before he flinched, remembering about Taeler’s rib. “I open up my messages, I remember I have to call and rearrange the work schedule, then I go do dishes, and then I look at my phone and don’t remember what I wanted to do. It’s all part of the process.”

a drop of water caught taeler square on the nose. he looked up, only to have another drop fall into his eye. blinking and gingerly patting his eye, he ducked under an awning just as the sky opened up and it began to pour. spying someone in the rain, he waved them over. “c’mon! there’s still room under here!”

Emilio pulled his headphones out when the drizzle started, glancing up- he knew it was going to rain, but he didn't remember the clouds looking for menacing when he left his house today. He was busy shoving his phone into his deepest pocket when he heard shouting and saw Taeler underneath cover across the sidewalk, and jogged on over. "Dude, thanks-- I was about to have a pretty shitty day-- and I've been meaning to catch you around!"

“Not quite a ‘salesman,’ however. I mean, I work in the family business, but more with investors and the like. More recently, I’ve acquired a few properties in town, so I had this idea of sending a little something to those who become leaseholders. Although you do have a point. I was just hoping for something a little more vibrant than plastic packages in a basket— although you can never really go wrong with food, can you?”

“Why don’t you bring down some of those packaged gift baskets-- if you make a special order, we can create mini bouquets within the packages, you know what I mean? Weave in some flowers if it’s a thick-woven wicker basket, that kind of thing. Set you apart, add a colorful touch.”

Her eyes widened as the shop worker gave her the run down of the town. It was nice to hear it from someone who knew what he was talking about. They’ve got the kind of nostalgia feel that makes forgiveness easier. I always suggest chocolates. If it were me I’d say some small bouquet with a card and heartfelt apology would suffice- oh, no, no! You should get her a plant. A symbol of the process you’re going through together, all the growth and fostering!!”

Listen, I’m answering this OOC solely because I can’t find a way to find the IP address on this ask. This is disgusting. You’re disgusting. This isn’t funny, or cute. Especially when I don’t even have a history of interaction with this character on tumblr. Your joke is not only severely out of touch with how much the idea of sexual slavery and Bill Cosby and those things combined could disgust or trigger someone, but also completely out of left field AND unrelated to my character. Erik had decided he needed an arrangement of flowers. Sometimes he thought it would be nice to be sweet after all, but mainly he was trying to plan this out right. The moment he’d speak to Serenity about the future. Not really an subject he wanted to touch, but it had to happen eventually. Usually he would go to Summer for these kind of things, but since she wasn’t around at the moment, he figured he’d try his luck with someone new. Erik carried a sleeping Zak on his shoulder, as he entered the flower shop. To what he was positive was at the employer’s dismay, Erik managed to see that the male was forming a ball out of what he assumed to be rubber bands before tossing it over his head. He rose his brows at the male, “Depends. How much is rubber band ball? Does the broken vase come with it?” 

“Oh, sir... you must be in the wrong place. There’s a Staples somewhere near here, maybe just out of the city, if you’re in need of office supplies.” Emilio went the usual route- ignorance, confusion, with a smile on his face. He’d clean up the vase and take it out of his pay later, but it was one of the fun perks of retail to have his mistakes pointed out to him, not the worst thing in the world... But definitely not among his favorites. “Can I help you with anything? And who is this absolute charmer?” He grinned, keeping his voice level to not wake up what Emilio was 54% sure might have actually been a cherub instead of a human baby.

Yeah, he definitely felled a vase that was going to come out of his paycheck. “Oh, great! We can definitely help you out. How many are you looking for, and when’s the event happening?”

Claire wanted to get some flowers for her new place and decided to swing by the florist on her way home from work. It was late, and she wasn’t even sure it was still open, but it seemed she was in luck. She stopped just inside the door when she heard something crash, wondering if she had been the cause but then locating it to be further away from her. “Huh?” She said and blinked to focus on the guy by the counter. “Oh, uh… I was just gonna have a look at your selection. Any recommendations?”

“Several! I’m always fond of sunflowers. Our potted plants are always looking for homes, too!” Emilio’s favorite recommendation were their plants- they tended to only go out for funerals, and there weren’t a lot of people who wanted to keep death-inspired peace lillies around.

“Fantastic,” Mal replied, finally looking at the man who had greeted him and returning a courteous smile. Taking steps closer, he shook his head and continued, “No events for now, but I was thinking that perhaps— well. Would you mind if I asked your opinion on something? Do you think it would be unusual to purchase flowers for clients? Sort of like a token of gratitude for their business and such.”
