Hold up, so you're telling me that last year, Scar's team had to enter through a different entrance due to the fact that the Twitch Rivals stage didn't have a ramp...

And instead of fixing that problem that they had and ENTIRE YEAR to fix,

They DIDN'T?!

And the Pink Parrots, who keep in mind won, had to do their intros and receive their prizes IN FRONT of the stage?

And Twitch, who knew for a while in advance that Scar was coming, failed to do anything to assist him and make the stage accessible??

Twitch Con, you guys seriously need to get your act together.

We genuinely need to raise as much awareness about this as we can- ideally we should inform people even outside the MCYT community. Twitch HAS to listen to us if we get loud and angry and mean about this. Something needs to change NOW.

i was at mcc live. the pink parrots were also the only team not to enter from the stage bc of the lack of a ramp. it's why they entered from the back and passed through the audience

there was also an award show at 'half time' during which the hermits won an award, and they were the only group that didn't go on stage bc they didn't have a ramp

toward the end of the games, they had all participants go on stage for a skit thing... except Scar (and a few of the others who decided to hang out with him instead of going up, though i heard staff tried to convince those people to leave Scar and go on stage)

there were three moments, even outside of accepting the MCC win, in which they knew Scar was supposed to be on stage, and they did not give him any ability to actually get on stage

Honestly not to bring down the moment, but Twitchcon really needs to work on accessibility. Scar’s team can’t walk out on the stage because of the lack of ramp, the Hermits couldn’t go on stage to get their award, and then his team couldn’t go on stage to get their crowns for winning. How hard would it be to just have a damn ramp when you know one of your competitors, and one you’re going to give an award to, is in a wheelchair?

Something I love in roleplay heavy Minecraft smps is the fact that no one is a professional voice actor. Everyone just sounds like a basic gamer, a completely real person. They all talk like regular people but with 100% commitment to the roleplay in game. So you can have like a Roman emperor like character who just sounds like some 30 something year old IT worker and you just go with it. Or a anime type villain who sounds like a 20 something year old nerd that stumbles on his words and stutters frequently but is also like the most feared and loathed character in universe and in fandom. Voice acting does not really matter in this scene

Something about it is so endearing to me, adds a kind of “realism” to it (which sounds a bit absurd for talking about MINECRAFT roleplay) but there is a certain charm to how not like fictional characters the players all sound like. I think it adds a lot to the overall experience.

#however i think there’s also the reverse effect that many of the more popular creators have very unique voices too #still untrained. just against the grain #the more bright and engaging/distinct your voice is the easier it seems to gain popularity #<- prev tags
