JOMP BPC | May 28: Books in a Bag
My Sunday 🥰
Started my morning with a cup of warm earl grey tea and picked up on the chapter where I left off last night, with the sound of rain pouring madly against the tin roof and the feel of cold breeze that seeps through the small crevice on my window.
reviewsium I’ve been pretty busy with work last week, I took the train to go to a nearby city but I could travel together with Goethe and Kafka’s short stories I’m really enjoying. Next weeks I’m gonna place the next bookmail order and I was thinking of getting another classic, of course, maybe Mrs Dalloway, a new notebook for writing purpose, and a nonfiction also. @bloomsburypublishing has kindly gifted me a copy of Louise Kennedy’s debut collection of Irish short stories, The End of The World is a Cul De Sac, I totally recommend !
wednesday july 1 2020
i cannot believe it’s july! one of my goals is to finish this book, hopefully i can by the end of the week. i wish nothing but success and happiness for whoever is reading this 🤍🌿
If you wouldn't go to someone for advice, don't take their criticism either.
Wait whoa
op woke up and chose logic today and idk how i feel about that

unfortunately enough half of our team abandoned us while we worked on our internship project, and since all of us were antisocial, I had to present for my group, I thought I'd faint. I survived. Fumbled a shit ton, but I'm proud of me. So the first assignment of the project was a success I guess!
“yes, I’ve been wanting to read that!” I say with complete earnestness, as I proceed to ignore every opportunity I have to read it
I’m at the bookstore. I’m at the museum gift shop. I’m at the combination bookstore and museum gift shop
milf (motivation i’d like to find)
Monday mornings are literally the hardest and I don't want to deal with any responsibilities whatsoever, but we got this 😤

just reading today
there isn’t much happening atm but just me watching aesthetic study vlogs all day long. i’ve also managed to accomplish the following:
finished all my pending journal reviews
paid current month’s credit card bill
ordered new bed sheet with floral design
started reading another dostoyevsky story
i plan to save up enough money thru my part-time writing job so i can buy a new gadget that i’ve been eyeing on since i got addicted to watching study vlogs, haha!
17/100 days of productivity | 17.05.2021
I finished all the texts for after break! so tomorrow the term paper grind begins... I'm a bit scared because I feel so unqualified in linguistics, but it'll be fine. I just have to start and I'll work it out somehow. first I have to read through my mountain of research I can panic after that
things I did today:
read for English prep
read for poetry class
diagnosis lecture
linguistics lecture
yes i annotate my books & say really smart things [draws hearts and frowny faces when called for]
#younger me “books are a shrine that must be preserved” vs older me “books are a shrine that must be lived in” @amaranthie so true
I've said this before and I'll say it again: it's more important to know and understand fully why something is harmful than it is to drop everything deemed problematic. It's performative and does nothing. People wonder why nobody has critical thinking skills and this is part of it because no one knows how to simousltansly critique and consume media. You need to use discernment.
This is ultimately why propaganda is going to work on you. Because you never learned how to think for yourself and the actual ideology behind things. You simply rely on group think and the bare minimum explanations to tell you what's good and bad.
