LEANING over the counter, Lisanna rolled her eyes at the men crowding the little space that was left of their guild's main hall. It was loud and reeking of alcohol. The entire place suffocating her. It felt like two hands were holding her throat, slowly pressing down on her breathing canal. However, that wasn't out of the ordinary. It was on her daily menu ever since she has returned. That feeling of being out of place both physically and mentally. She was still trying to get used to the fact that not everyone was as miserable as her, even though, most of her friends couldn't tell she was sad.

                       But who in the world had the time to wail? No one.

LIFTING her elbows off the bar, Lisanna hit her palms against the wooden table. It was a manner of determination. She was reassuring herself that she'd continue neglecting her emotions no matter what even though it was to her disadvantage. It was no way near good for her or in any way mature, but she's always been that way.

STOPPING her mindless staring, her head began to observe the people in her surroundings. All of them seemingly enjoying their time here. No one appeared to be out of place beside her and the blue-headed guy that Natsu and his teammates had recently gotten around to introducing to her. He was sitting all by himself, looking over at her, his eyes narrowed with a frown on his face, probably wondering why she had been hitting the counter.

PATTING the man's broad shoulder, the white-headed mage leaned against the counter next to him, gifting him with one of her smiles on her peaceful features which shortly converted into a grimace as she looked over at Elfman and Bixlow having a moment. They were hugging, each holding two cans of spilling beer as Freed glared daggers at them.

TAKING her attention back to her seatmate, Lisanna raised a curious eyebrow as the guild was filled with drunken laughter. Today was nothing out of the ordinary, yet, her distaste in today's overly happy atmosphere caused by alcohol, was at its peak. Maybe, it was because she'd have to carry her brother home in a few hours because of his drunken state or simply because she was a spoilsport like Natsu had called her earlier. Either way, Laxus seemed to be one of the few people left who were left sober or still appeared to be somewhat in control of his own actions and she'd prefer to hang around him than Gray in his Winnie the Poh underwear.

POINTING her fingers at both individuals, Lisanna rolled her eyes as they continued to argue with heads against each other in a similar motion to bulls. They were acting like two bull. They were bulls. And if they were animals, or acting like some at least, she as a take over mage should have been able to tame them. Yeah, well, no, she couldn't. That was simply hopeful thinking. She was lucky, she didn't end up bald when stepping in. Many say opposites attract but that’s nothing but a hoax. Looking at them, Fire and Ice being at each other's throats, was proof enough.

WALKING over to a table nearby where she saw some familiar faces interacting, Lisanna closed her eyes and put on a smile for their guests. But not before hitting both Natsu and Gray over the head, snorting to herself as she wiped her hands off on her trousers. Who knows what kind of insects lived in their hair. Smiling to herself, she sat down next a red-headed beauty, elbowing her in a playful manner.

GIGGLING at her own joke, Lisanna's grin grew bigger. She was sending her seatmate's boyfriend a wink but Lyon did not react in a way that would have amused the mage. He did nothing more than rise his hand in greeting. Boring. Rolling her eyes, she averted her glance from him and back to the woman she was sitting next to as she placed her elbow on the table and put her head on it.

 ❛ so, what are you guys up to?            are you just stopping here                    or is there some secret important meeting between all the cool guilds? ❜

FIVE seconds ago she was complaining about her fellow guild members being insufferable. But, seriously, was she really any better?

Lisanna being the animal-loving person that she is, owns a hedgehog called Nico. She found him on her way home after finishing one of her shifts at the guild kitchen, lying in the rain all helpless. It seemed to be injured and after seeing blood on its spikes, she decided against Mirajane’s house rules of NO ANIMALS ALLOWED (we ourselves make up for a zoo) and brought him along with her. Before that she’d been constantly begging Mira to get a pet, though, her sister always refused to do so, saying that Lisanna would just want to get more. However, after seeing the injured animal, the oldest Strauss agreed to keep it until it’s healed. As soon as it’s healed, however, it had to be released in the wild again. But that never happened and Lis is and stays the proud owner of Nico The Hedgehog.

SIGH. Crossing her hands over her chest, Lisanna lowered her head in a dramatic motion. Having two overprotective, overbearing and overly touchy siblings was hard on its own. Here she sat again, with another one of her guild members treating her like a child. After everything that had happened in her past, everyone has taken a liking on showering her with affection. Sure. She enjoyed it to some instant. Truly. But she was in her twenties. She was no child. Yet everyone made sure she was feeling like a five-year-old. It was getting annoying.

ANOTHER SIGH. Taking his hand from her head gently, she narrows her glance at her companion. She was usually lively and smiley. That’s how everyone would describe her to be but she’s been having a bad day and earlier, before he approached her, she was sitting on one of the guild’s branches, caressing a small brown creature in her hands and feeding it. She was clearly busy but around here, nobody really cared the slightest bit about that. And the creature from earlier was now sitting on her lap, belly out for the world to see and demanding for Lisanna’s hand to pet and play with it.
