BEFORE LYNA HAD HER HEART RIPPED OUT OMG ://// I actually think that Mia was probably gone for all of that and so yeah, the last time she met Lyna she actually had a soul. ;DDD 

HAHAH, Mia’s like well I could have, yeah, but this way I have control over my life and I can follow my sister wherever she goes. I feel like Mia never felt ~trapped growing up or anything, but now that she’s left I think she feels free, somehow and she never wants to go back to that, but I feel like she’d have a harder time explaining how she feels to Lyna who is all about ambition and Mia is the opposite of this haha. 

But Lyna being all nonjudgemental about the wystan girls would actually mean E V E R Y T H I N G  to Mia, b/c I think they both get wTF looks all the time and yeah Mia can shrug it off, but it’s nice when she doesn’t have to. 

ANyway, yeah i can def see them having fun times together as kids, too. And obviously Mia is SUPER close with her own sister, but I think there were (obviously) things she didn’t really do with Gresilda (like talk about gowns and needle work and stuff like that and probs enjoyed hanging with Lyna when she did her ~girl things).

Tbh Lyna would be like, “...weird, but ok,” basically about Mia’s choice to not wed and follow her sister around (Lyna’s personally just as likely to see if she can actually get Rowlin to declare war on her own sister lbr)  But anyway I don’t think she’d really care or judge she’s just like, “Not what I’d do but whatever not everyone can be as cool as me” ;DDDD  jk jk but you get the idea she’s basically like, “Hey, you do you.” 

And tbh she may be a little relieved bc if Mia were here to steal Lyna’s man or something (really anything v ambitious bc Lyna’s gon be the big cheese in the north, bitches ~Lyna definitely), Lyna would make it her personal mission to destroy Mia and she does like Mia so she’s glad she doesn’t have to do that, basically.  Not to mention, it also means she can focus on sinking her claws in Rowlin and distancing him from everyone else.

So, I’m sure that these two would have known each other growing up in the west to noble families plus they are like a year and a half apart and I feel like they saw a lot of each other?? idk what Lyna would think of Mia but I cry b/c they are going in totally opposite directions in life hahaha. 

I feel like Mia would have liked Lyna (as long as she never heard her say anything bad about her sister b/c that’s like one line you don’t cross with Mia).

OMG I can soooo see them having been friends ~back in the day!!  Esp b4 Lyna had her heart ripped out of her chest, I can see her viewing Mia as a younger sister sort and them having fun times.  Ofc, then Lyna’s life exploded into a firestorm and her personality followed suit soooo ;DDDD  But, I feel like almost immediately she went North and, between Mia’s wandering Aragoth and Lyna’s own travels, they probs haven’t seen each other in awhile, yeah?  I feel like she’d def be nonplussed by Mia’s life choices tho.  “Couldn’t you have just gotten yourself engaged to a Northern lord and reunited that way??????” ~Lyna’s internal dialogue probs

And yeah, I don’t see her speaking out against Gresilda.  I think she thinks it’s a really weird ambition, but she’s glad Gresilda set her sights on something and achieved it so yeah *shrugs*

Rowlin is def my ideal husband idk what you are talking about. ;DDDD Anyway, I think that basically Lyna’s best bet to manipulate Rowlin is to stroke his ego A LOT and whenever she wants him to do something, make it seem like it’s his idea and not her’s (he doesn’t like people who are smarter than he is and he def doesn’t want that in a wife). 

All that being said, I think he’s weirdly happy to have a ~friend?? idk if friend is the right word, but someone who seems to genuinely (hahahaHAHAHAHA) agree with him b/c while I think he def gets a kick out of being able to control other ppl and making them do things they don’t want to do, it’s kinda nice that she seems to be on his side?? Still, I do think that it won’t last and eventually he will get tired and annoyed with her and yay! Lyna what a happy life she will lead …

HAHAHAHAH I def think she's v good at that and she's in an ideal place timing wise bc he's chafing at Lucian's stronghold over him and Lyna has empowering ~sounding things to say and I feel like she def fosters that ~rivalry to kinda cut him off from that and also put herself in the light of champion.  But she also

HAHAHAHAH that def makes sense!  And I can totally see her playing into that pr well, at least at first (idk how long you can maintain that realistically but she'll give it her best shot).  I think she's v good at obfuscating and like laying any ~blame at Lucian's door, if she's looking for change.  Like, "It's too bad that Lord Lucian let's that horrible man of Renfry's lurk about but I feel safe knowing you are here to keep anything bad from happening to me," or whatever like if it's a problem, it's Lucian's and she's looking forward to when Rowlin can fix it, basically to both sort of put another layer between Rowlin and Lucian and also to keep her from EVER saying anything against Rowlin.  I think she knows better than to do that hahahaha  And I think she takes every opportunity to compliment or commend him and basically show that she's the adoring little fiancee in need of his strong arm to support her or whatever hahahaha  And she'll also do things like put a complaint into a question, like she's confused, instead of point the finger and like yeah I think she's v careful in how she deals with him, basically.  She strokes his pride and highlights his intelligence and yeah

That's so sad :((((  But tbh she's happy to be ~whatever he wants her to be, yknow?  And I think she picks up on that and she's basically there to be his little cheerleader and worm her way in, that way.  And yeah, I def don't think she can keep that up for life, esp when Lucian's no longer there to blame (like how H8 and Anne's marriage collapsed after Catherine of Aragon died) but I think she def won't know until it's way too late hahahaha and yeahhhh #funtimesalert  But yeah, until then, she's always on his side (and possibly gently nudging him thereby closer to the side she ACTUALLY wants to support tbh) and yeah #facepalm  Btw, I know she's only recently arrived in the North, but do you think they've been engaged for a long time/do you think their marriage date is set?  That sort of thing...hahahah

Annie can darn a sock (s/o to you Aunt Isolde) and I think she’d be more than willing to do anything Lyna wanted/needed her to do. I feel like she’s honestly a great multi-tasker and I think she’s been known to tend the fires or scrub the floors upstairs when they are short handed/the kitchens aren’t as busy. 

I feel like she would be think that Lyna is stunning and kinda mysterious since she’s from the west and Annie’s like “oooohhhhh” basically b/c I feel like she’s never been out of Blaminster before and yeahhhh. Also, I think she may have seen how she is with Rowlin and she’s like WOW b/c I feel like she can kind of get him to back down sometimes??? And Annie’s like ~actual goddess. 

I mean, she obvi knows her on a v superficial level, but I think she’s feeling better about Rowlin ruling them if she’s gonna be his lady.

Hmmm, tbh, Lyna would loooove having a fan she'd be totally flattered and all 'that's right I AM all that you may kiss my ring now'  Although I feel like she'd be much more gracious about it outwardly.  Esp if Annie's looking at her all ~heart eyes~ I can see Lyna taking a kind of liking to her, esp in light of Annie's greater share of duties (which might cause them to run into each other more) bc she doesn't have a lady's maid, or whatever, of her own.  And she's been an underestimated daughter, herself, so she knows something about how Annie may feel. 

But also, Lyna isn't cruel in her heart of hearts, she's just hardening her heart but it's still there, just below the surface.  Also, it's not purely charity.  It pays to be kind to people.  They're more likely to reciprocate that way and Lyna knows she can use as many friends as she can get - and sometimes the invisible ones, such as the staff - are the best kind of ally there is.  So, yeah.

But Lyna's still looking out for #1, first and foremost.  I think she's much less concerned with being a good Lady of the North than she is with climbing that ladder.  But that being said, she'd ~rather be a good one, that is just much lower on her list of priorities than it probably should be.  Hahahaha!  I think she'd def be happy to talk about home bc she's secretly shhhhh a tad homesick so she'd be happy to talk about it while Annie darns that sock and then sweep off looking majestic the second it's done as if to prove that talking about home meant nothing to her #facepalm  Yeah, I feel like if anyone can get Rowlin to relent, it probs is Lyna?  But I think part of that is also bc she's good at picking her battles???  So there's that????  Hahhah

OMG dANyl would LEGIT be like “THIS IS THE GREATEST THING” b/c she is new there and he’d probs even say something like “i’m one of lord stafford’s most trusted servants” or something idk (he doesn’t always think ahead) but basically he WOULD get her to just HAND OVER HER NECKLACE b/c he’s gonna ~polish it HAHAHAHA.

Take My Soul | Lyna & Renfry

Lyna was a vain woman, but her arrogance was born of a certain practicality.  Beauty was merely another weapon in her arsenal and she was poised to draw.  Lynessa had written her of the fashions in the Capitol and Lyna had painstakingly reproduced them, with a few particular tweaks all her own.  The deep blues of the dress suited her and she cocked an appreciative brow at her own reflection before turning out for the evening.

Lord Lucian Moran was hosting one of his dinners for the family and, tedious as they were, she felt certain that with a stolen appreciative glance or two - held just long enough for him to notice - at Rowlin paired with her glamor, she would have his full attention, even if Lord Moran connived to place her far away, again.  The haughty man made plenty of excuses - there were so many Stafford boys and so few ladies to spread around, or it was indelicate for lovers to be too often in one another's company before marriage...but whatever the reason he put forth, Lyna liked to think her hold on Rowlin simply made the supercilious prude nervous and if there was one thing Lyna loved, it was disappointing men like Lucian Moran.

Taking the assigned seat at table, she cast her eyes upon her dining companion with a barely concealed cringe.  Still, she managed a smile for Renfry Moran.  "Good evening, my lord," she greeted as she sank into the seat beside him.  Renfry was a mystery to her - and an uncomfortable one, at that.  Lyna had begun to believe that staying this far North for too long seemed to do something to the mind.  Renfry was a leading example.  "How fairs Lady Moran?" she inquired, politely, quickly glancing around to see if Renfry's manservant were also about.

I feel like their relationship will be v interesting?? Like, Sysley will not be fooled by Lyna for a second. She sees that she is playing his nephew pretty much immediately, I think. She’s basically lost everyone that she really loved (for the most part?? Like, there are 1.5 million staffords basically, but the ones she was really close to all died and she’s like ugh why are the idiot ones still alive???) And anyway, I think she’s a very good judge of character b/c 1) oldest character in the rp (do ppl even live this long in aragoth idk) and 2) she basically spends her time watching other people and I think she can figure most ppl out pretty quickly, especially young!people. 

All that being said, she really doesn’t blame her like her nephew is cOMPLetely horrible and hey she’s able to manipulate him so gold stars for her. 

I still think that she will be kinda wary of Lyna b/c she sees that she’s super ambitious and also Sysley loves gossip and she has definitely heard all of the juicy details from Lyna’s past and knows that climbing the ladder is basically all she has and yeah, Sysley def understands that, but she’s also seen what ambition can do to you if you let it and I think she sees Lyna as having the potential to control it or having it control her and yeahhhh.

HAHAHAHAAH I feel like the life expectancy in Aragoth is probs 32 and that's not bc of disease or doctors or anything, it's just legit rampant murder ;DDDD  And then there's Sysley and they're like "Why does she look like a prune?  Have you ever seen a woman with white hair before????" bc they've literally never seen an old person before ;DDDDDD

I think Lyna's initial intent would be to try and cozy up to a woman like Sysley for alot of reason.  1) She's a powerful figure in the North and yaaaay allies 2) She's known Rowlin his whole life, she could presumably give tips and little prods where needed 3) She's been around the block a couple times and she clearly came out on top so she knows where it's at 4) Sysley is in the unique position of being allied opposition or whatever to Lucian and Lyna would like to navigate that same kind of plain. 

In short, Lyna's inexperienced but she's not dumb and basically anyway you slice it, it's probs better to be on Sysley's side than in her line of fire.  That being said, she'd be more than willing to turn on her if Sysley proves unwilling to play ball, so to speak.  Lyna is pr single minded and she's got nothing left to loose and cue that Littlefinger (s/o to Dmitrei) gif/quote: I'd risk everything to get what I want lalala  Lyna so feels him on that.  I'm still figuring out the details, but she's got a lot of Anne Boleyn in her (hahaha I mean what's the connection ;DDDD that's so original, right ;DDDDD) in that she was denied what she wanted bc she wasn't deemed ~good enough to have it so she's like "fuck that I'll show you just what I can do" so she went in for an even bigger prize than the one she'd been denied and, as soon as she had the chance, she cast down Wolsey and took all that he held dear and changed the course of English history forever bc he told her "no," and I mean, I don't think Lyna's as skilled as Anne Boleyn, tbh, but whatevs. 

A GIRL CAN TRY and that's exactly what she means to do  AND NO CLUE HOW I GOT ON THIS RANT lalala ANYWAY *waves hands frantically* SHED LIKE TO BE FRIENDS BUT SHED BE CONTENT TO BE ENEMIES TOO IF IT COMES TO THAT.  That being said, she's not looking to make enemies necessarily, so she won't be pushing that angle - but she does have claws, if she needs them.  In the mean time, she'd also be cool w a happy neutral, but she won't have anyone stand in her way, if it can be helped.

Bc I think Lyna will figure out pr quickly that Sysley isn't really buying what she's selling and then she'll turn her wits to watching sharply and determining how to proceed.  I think, mostly, she'd be watching to figure out what motivates Sysley bc I think she does at least know - from her own personal experience at least - that you can 1) predict what someone will do if you know why and 2) earn their friendship if you can promise them that thing.

I KNOW. I’M SO INTO THIS. BC LYNESSA HAS NO HEART, BUT EVEN ~SHE’LL BE LIKE: “…..BUT SHE’S MY FRIEND?????????” before, y’know, sending the dragon she doesn’t (currently!!!) have to burn Emylyna to a bacon-y crisp. ;DDDD ~BIFFLES 5EVAAAAA.

but oh man, Lynessa would totally understand her struggle, even tho her ascent is motivated by completely different things? Like Lynessa is here for power in order to protect the like… three people she cares about (possibly four if you count Mitri, but she’s probs gonna kill him eventually so not really. ahahahaha LOVE U MITRI.) But at the same time it’s that she believes it’s her destiny and responsibility to rule and to watch over everyone in the land. I think there’s a lot of times when Lynessa is alone that she just thinks to herself that “I was born without a heart so that I may rule justly. It is not a loss. It is a gift.” bUT AT THE SAME TIME SHE FEELS KINDA BAD THAT SHE HAS NO FEELINGS??!?!?!? LYNESSA MY PRECIOUS FLOWER, U ARE SO COMPLICATED. UGH.

I could totally see Lynessa confiding something like that to Emylyna though? Like especially when they were younger, when statements like “I have no heart, so I must be destined to be queen” could be passed off as fancy instead of like…. actual legit war plans???

And yeah! I like the idea of them being like serious LIFELONG friends. And tbqh, Emylyna coming along right after Rowena has taken over and killed a large swath of Lynessa’s family would be p much the OPTIMAL time to make friends with her. haha. She’d have been…. not frantic for connections, but i guess more… receptive to new people? Plus, I think when she was younger, Lynessa was less adept at controlling her mask, so it’d be obvious whether she liked you or not, and she’d see a lot of herself in Emylyna, which would attract her INSTANTLY.

Oh man, visits from the west would be Lynessa’s FAAAVE. Like I could see her watching out the windows for Emylyna’s carriage before rushing down to the great hall to receive her all: “thank goodness we’ve finally brought some intelligence and grace into these halls!!” before hugging her and whisking her away to show off all the new fun things about the palace. <3

Tbh, Lynessa's plan is waaaaaay better.  Like, she's got a dragon (even a sickly one trumps none at all - unless she's already duking it out with Dmitrei atp and he's taken it??????), she's got a dark sorceress (Avelina), she's got an army, an income, prosperous lands of her own...and Emylyna has capricious Rowlin's ear (and thereby some level of access to his power, wealth, and army) - at the moment.  HAHAHAHAHA  Plus, I mean Lynessa's fighting for her family and Lyna's fighting to prove herself - meaning Lyna started out with some level of doubt.  HAHAHAHA  Lyna's pr obv out of her league but that's never stopped her before.  ;DDDDDDD 

UGHHHH LYNESSA and it hurts bc I feel like Avelina - in trying to prepare her for what was to come and give her the armor she'd need to survive - kinda helped do that to her?????  Bc I can see her being all, "You must lock away your heart," basically and like she meant the best, but there're alot of reasons 14 year old Avelina shouldn't have been a mom hahaha

OMGGGGGGG I LOVE IT!!!!!!  Esp bc I can actually see that sticking in her mind and Lyna reminding herself whenever she feels weak that she must be a true queen like Lynessa - heartless.  I mean, yeah, I think she def would've interpreted that as like ~figurative queen like 'powerful lady' type deal.  Plus, I feel like she's v aware of Lynessa's royal blood and like it just felt natural to Lyna that she should use the term.

But still, she would've seen the truth in it and lkJFKDJSAKLFJ but it's also kinda fascinating to me bc I feel like Lyna's probs one of the few ppl who's ever really seen the evidence of Lynessa's heart, yknow?  And part of that, it's this admission.  And I can see Lyna basically looking her eye and being all, "You have a heart, sure enough, but you are - as you must be - it's mistress and therein is your power," basically.  But still, Lyna remembered and remembered to cut out her own heart when the time came.

OMG YASSSS them utterly seeing themselves in each other tho <33333  You know they were the actual queens of the playground ;DDDD  And them going through all the changes of life together.  Can you imagine when they saw each other at teens and had all the boys around the castle wrapped around their fingers hahahahaha
