i want to say something to that anon, but let me first say that i respect their opinion and i'm not mad at anyone here. however, i disagree. no one needs to know korean to talk about this situation. this is a situation regarding jokes made towards body types. while it's true that sometimes things become more cruel when translated, at the end of the day, it's still humor directed towards someone's body type. even if fat jokes are common for some people of certain ethnicities, fat jokes aren't necessarily a cultural thing.
i think the reason why everyone (fluent in korean or not) is talking about it is because normalizing such humor is toxic. we don't know what enha's relationships are like, but remember that they have fans of all body types who they could be offended. in my opinion, if enha likes to make those jokes and all of the members okay with it, then so be it. but people have the right to express whether or not they agree with, and express concern. as long as they're sharing their perspectives respectfully and with consideration towards others, it's fine. no one is required to agree, disagree, be neutral, or even care really. /nm
