Liberation Day in Rwanda | 20 Years since the Rwandan Genocide

Rwanda is commemorating the 20th anniversary of the country’s genocide, when more than 800,000 ethnic Tutsi and moderate Hutus were slaughtered over a 100 day period. Photographer Chip Somodevilla was there in April to cover the anniversary. July 4th marks Liberation Day.
