One thing I think we do not focus enough on in discussion about 17776 (and one of my favorite aspects of the story) is how the probes are not human. As much as they bicker, play and talk like a group of people would, they are fundamentally different.
They do not belong anywhere or to anyone anymore, and they barely did in the first place. JUICE, Despite joking about being french, does not at all belong to french culture or people -- Bois describes him as "southern". His personality and understanding of the world is built around information taken in passively and unconsciously over thousands of years. This goes for the other two as well, especially Nine
They do not have bodies. They'll never touch or feel or smell. They have never and will never have common human experiences- delights or inconveniences. The common human experiences they spend their lives making commentary on, they are almost entirely disconnected from !!!
Ten makes a comment about how she likes having things that can help her relate more to people. Juice has his game. Nine has their data from before they woke up...Their family. All three of them can relate to the current feeling of aimlessness in humanity
Satellites are surveyors, they represent inherent disconnect from the world. You are a watcher, not a contributor. You are a symbol of our identity as a nation. You are not your own person.
Which makes them the perfect protagonists here. A third party trying to explain humanity and what makes humans human to another non-human !!!!
Jupiter with the Great Red Spot
Jupiter reaches its 2026 opposition today, January 10. That puts our Solar System's most massive planet opposite the Sun and near its closest and brightest for viewing from planet Earth. In fact, captured only 3 days ago this sharp telescopic snapshot reveals excellent details of the ruling gas giant's swirling cloudtops, in light zones and dark belts girdling the rapidly rotating outer planet. Jupiter's famous, persistent anticyclonic vortex, known as the Great Red Spot, is south of the equator at the lower right. But two smaller red spots are also visible, one near the top in the northernmost zone, and one close to Jupiter's south pole. And while Jupiter's Great Red Spot is known to be shrinking, it's still about the size of the Earth itself.

It's not easy being the hottest space probe out there.
Imma be honest. I have no idea how, or why did I decide the cowboy style (+ meow meow) for Parker. It just popped up in my head and I went along with it. Doesn't look that bad tbh?
A colored version will be posted along with Solar Orbiter's reference. I need to keep up the duo character sheet streak.
Since the probe's size is pretty modest it's only natural I give him a smaller body type. Besides do not touch the whiskers, he'll rip you to shreds.
Also - sorry for the hiatus guys. I was going through problems that has to do with my mental health and I couldnt get myself to draw for a while</3 but here I am! I sorry for the wait everypony..
