Hi there ! This is my first ever request and I don’t wanna ask too much or break any standards or rules but do you know that one fic you wrote with Ohyul “baby boi” ??
Can you make like a pt.2 but opposite, so Ohyul takes care of reader? I feel like it would be interesting, you could maybe do like the reader falls into a really bad position and the members are seeing her distant she’s been all hiked up with work.
Sorry if I wrote too much I just really like the way you write! 🤗
🫶 This is actually such a cute idea and you definitely didn’t write too much!! Thank you for the request and for all the sweet words 🥹
Here’s the link!

MASTERLIST
Ohyul knew something was wrong before you ever said anything.
He noticed it in the way your messages started getting shorter.
Usually, you texted him like your thoughts were tripping over each other, sending three bubbles before he could even answer the first one. You would tell him about the smallest things, like how your coffee tasted weird, or how someone at work said something dramatic, or how you saw a dog that looked like it had an attitude problem.
Lately, though, your replies were different.
yeah
it’s okay
I’m fine
i’m just tired
At first, he tried not to overthink it. Everyone got busy. Everyone had days where they did not feel like talking much. He knew you had work piling up, and he knew you hated making people worry about you, so he told himself to relax.
But then one tired day turned into three.
Then three turned into a week.
Then you stopped answering his calls.
That was when Ohyul really started to worry.
The dorm was loud that night, the kind of loud that usually made him complain, but in a half laughing way. Louis and Woojin were arguing over what to order for dinner, Ryul was stretched across the couch with his phone held above his face, and Ohyul sat at the kitchen table staring at your contact.
He had sent you a message almost twenty minutes ago.
did you eat yet?
You had not answered.
That by itself was not the end of the world, but the tiny unread message felt like a weight in his chest.
“You look scary,” Louis said, leaning over the back of the chair beside him. “Like actually scary. What are you plotting?”
Ohyul blinked and looked up. “Nothing.”
“That was not a nothing face.”
Woojin looked over from where he was scrolling through food options. “Is it about her?”
Ohyul did not answer right away, which basically answered for him.
Ryul lowered his phone a little. “She has been weird lately.”
Ohyul’s eyes snapped toward him. “What do you mean?”
Ryul sat up slowly, realizing he had stepped right into it. “I mean, not weird bad. Just quiet. She came over the other day and barely said anything.”
“She came over?” Ohyul asked.
“You were at practice,” Woojin said. “She dropped off that hoodie you left at her place.”
Ohyul frowned. “Why didn’t anyone tell me?”
“Because she was here for like two minutes,” Louis said. “And she looked like she was about to fall asleep standing up, so I didn’t want to bother her.”
That made Ohyul feel worse.
He looked back down at his phone, his thumb hovering over your contact again. He wanted to call you, but he also did not want to make you feel cornered. That was always the hard part with you. You were so good at taking care of everyone else, but the second someone tried to take care of you, you acted like you had been caught doing something wrong.
His phone buzzed.
Your name lit up the screen.
Ohyul grabbed it so fast Louis actually flinched.
yeah i ate
That was it.
No joke. No heart. No little complaint about your day.
Just three words.
Ohyul stared at them, then typed back.
what did you eat?
The typing bubble appeared, disappeared, appeared again, then vanished completely.
No answer.
He pushed his chair back.
“I’m going to her place.”
Louis straightened. “Right now?”
“Yes.”
Woojin gave him a look. “Do you even know if she wants company?”
Ohyul paused with his hoodie halfway over his head. That question bothered him because he did not know. He hated that he did not know.
Ryul’s voice was calmer. “Just bring food. Then it looks less like you’re going there to interrogate her.”
Louis nodded. “And don’t walk in acting all intense. You do that face and people immediately feel guilty.”
“I do not have a face.”
“You have several,” Woojin said. “This one is your ‘I am worried but pretending I’m not about to panic’ face.”
Ohyul ignored him, but he still grabbed his keys slower than before.
By the time he got to your place, he had a bag of food in one hand and his phone in the other. He stood outside your door for a few seconds, listening to the quiet on the other side.
Then he knocked.
It took long enough for him to knock again.
Finally, the door opened.
And there you were.
You looked like you had been running on nothing but stress and stubbornness. Your hair was a little messy, your eyes tired, your shoulders tense under an oversized sweatshirt. You blinked at him like your brain needed a second to understand he was actually there.
“Ohyul?”
He tried to smile, but it came out softer than usual. “Hi.”
“What are you doing here?”
“I brought food.”
Your eyes dropped to the bag, then back to his face. “I told you I ate.”
“What did you eat?”
You opened your mouth.
Nothing came out.
Ohyul lifted his eyebrows.
You looked away. “I had coffee.”
“That is not food.”
“It has milk in it.”
He stared at you.
You sighed and stepped back. “Fine. Come in.”
Your place looked exactly like you had been swallowed by work. There were papers on the table, your laptop was open, your bag was dropped near the couch, and a half empty cup sat beside a pile of notes. It was not dirty, just overwhelmed. Like you had been moving from one task to the next without giving yourself a second to breathe.
Ohyul set the food down and took it all in quietly.
You noticed.
“Don’t look at it like that,” you muttered, walking past him. “I know it’s messy.”
“I wasn’t going to say that.”
“You were thinking it.”
“No,” he said. “I was thinking you look tired.”
That made you stop.
For a second, your face changed. The careful wall you had been holding up slipped just a little, and he saw it. The exhaustion. The pressure. The way you were trying so hard not to fall apart in front of him.
Then you forced a small laugh and turned away. “Everyone’s tired.”
Ohyul hated that answer.
He followed you into the kitchen area, where you started moving random things around like pretending to clean would make the moment less heavy.
“Sit down,” he said.
“I can’t. I have to finish this thing.”
“You can eat first.”
“I’m not hungry.”
“You just said coffee was food.”
You gave him a look. “I’m fine.”
There it was again.
Those two words.
Ohyul stepped closer, not crowding you, but close enough that you had to notice he was not going to let the conversation disappear. His voice stayed gentle.
“You keep saying that.”
“Because I am.”
“No, you’re not.”
You froze with your hand on the counter.
The room went quiet.
Ohyul swallowed. He did not want to fight with you. That was the last thing he wanted. But he also could not keep watching you disappear into yourself while everyone pretended not to see it.
“You don’t answer calls anymore,” he said. “You barely text. You came to the dorm and didn’t even tell me. Louis said you looked like you were about to pass out. You’re not eating. You’re not sleeping. And every time I ask you what’s wrong, you say you’re fine like that makes it true.”
Your jaw tightened. “I just have a lot going on.”
“I know.”
“No, you don’t.” Your voice cracked slightly, and you looked frustrated with yourself for it. “You don’t get it. I have so much to do, and every time I finish one thing, there’s something else. And I keep telling myself I’ll rest later, but later never comes, and I’m so behind, and I don’t even know where to start anymore.”
Ohyul’s expression softened.
You pressed your palms against your eyes, trying to stop the tears before they could fully show. “I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to snap.”
“Don’t be sorry.”
“I’m just being dramatic.”
“You’re not.”
“I am.” You laughed once, but it sounded broken. “It’s not even that serious. People deal with worse stuff all the time. I should be able to handle this.”
Ohyul shook his head. “You don’t have to earn being tired.”
That was what finally broke you.
Your shoulders dropped, and the tears came before you could hide them. You turned away quickly, embarrassed, but Ohyul was already there, his hand gently catching yours.
“Hey,” he said softly. “Don’t do that.”
“I hate crying.”
“I know.”
“It’s embarrassing.”
“It’s not.”
You tried to wipe your face with your sleeve, but he reached for a tissue first, holding it out without making a big deal out of it. That made you cry harder for some reason. Not because it was huge, but because it was small. Because he noticed. Because he came over. Because he brought food. Because he was looking at you like you were not annoying or dramatic or too much.
You were just someone he loved who was tired.
Ohyul guided you to the couch and sat beside you, close enough to be there but not so close that you felt trapped. He let you cry without rushing you. He did not tell you to calm down. He did not try to fix everything in one sentence.
He just stayed.
After a while, your breathing slowed.
“I didn’t want you to worry,” you whispered.
“That did not work.”
You gave a tiny laugh through your tears. “Yeah, I can tell.”
“I worry more when you pretend.”
You looked down at your hands. “I didn’t want to be annoying.”
Ohyul looked almost offended. “You think you could annoy me by needing help?”
“I don’t know.”
“You help me all the time.”
“That’s different.”
“How?”
You did not have an answer.
He leaned back against the couch, watching you carefully. “You always show up for me. When I’m stressed, when I’m tired, when I get in my head, you just know. You bring me snacks, you text me reminders, you sit with me even when I’m being quiet.”
“You’re not hard to take care of.”
His face softened again. “Neither are you.”
For once, you did not argue.
The two of you sat there for a moment, the food still untouched on the table, your laptop still open across the room. The world did not magically fix itself, but it felt a little less impossible with him beside you.
Then Ohyul stood.
You looked up quickly. “Where are you going?”
“To get plates.”
“You don’t know where anything is.”
“I’ll find it.”
He did not find it.
He opened the wrong cabinet three times, found a mug, a random candle, and a bag of napkins before you finally laughed and pointed him in the right direction.
“There,” you said. “Second one.”
“I was testing you.”
“You were struggling.”
“I was being independent.”
“You were losing to a kitchen.”
Ohyul smiled a little, and it was the first time all night that the tight feeling in his chest eased.
He brought the food over and sat with you while you ate. He did not hover, but he watched enough to make sure you actually took more than two bites. Every time you slowed down too much, he gave you a look until you rolled your eyes and ate another piece.
“You’re being bossy,” you said.
“You need bossy.”
“I do not.”
“You had coffee for dinner.”
You went quiet.
He pointed at your plate. “Exactly.”
About halfway through, your phone buzzed. You glanced at it and immediately went tense.
Ohyul noticed. “Work?”
You nodded.
“Do you have to answer right now?”
“I should.”
“That was not my question.”
You stared at the screen, thumb hovering.
Ohyul gently took the phone from your hand and placed it face down on the table.
You blinked. “Ohyul.”
“Ten minutes.”
“But—”
“Ten minutes,” he repeated. “Eat. Breathe. Then we look at it together.”
Something about the word together made you stop fighting.
So you ate.
Afterward, Ohyul helped you sort through what actually needed to be done and what your stressed brain was pretending needed to be done. He made three piles on your table, even though his version of organizing was mostly just pushing papers around and asking, “Is this evil?” every time he found something new.
By the time the members called, you were tucked under a blanket on the couch while Ohyul sat on the floor in front of the coffee table, rewriting your to-do list into something that looked less terrifying.
He answered on speaker.
“Is she alive?” Louis asked immediately.
You leaned toward the phone. “Wow. Hello to you too.”
“Oh, good. She sounds annoyed. That means she’s fine.”
“I am not fine,” you said, then paused.
Ohyul looked over at you.
You looked down at your blanket, voice quieter. “But I’m better.”
The line went softer for half a second.
Then Woojin said, “Did she eat?”
“Yes,” Ohyul answered.
“Did she drink water?”
Ohyul looked at the cup on the table. “Half.”
“Make her drink the rest.”
“I’m right here,” you said.
Ryul’s voice came through next. “We know. Drink the water.”
You stared at the phone, betrayed. “Why are all of you teaming up on me?”
“Because you’re scary when you’re overworked,” Louis said. “And because Ohyul gets scary when you’re overworked.”
Ohyul frowned. “I do not.”
“You showed up here earlier looking like you were going to storm a castle.”
“That is not true.”
You smiled into your cup as you finally drank the rest of the water.
The members stayed on the call for a few more minutes, mostly making jokes so the heaviness in the room could loosen. They did not push you to explain everything. They did not make you feel bad. They just made it clear, in their own loud way, that they had noticed you and cared.
When the call ended, Ohyul looked satisfied.
“They love you,” he said.
You picked at the edge of the blanket. “I know.”
“Do you?”
You were quiet.
He stood and moved to sit beside you again. “You don’t have to disappear when things get bad.”
“I don’t mean to.”
“I know.”
“I just feel like if I tell people I’m struggling, then it becomes real.”
Ohyul nodded slowly. “But it is real even when you don’t tell anyone.”
That hit harder than you expected.
You leaned your head against the back of the couch, suddenly exhausted all over again, but in a different way. Not the sharp kind of tired that made your chest feel tight. This was softer. Like your body finally understood it was allowed to stop running.
Ohyul reached for the blanket and tugged it higher around your shoulders.
“You’re sleeping after this,” he said.
“I still have work.”
“You have one thing left. The rest can wait.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I do because we made the list.”
“You made the list. I supervised.”
“You cried on the couch.”
“I emotionally supervised.”
He smiled, and you felt yourself smile back.
It was small, but it was real.
Later, after you finished the one thing that actually needed to be done, Ohyul closed your laptop before you could find another task to stress over.
“No more.”
“But—”
“No.”
“You’re enjoying this too much.”
“I am enjoying being right.”
“You’re always like this?”
“With you, yes.”
You looked at him, your expression softening in a way that made him suddenly shy. He looked away first, pretending to fix the blanket even though it was already fine.
“Thank you,” you said.
He shook his head. “You don’t have to thank me.”
“I do.”
“No,” he said quietly. “You don’t.”
You swallowed, feeling that familiar sting behind your eyes again, but this time you did not try so hard to hide it.
Ohyul noticed anyway, because of course he did.
He opened his arms slightly, giving you the choice, and you moved into him without a word. He held you carefully, his chin resting lightly near the top of your head, one hand moving in slow, comforting circles against your back.
There was nothing dramatic about it.
No perfect speech.
No magic answer.
Just him.
Just warmth.
Just the steady reminder that you were not alone.
For the first time in days, your body relaxed.
“I’m sorry I made you worry,” you mumbled.
Ohyul’s voice was quiet above you. “Just let me worry a little next time.”
“That sounds weird.”
“It makes sense.”
“Not really.”
“It means I care.”
You closed your eyes. “I know.”
“And it means you don’t have to wait until you’re falling apart to tell me something is wrong.”
You nodded against him.
He held you a little closer. “I like taking care of you too, you know.”
Your voice came out sleepy. “Even when I’m a mess?”
“Especially then.”
“That’s rude.”
“That’s love.”
You were too tired to answer, but he felt you smile against his hoodie.
A little while later, when your breathing evened out and you finally fell asleep, Ohyul stayed right where he was. His arm had gone a little numb, his legs were uncomfortable, and his phone kept buzzing with messages from the members asking for updates.
He answered with one hand.
she’s sleeping
Louis replied first.
FINALLY
Woojin sent a string of clapping emojis.
Ryul wrote,
make sure she eats breakfast tomorrow too
Ohyul looked down at you, curled up against him with the blanket pulled around your shoulders, your face finally peaceful.
He typed back,
i will
Then he put his phone away and rested his head gently against yours.
You had spent so much time being careful with everyone else.
Now it was his turn to be careful with you.

Choi Beomgyu x reader
Genre - fluff
Summary - A relaxing idol group trip turns messy when Beomgyu suddenly gets clingy all day after seeing an interview where you called another idol your ideal type
MASTERLIST
Requests are open!
The trip was supposed to be relaxing.
That was the entire reason everyone agreed to go in the first place. No comeback stages, no dance practices running until three in the morning, no managers panicking over schedules every five minutes. Just a company-sponsored getaway where a bunch of idol groups could “bond naturally” while staff secretly filmed enough content to post over the next six months.
Honestly, nobody minded.
The resort itself looked unreal. Warm lights wrapped around the wooden buildings, the ocean stretched out behind the cliffs, and the air smelled like saltwater and pine trees every time the wind picked up. People were scattered everywhere dragging suitcases around, laughing loudly in oversized hoodies and sweatpants instead of stage outfits.
You had barely stepped into the lobby before someone grabbed your arm dramatically.
“There you are.”
You turned just in time for Beomgyu to lean half his body weight onto you like he’d been abandoned for years instead of twenty minutes.
“You’re late.”
“You texted me while I was still in the van.”
“And?”
“And that’s not late.”
“It felt late.”
You rolled your eyes automatically, but you were already smiling.
Behind him, the rest of TXT watched the interaction unfold with painfully unsurprised expressions.
Soobin sighed dramatically. “He’s been waiting by the door for like ten minutes.”
“I was not.”
“You literally fixed your hair in the glass five times,” Taehyun said immediately.
“That was unrelated.”
Kai grinned at you. “He also asked if his outfit looked okay.”
Beomgyu whipped around. “Traitors.”
You laughed while Yeonjun just shook his head.
“He’s been weird all day. Good luck.”
“I’m not weird.”
“You’re attached to her like a backpack,” Yeonjun replied.
“That’s romantic.”
“That’s concerning.”
You snorted while Beomgyu ignored them completely and grabbed your suitcase handle before you could protest.
That should’ve been your first warning sign.
Usually Beomgyu bounced between people constantly. One minute he’d be bothering Soobin, the next he’d be stealing someone’s phone, then disappearing entirely to annoy another group.
Today?
He stayed glued to your side.
During room assignments, he sat next to you close enough for your knees to touch. At lunch, he stole food directly from your plate while refusing to eat his own. When everyone split into smaller groups to explore the resort afterward, he immediately followed wherever you went without even pretending to care about the destination.
“You know you don’t actually have to come with me everywhere,” you told him while walking through one of the outdoor paths near the water.
“But what if you miss me?”
“It’s been seven seconds.”
“Still dangerous.”
“You’re insane.”
“And yet you continue talking to me.”
Unfortunately, he had a point.
A few feet ahead, Soobin glanced back at the two of you before leaning toward Taehyun.
“He’s doing it again.”
“I know,” Taehyun muttered.
“You think she noticed?”
“She definitely noticed.”
“I have not noticed what?” you asked immediately.
Both of them jumped slightly.
“Nothing,” Taehyun answered too fast.
“Absolutely nothing,” Soobin added.
Beomgyu looked way too pleased with himself.
You narrowed your eyes suspiciously but let it go.
Mostly because the trip itself was fun enough to distract you. Everyone spent the afternoon wandering around the resort, taking pictures, trying random snacks from little beachside shops, and arguing over which movie to watch later that night.
At one point, you ended up sitting on the sand with Kai while he tried unsuccessfully to teach you some random game on his phone.
“You’re terrible at this,” he informed you.
“You invited me.”
“That was my first mistake.”
Beomgyu suddenly dropped onto the sand directly beside you.
“What are we doing?”
“We?” Kai repeated.
“Yes.”
“You were literally gone two seconds ago.”
“And now I’m back.”
Kai looked at you with the exhausted expression of someone who had already accepted defeat.
“He’s clingy today.”
“I’m not clingy.”
“You followed her to get ice cream earlier.”
“She could’ve gotten lost.”
“It was a straight line.”
“Anything can happen.”
You laughed quietly while Beomgyu leaned against your shoulder like he belonged there.
Honestly, nobody reacted anymore.
That was probably the problem.
Everyone was too used to the two of you acting like this.
Even you.
Later that evening, everyone gathered outside near the bonfire pits close to the beach. Music played softly from portable speakers while idols sat around wrapped in blankets and hoodies, eating snacks and talking over each other.
You sat cross-legged near the fire while Yeonjun told some dramatic story about a trainee incident that had everyone laughing.
Halfway through it, your phone buzzed.
You checked it automatically.
One of your members had sent a screenshot with:
“HELP WHY ARE PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT THIS AGAIN 😭”
You frowned slightly.
“What?” Beomgyu asked immediately.
“Nothing.”
“Show me.”
“It’s stupid.”
“That means yes.”
Before you could move the phone away, he grabbed your wrist lightly and looked down at the screen.
Then he froze.
You blinked.
The screenshot came from an interview you’d done weeks ago. One of those quick variety clips where idols answered random fan questions.
Favorite season.
Favorite food.
Ideal type.
And apparently your answer had resurfaced online again.
The subtitles across the screenshot read:
“Someone like Song Mingi seems really attractive.”
Silence.
Then Beomgyu slowly let go of your wrist.
“Oh.”
Your stomach dropped immediately.
“…Gy-
“You think Mingi’s attractive?”
You stared at him.
“That’s your concern right now?”
“You called him your ideal type.”
“In an interview.”
“So?”
“So it’s not serious?”
Beomgyu looked genuinely offended by that answer.
“You still said it.”
From across the fire, Taehyun noticed the expression on Beomgyu’s face and immediately sat up straighter.
“Oh no.”
Yeonjun looked over too. “What happened?”
“He saw the interview clip,” you answered.
The entire TXT table reacted instantly.
Kai gasped dramatically. “THE MINGI ONE?”
“YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS?” Beomgyu asked.
“We all knew,” Soobin admitted.
“You didn’t tell me?”
“We were protecting your mental health.”
You nearly choked laughing while Beomgyu looked personally betrayed.
“This is unbelievable.”
Yeonjun pointed at him immediately. “See? I told you he’d get jealous.”
“I’m not jealous.”
“You’ve followed her around like a lost dog all day,” Taehyun replied.
“That’s unrelated.”
Huening Kai looked genuinely delighted by the chaos unfolding. “Wait this is actually so funny.”
“It’s not funny,” Beomgyu muttered.
“It’s a little funny,” Soobin admitted.
You could physically see Beomgyu getting more embarrassed the longer everyone laughed at him.
Which honestly made the whole thing worse because now his ears were turning red too.
“You’re seriously jealous over an interview answer?” you asked.
“I’m not jealous.”
“You literally are.”
“I just think you answered incorrectly.”
Yeonjun groaned. “He’s so down bad it’s embarrassing.”
“Please never say that again,” Beomgyu replied instantly.
“You’re making it everybody’s problem,” Taehyun added.
Beomgyu ignored all of them and looked back at you instead.
“But why him specifically?”
You blinked.
“…Because he’s attractive?”
Beomgyu looked horrified.
Kai physically fell sideways laughing.
“Oh my god he’s losing.”
“You’re all evil,” Beomgyu muttered.
“You’re obsessed with her,” Yeonjun corrected.
Silence.
A dangerous silence.
Because for once, nobody joked afterward.
Nobody laughed.
Beomgyu stared at the fire for a second before mumbling, quieter this time, “Can you blame me?”
Your heart stuttered so hard it almost hurt.
The members all went suspiciously quiet too.
Taehyun immediately looked away like he suddenly wanted no involvement whatsoever.
Yeonjun mouthed “OH MY GOD” toward Soobin.
You stared at Beomgyu.
He looked like he realized what he’d said the second it left his mouth because he suddenly refused to look directly at you.
And somehow that was worse.
“You know,” you said carefully, “you could’ve just told me you were upset instead of haunting me all day.”
“I was not haunting you.”
“You followed me to get water.”
“What if you slipped?”
“In a hallway?”
“You never know.”
You laughed softly despite yourself.
Beomgyu finally looked at you again, expression calmer now but still weirdly nervous underneath everything.
“I didn’t like hearing you talk about another guy like that.”
The honesty in his voice made your chest tighten.
Especially because Beomgyu almost never sounded genuinely vulnerable.
Usually he covered everything with jokes before anyone could take him seriously.
But right now?
He sounded real.
“No matter who it was?” you asked quietly.
“Obviously.”
The fire crackled softly between conversations around you.
Nobody else interrupted.
Honestly, it felt like the members were all pretending not to listen while absolutely listening.
You looked at Beomgyu for another second before smiling slightly.
“I think you’re attractive too, you know.”
Complete silence.
Then Kai violently slapped a hand over Yeonjun’s mouth before he could scream.
Beomgyu stared at you like his brain completely stopped working.
“…What?”
“You heard me.”
“No I actually need you to repeat it.”
You laughed.
His ears turned red immediately.
“Oh my god,” Taehyun whispered. “He’s blushing.”
“I AM NOT.”
“You absolutely are,” Soobin said.
Yeonjun finally broke free from Huening Kai’s grip. “This is the best day of my life.”
“You guys are so annoying,” Beomgyu groaned.
But he couldn’t stop smiling.
Not even a little.
You looked at him for another second before leaning closer quietly.
“For the record,” you whispered, “next interview maybe I’ll just say my ideal type is an annoying idol who follows me around all day.”
Beomgyu blinked once.
Then grinned so hard it almost looked painful.
Behind him, Yeonjun looked exhausted.
“Great,” he muttered. “Now he’s never gonna shut up.”

The dorm is louder than usual tonight.
Not chaotic, just full. Everyone’s talking over each other, music playing from someone’s phone, snacks scattered across the table. It’s the kind of night where no one really has plans, so everyone ends up in the same room anyway.
You’re sitting on the couch, half turned toward the conversation, laughing at something Heeseung said.
Jay is across the room.
You don’t notice it at first.
You’re too busy talking, responding, getting pulled into different conversations as people move around. It’s easy, comfortable, normal.
Until jake sits down next to you.
Close.
“Wait, what were you saying earlier?” He asks, leaning in a little.
You turn toward him, continuing the conversation without thinking much about it.
Jay notices.
He doesn’t react right away.
He’s leaning against the counter, arms crossed, listening to Jungwon talk about something, but his attention isn’t really there anymore.
It’s on you.
On the way you’re leaning slightly toward someone else. The way you’re smiling, nodding, engaged.
It’s normal.
It shouldn’t bother him.
But it does.
Not in a loud way.
Not in a dramatic way.
Just quiet.
Something shifts in his expression, barely noticeable unless you’re looking for it.
And you’re not.
A few minutes pass.
You’re still talking.
Still laughing.
And Jake leans in again, closer this time, saying something that makes you smile.
That’s when Jay moves.
He doesn’t make it obvious.
Just pushes off the counter, walks over like he was already planning to.
He stops right next to you.
Close enough that your shoulder brushes his.
You look up, a little surprised. “Oh, hi.”
“Hi,” he says, calm.
His voice is normal.
Too normal.
You glance between him and Jake. “What’s up?”
“Nothing.”
He doesn’t move away.
Doesn’t sit down either
Just stands there, close.
Jake shifts slightly, like he’s picking up on something.
Jay doesn’t look at him.
He’s looking at you.
“You’re busy?” he asks.
You blink. “No?”
He nods once.
Then, casually, he reaches down and takes your hand.
Not roughly.
Not even suddenly.
Just like it’s the most normal thing in the world.
“Come here.”
Your heart skips.
“Jay—”
“Just for a second.”
His tone isn’t sharp.
But it’s not playful either.
You let him pull you up.
The room doesn’t really react. A few people glance over, but no one says anything.
Jay leads you a few steps away, not far, just enough to be out of the middle of everything.
You look at him, confused. “What was that?”
“What?”
“You just… pulled me away.”
He shrugs. “Yeah.”
“Why?”
He doesn’t answer right away.
Just looks at you.
There’s something different in his expression now.
Quieter.
Tighter.
“I didn’t like it,” he says finally.
You blink. “Didn’t like what?”
“The way Jake was sitting so close to you.”
Your chest tightens a little.
“Oh.”
He looks away for a second, jaw tightening slightly like he’s debating whether to say more.
Then he exhales.
“I know it’s not a big deal,” he says. “I’m not saying you did anything wrong.”
His voice is steady.
Controlled.
“But I didn’t like it.”
You don’t know what to say for a second.
Because he’s not joking.
He’s not teasing.
He’s being real.
“You could’ve just said something,” you say softly.
“I am saying something.”
“No, I mean earlier.”
He shakes his head. “I didn’t want to make it weird.”
You let out a small breath. “And pulling me away wasn’t weird?”
A faint smile tugs at his lips, but it doesn’t fully reach his eyes.
“…Maybe a little.”
There’s a pause.
The noise from the room fills the space between you, but it feels distant.
“Were you jealous?” you ask quietly.
He looks at you.
Doesn’t hesitate this time.
“Yeah.”
The honesty hits harder than you expect.
You swallow. “You could’ve just said that.”
“I just did.”
You let out a small laugh, shaking your head. “You’re impossible.”
“Probably.”
You look at him for a second longer.
Then, softer, “You didn’t have to pull me away.”
His expression shifts slightly.
“I know.”
“Then why did you?”
He hesitates.
Then steps a little closer.
Not enough to be overwhelming.
Just enough that you feel it.
“Because I wanted you next to me,” he says.
Your heart stutters.
That’s it.
That’s the moment.
No teasing.
No confidence covering it up.
Just honest.
You don’t look away.
“Okay,” you say quietly.
He watches your face, like he’s trying to read your reaction.
“Okay?” he repeats.
“Yeah.”
You take a small step closer.
“So next time,” you add, “just tell me.”
He nods once. “I will.”
A beat passes.
Then his hand finds yours again.
This time slower.
Intentional.
And he doesn’t pull you away.
He just holds it.
“Stay here,” he says.
You glance back at the room, then at him.
“I wasn’t going anywhere.”
“I know.”
His grip tightens just slightly.
“I just want you here.”
You smile, softer now.
“I’m here.”
And this time, he actually relaxes.
Just a little.
Enough for you to notice.

Caught
Pairing - Riki nishimura x reader
Summary - Ni-ki gets caught cuddling you by Sunoo and Jungwon.
Genre - fluff
MASTERLIST
Requests are open!<3
Ni-ki’s room is always a little colder than the rest of the dorm.
You noticed that the first time you came in here, and now it just feels normal. The lights are dim, one lamp on by his bed, everything else soft and quiet. It fits him in a weird way. Calm, but not really. Comfortable, but still a little restless underneath.
You’re lying next to him, half turned into his side, your head resting against his shoulder.
And for once, he’s not talking.
No teasing, no random comments, no trying to get a reaction out of you. Just quiet.
His arm is loosely around you, fingers absentmindedly playing with the sleeve of your hoodie. It’s not something he’s even thinking about. Just something he does when he’s relaxed.
“You’re being suspicious,” you mumble.
He huffs softly. “How?”
“You’re quiet.”
“I can be quiet.”
“Not usually.”
He shifts slightly beside you, pulling you a little closer without making it obvious. “Maybe I just don’t feel like talking.”
You tilt your head up to look at him. “Or maybe you’re tired.”
“I’m not tired.”
“You are.”
“I’m not.”
You smile a little. “Okay.”
He narrows his eyes at you, but there’s no real heat behind it.
“Don’t start.”
“I didn’t do anything.”
“You’re about to.”
“I’m literally just lying here.”
“Exactly.”
You laugh quietly, settling back into him.
For a second, neither of you says anything.
It’s comfortable.
The kind of quiet that doesn’t feel awkward. Just easy.
His hand shifts from your sleeve to your wrist, lightly tracing over it, then back again like he doesn’t even realize he’s doing it.
“You’re clingy today,” you say.
“I’m not clingy.”
“You are right now.”
“I’m just… here.”
“On top of me.”
“I’m not on top of you.”
“Basically.”
He scoffs, but he doesn’t move away.
If anything, his arm tightens slightly around you.
“See?” you mumble.
“Stop talking.”
“You started it.”
“No, you did.”
“You literally pulled me closer.”
“That doesn’t mean anything.”
You grin. “It means everything.”
He looks down at you, expression unreadable for a second.
Then, quieter, “You talk too much.”
“You like it.”
He doesn’t answer.
Which is answer enough.
You shift a little, getting more comfortable, your leg brushing against his.
He still doesn’t move away.
And for someone who usually acts like everything is a joke, he’s… still.
Soft.
It makes your chest feel weird.
Good, but weird
Then—
The door swings open.
“Ni-ki, are you—”
Sunoo’s voice cuts off mid sentence.
You both freeze.
In the doorway, Sunoo and Jungwon stand there, clearly not expecting what they just walked into.
Which is you.
Curled into Ni-ki’s side.
His arm around you.
Way closer than just friends.
There’s a beat of silence.
Then Sunoo’s expression slowly changes.
“Oh.”
Jungwon blinks. “…Oh.”
Ni-ki doesn’t move.
For half a second, he just stares at them like his brain hasn’t caught up yet.
Then suddenly, he pulls his arm back like he got burned.
“What are you doing,” he says quickly, voice sharper than before.
Sunoo raises an eyebrow, already stepping further into the room. “We were going to ask if you wanted to play, but now I’m kind of more interested in this.”
“Don’t,” Ni-ki says immediately.
Jungwon leans against the doorframe, clearly entertained. “Since when do you sit this quietly with someone?”
“We weren’t doing anything,” Ni-ki replies, way too fast.
You bite your lip to stop yourself from smiling.
Sunoo notices.
Of course he does.
“Oh, you definitely were,” he says, pointing between the two of you. “Look at his face.”
Ni-ki turns to you for a second, then back to them. “My face is normal.”
“It’s not,” Jungwon says.
“You’re literally red.”
“I’m not red.”
“You are.”
“I’m not.”
Sunoo grins, walking closer. “Nikiiiiiii, why are you embarrassed?”
“I’m not embarrassed.”
“You are,” Sunoo repeats, tilting his head. “This is so cute.”
“Stop calling it cute.”
“Why? You’re cuddling.”
“We are not cuddling.”
You raise an eyebrow. “We kind of are.”
Ni-ki turns to you so fast. “Whose side are you on?”
“Mine,” you say, trying not to laugh.
Sunoo claps once, delighted. “Oh this is even better.”
Jungwon nods. “We should’ve come earlier.”
Ni-ki groans, dragging a hand down his face. “Can you both just leave?”
“No,” Sunoo says immediately.
“We haven’t even asked you yet,” Jungwon adds.
“Asked what?”
“If you want to play.”
Ni-ki doesn’t even hesitate. “No.”
Sunoo gasps. “You didn’t even think about it.”
“I am thinking about it. The answer is no.”
Jungwon crosses his arms. “You always play.”
“Not today.”
“Why?”
Ni-ki opens his mouth.
Closes it.
Then gestures vaguely toward you. “I’m busy.”
The second it leaves his mouth, he freezes.
Sunoo’s smile widens slowly. “Busy?”
Jungwon lets out a quiet laugh. “With what?”
Ni-ki glares. “Can you not do this right now.”
“Do what?” Sunoo asks innocently.
“You know what.”
Sunoo glances at you, then back at him. “You’ve never said you were busy before.”
“Because I wasn’t.”
“And now you are?”
“Yes.”
“With them?”
Ni-ki’s ears are visibly red now.
“Just get out,” he says, trying to sound annoyed, but it’s not landing the way he wants.
Jungwon pushes off the doorframe, clearly enjoying this way too much. “Okay, okay. We’ll leave.”
Sunoo doesn’t move. “Wait, I have one more question.”
“No.”
“Do you like—”
“GET OUT.”
Ni-ki grabs a pillow and throws it at him.
Sunoo dodges it easily, laughing. “Okay, okay, we’re going.”
Jungwon shakes his head, smiling as he steps out. “We’ll talk about this later.”
“No, you won’t.”
“Oh, we will.”
Sunoo backs out last, still grinning. “Have fun being busy.”
The door closes.
Silence.
For a second, Ni-ki just sits there, staring at it.
Then he exhales, dropping his head back against the wall.
“…They’re so annoying.”
You can’t hold it in anymore. You laugh.
“Don’t laugh.”
“I’m sorry,” you say, still smiling. “Your face was so red.”
“It was not.”
“It was.”
He turns to you, narrowing his eyes. “You’re not helping.”
“You told them you were busy with me.”
He freezes.
“…I didn’t mean it like that.”
You tilt your head. “Then how did you mean it?”
He looks at you.
Actually looks at you.
And for once, there’s no teasing in it.
“…I don’t know,” he mutters.
You smile a little, softer this time.
“That’s okay.”
He studies your face for a second longer, like he’s trying to figure something out.
Then, without saying anything, he shifts closer again.
His arm goes back around you.
Not hesitant this time.
Just… natural.
“You’re still staying,” he says quietly.
You nod. “Yeah.”
“Good.”
You settle back into him, the room quiet again like before.
Except now it feels different.
Warmer.
And when his hand finds your sleeve again, absentmindedly playing with it like earlier, you don’t point it out this time.
Because you don’t think he’d let go now.
Even if someone walked in again.
