One of the things I really like about season two of Heartstopper (and the comics in general) is the emphasis on Nick not “owing” people his sexuality. It’s completely up to him, it’s his decision if and when he comes out. There’s a lot of “you don’t owe them this information” going on this season, and I love it. Most shows have a coming out episode where it’s kind of implied that the character has to come out, but they don’t. This is why queer stories written by queer people work so well
