guys do you fw my peter wiggin mini design or is this a stupid ass take 🙏🏻 book says he has dark tousled hair and I was like??? ender is blonde how does that work?? so i gave him dirty blonde hair, dark in comparison to ender’s hair. wiggin’s genes when i get you wiggin’s genes shakes fist

so yea the hair color for the wiggin siblings are more then possible looking at the genetic pool of their parents (blonde and brown hair are common in both parents ancestral background if we base it off of geography)

also also the symbolism regarding the hair colors of the 3 siblings

blonde is ender

light brown is val

dark hair is peter

it's basically repeating the idea that Val is the connection between the 2 and also the metal inbetween the 2 sides of the coin.

also a general idea of purity and a sense of innocence with brighter lighter hair, as it does darken with age

it also might add to show how young ender is in the story itself

maybe ender has light brown hair by the time he's vals age when we get a concrete vocabulary for her hair

maybe when we first saw her in the books her hair was also blonde and it's just that as she grew up she got closer to peter

many possible interpretation of symbolism there

I personally think Peter box dyes his blonde hair dark brown because he thinks it makes him look more mature so I don't know why my brain was so eager to confront you but that's basically it

might be wrong tho but that was one of my headcanons that I shared

I agree full heartedly with the idea of both Valentine and Ender’s hair darkening over time, the way you explained your reasoning for that was perfect, and I feel that both interpretations of the possible symbolism are equally possible!! I think the link of hue to maturity makes a lot of sense to me and personally I feel I might integrate that into my inner visuals for the characters :)

Also I love the idea that Peter box dyes his hair to appear more mature, that seems very fitting for him honestly 😭🙏🏻 on this btw it was probably you actually and that’s so funny 😭😭😭
