She shifted, and took the bear, crimson droplets landing on her dress as she stood, looking up at Setsuno. She didnāt want to go back.

Oh good, that somewhat influenced her though he could see that she didnāt want to go back. Unfortunately, that was beyond his power or rights in deciding what to do with the girl. He was just following orders to a man he had pledged all of his loyalty and time to.
Ā Ā He knew heād be lying if he said she would be fine ā if anyone would be fine. He just hesitantly opened his arms so he could carry her to where he can patch her up.
Ā Ā āI know, I know. Itāll be fine.ā He told her the white lie in a sing-song tone, trying to make it not seem obvious.Ā
Flinching again, her hair obscured her face as she clutched the bear close, staining its fur with blood. He was lying. Almost all of them lied to her. But she had no choice. He could catch her. Moving forward, she put her arms around his neck so she could be lifted and carried, the bear dangling from her hand by a paw. "Pl-please don-don't lie to me..." Her voice was quiet, unsettlingly calm. "It won't b-b-be fine."

His fingers caught her shoulder, and she stumbled and fell, her chin banging against the ground and making her teeth click together sharply.
His eyes widened as she fell to the floor, he even flinched at the shriek too. He quickly ran to her side and furrowed his brows.
Ā Ā What was this? Was he feeling worried about the girl?Ā āDammit, Eri.ā He mumbled as he inspected her for any injuries.
Ā Ā āAre yaā¦ are you okay?ā

He was startled at first but grabbed the bear and abruptly stood up. That brat! Did she not know she was just going to make things worse for bothof them if she ran away?Ā āEri!ā He called out to the girl as he began to storm after her.
Ā Ā Once he was close enough, he reached for her shoulder in an attempt to stop her,Ā āStop.ā He sternly demanded.
