Ace's new blog

I made Ace's new blog last night/this morning, so you should all follow them on @energeticstress ! The about pages (especially the relationships page) are still under construction, I'm going to be perfecting and adding to them as soon as I can get on my laptop. All threads can continue on over there, too! I'm really excited for Ace to finally have their own account. This one will still be here but it won't be active at all. Hello, lovelies! I’m gonna get off for now, but it’s because I’m making Ace their own blog instead of keeping them on a side blog. I’m not sure how long Evan will be on hiatus or if I’m even going to pick her back up. I’m still deciding on that, it has more to do with how I’m feeling on all the drama going on with everything. I’m not sure. But I’m tired of keeping Acey face on a side blog and having to switch the blog I’m posting to all the time. So I’ll be back a little bit later!

James walks over his long rabbit ears flopped back, shaking slightly.

Ace did their best not to intimidate the bunny-person, eyes wide as they looked at him. He was so fucking cute they just wanted to pet those big floppy ears... But, no. No, nope, they had to show him that they wouldn’t freak out. They wanted to, but they wouldn’t. “Hey, you alright? You’re shakin’, dude...” Their voice was full of concern as they looked the other over.

Ace barked a laugh and shook their head, “nah, man! S’all in good fun. Y’really think I would rough up a cutie like you that badly?” They asked, running a hand through his hair and messing it up playfully. “Not to mention I don’t know what I would do without my new roommate buddy.”

“I’unno about another color though, dude. I’ve been dyin’ it green ever since high school. Kinda feels like a part’a me,” they explained, looking up at some of the green locks that had fallen into their face. Green was always their favorite color, and changing it up would be difficult. Maybe they would, but they weren’t exactly sure. But they could see where it might have been weird for him, as they did look almost exactly like his brother; they’d never met Sean, but they’d heard a little about him and had seen pictures. 

“I’m always down for pizza and chill, though. You know me so well,” they purred, moving to the couch and plopping down onto it.

Daniel couldn’t help but blush but then laughed. “I know, I’m good at paying attention.” He texted Dominos and plopped down on the couch beside Ace. “Just two single friends, living it up in a nice ass apartment.” He sighed and sat back, glad the couch was comfortable.

“Hey, Ace. Do you have any crushes on anyone? I got a crush on an Irish friend of mine. They’re pretty cool, though I worry about their health sometimes. I don’t want them dying on me early or anything. But, I don’t wanna piss them off and say something wrong even though I just wanna help. I mean they do all kinds of drinking and smoking and I worry that they’ll drink themselves to death or just die one day. I know I shouldn’t talk about them like this behind their back but I just worry about them and I love them like mad.”

He let out a small sigh. He hoped he hadn’t given away the fact that it was Ace he was talking about, but if they figured it out, they hoped they understood how much he loved them. He rubbed his eyes, seeing the pizzas would be on their way to the apartment in about twenty-five minutes.

Single, yeah; and hopefully Ace could keep it like that. They were starting to like Daniel a bit, though. It was hard not to. But they knew themself well enough to know that relationships were a load of anxiety no amount of pot could contain. Plus, they really didn’t want to make things awkward between the two of them, and it seemed as if Daniel had his eyes on someone else. The dude they were talking about sounded sort of like themself, but they weren’t Irish, so it couldn’t have been them. Sure, they had Irish in them, but they were from Illinois. Probably the opposite of Ireland, really.

Shrugging, they looked up at the ceiling as they spoke, “I mean... I ain’t good lie, I kinda do have my eye on someone, but... I’unno, man. I don’t trust relationships.” They sighed, closing their eyes and shaking their head, “not to say I don’t want one. I do. I think most people do. I just don’t think it was meant to happen for some people. And I jus’so happen to be one of em’ I guess.”

Normally, they would never open up to someone like this. They really didn’t know why they were. Maybe it was how tired they were, but they couldn’t help it. After seeing so many people in their life, who were supposed to stay by their side, leave them... Well, why would they think that anyone was permanent? Even Daniel would leave them one day. They knew that he would. It didn’t feel like anyone could stand being around them for long. A choked, bitter laugh escaped them as they stood to go get Phoenix, their hitter. “Alright, I need to get high.”

Ace felt better when they saw that the other was smiling and threw him a grin of their own as they dug in their pocket for a lighter. When they found one, they lit up and took a drag before speaking, “Name’s Ace. Thanks for the cig, dude, I’m almost out. What’s your name?”

He nodded and smiled more. “My name is Hugh. And no need to thank me. I can get them whenever and without pay so have as many as you want.” -Hugh

Huh. Stealing would be easy for a ghost, wouldn’t it? Ace didn’t know why they hadn’t thought of that before. Even more reason to die, right? They hated their job. As much as they loved playing video games, their manager at Game Stop was one of the biggest assholes they’d ever met. The thought of him alone made them scowl a little, but they quickly brought the smile back and took another drag of their cigarette. “Well, it’s nice t’meet’cha, Hugh. I think this is the beginning of a very good friendship.”

He chuckled. “I do as well. So tell me about yourself. As you know I am a ghost.” -Hugh

“Well... I’m a human, an’ very much alive. I like cats, long walks on the beach...” They laughed and shrugged, “Not much t’really say. What about you?”

"Hello There." A voice spoke slowly, almost cautiously. It was a rather awkward young man awkwardly fidgeting, running his hands shaking through his bright orange hair. His eyes seemed to stare right through Ace, something dark hovering behind them.

Ace eyed the man carefully, then let their gaze travel to the figure behind him. Everything about him set them on edge, and they were going to make sure to be careful with their words; for once in their life, anyways. They gave a slight, upwards nod of their head, “Hey. You alright, dude?”

Ace hid their face against the side of Derrick’s neck, the compliment only making their cheeks darken further. They nervously pulled their hand from his and moved it, instead, to his ass and gave it a little squeeze. “Thanks, but I know what you’re doin’, you lil’ shit,” they huffed. Recently, Ace had been starting to notice that Derrick quite liked making them blush. And it made them nervous, as it didn’t seem like the only reason they enjoyed it was that it embarrassed them. It seemed more romantic, and the little things he did like holding their hand seemed to only support that suspicion. They had to admit that they were starting to feel something, too; but they were determined not to act on it at all. They didn’t want to have to run from him, but they would if they had to

Lyonia frowned, looking back at her sleek red tail and brushing her hands along her same colored ears. "Ace. Don't look at me like that..." She mumbled.

“How could I not? You’re so fuckin’ cute, holy shit! How’d this even happen?!”

“I-I don’t know. I just kinda…woke up and these were here…” She huffed, turning around in a circle a few times to get a better look at her tail. “Weird…” Lyonia mumbled.

“Weird, yes. Cool? Fuck yes.” They grinned wide and flicked one of her ears gently. “If I could trade places with you, your ass knows I would in a god damn heart beat.”

Feeling them flick one of her ears made her gasp and blush rather heavily. “A-Ace…gentle…” Lyonia stammered, the top of her tail twitching.

Ace smirked wickedly when they saw her reaction, their thick brows rising as they chuckled, “little bit sensitive, hm?” They didn’t think they could do anything with her while she was like that. It wouldn’t really feel right. But they would have no trouble teasing her, that was for sure. No trouble whatsoever.

“Very…very sensitive…” She muttered, furrowing her brows at them. “Ace…I know what’s going through that head of yours…Don’t you dare…” Lyonia stuttered, backing up slightly.

Do you really think I’m that bad?” They asked, their faux-offended tone ruined by the shit-eating grin on their face. “I would ne-- I would never do anything to purposely get on your nerves,” they said as their finger ran playfully along the fur of one of her cat-ears.

Daniel carried in the last of the boxes from the movers truck, setting them down beside the door. “Okay, Ace! All of our boxes are now in the house. Now we just gotta unpack everything. Wanna have takeout tonight?” He asked his friend, smiling over at them. I was thinking pizza and soda, and maybe after we’re all unpacked we can get stoned and watch Deadpool. He chuckled, thinking that would make the movie even funnier than when you aren’t stoned.

Ace peeked up from behind the couch they had been lying behind. Being a smoker made things much more difficult at times, especially when it came to physical activity. Like carrying heavy objects up flights of stairs. But, of course, the moment Daniel said anything about food and getting high, they were suddenly revived. “You know I do,” they almost sang, a big, goofy grin taking over their expression. “Yes to everything– well, everything but unpacking. I’ll eat on this heavy ass couch. We deserve it.”

“It’s fine, I can unpack the heavy shit. You unpack your shit.” Daniel said with a small laugh. “You’re gonna die before your fifty, Ace!” He began unpacking the living room, so they’d have somewhere to sit when he ordered pizza and would be able to watch the movie while they got high and ate. “I’ll make sure to pie like four boxes so when we get the munchies we don’t fucking kill each other.” He laughed. “And brownies. Because yummy goodness.” He plugged in the TV and the Blu-Ray, deciding he’d hook up the Playstation later on.

“Hopefully,” Ace muttered under their breath with a chuckle, shaking their head. The reason they’d started smoking in the first place was that they’d been trying to die. The sooner the better, in their mind. 

But, with the hope that Daniel hadn’t heard what they said, they stood up and stretched before walking over to their friend. “Good idea, man. I don’t know if you would have a chance in a fight with me anyways, especially one over food,” they said with a wide smirk and a laugh. They had a lot of confidence in their fighting skills; after years of practice and training, there was no reason not to be a little cocky about it.
