Next phase of the never-ending project: adding a ton of rhinestones to the sunbursts I embroidered last year! My hotfix wand unfortunately melts the tulle so I have to use transfer tape, I'm still working out how to apply it without completely messing up my straight lines but it looks sparkly regardless. Long time no see! Needless to say, a lot has happened since my last post, and not much cosplay content was created. Still, I've been working on quite a few things, and chief among them is my sewing skills. Between January and July, I attended a class to improve various aspects, and I am now confident enough in my quality of work to start offering commissions! I have a couple of pieces I want to wrap up first, but I want to do a bit of a trial run and take a simple commission with no set deadline, so if that sounds like something you're interested in, DM me and we can talk about it 😉 Aside from that, I showed some progress shots of this Fire Emblem costume in my stories, the dress is now mostly done except for some custom decorative buttons that'll be coming later. New year, new (old) cosplans! Christine is coming along, and Anastasia is on the horizon but in between two huge ballgowns I want a slightly more practical project, that will be Anna or Annette (yeah, lots of An- s this year) depending on how I feel when I'm nearing the end of Christine. I'm also upgrading Calianna and might get around to finishing my Anora upgrades at some point. It's the last day of the year, seems like a good time to recap 2019! I actually put together two costumes this year, but at the con I was so focused on hanging out with friends that I completely forgot about pictures, so I only have one portrait of Caleb (by the lovely @ela.common.room) and one blurry selfie of Calianna 😅 I promise I'm working on them and next time I'll remember to take photos! I also spent about 6 months on Christine's skirt embroidery, which is still not finished but is getting there, so if everything goes well I can finish the costume in 2020 🤞 But you guys seemed to enjoy my works in progress, so I'll try to keep you updated 😉 I'm really looking forward to what's coming next year! Belated post but the weekend knocked me on my ass x_x But DoKomi was an amazing experience! It's so nice to have that park right next to the venue, it's the perfect hangout, the Artists' Alley is the biggest I've ever seen, and it's altogether one of the best cons I've been to.
