Wipe out your tears and put on your masks You now must stop crying and align your back Be serious and respectable For you are not a child anymore
Poetry and emotion are worthless now You were made to fight and you were made to win And don’t you dare to stop and smell the flowers Or look at the clouds in the sky
The world was not made for dreamers And so you must keep your feet on the ground A straight face, looking for what may come Don’t waste your time wondering of what is not
And at night when you get home Make sure that all the curtains are closed and no light comes in Before you smoke that one cigarette Or you dive your weakened spirit in the bathtub to scream
The world is there to get you So you must prevent yourself If you don’t feel nothing You will never feel bad
