I don’t think you’d look bad though. I mean, you’ve got a really nice face and all..
Oh, why thank you! You have a cute face, doll.
What if….I lost all my hair?
You’d bring a bunch of good luck to people who rubbed your head!
That was a good one!

Wouldn’t be a good look on you.
Oh how I've missed you, Max.

You would have to buy a wig, or just go bald, goober.
WOULD YOU STILL LOVE ME?
Scary Movie Night - Brooke Marin
Brooke was getting irritated with the boy, she just wanted her chocolate. Normally, it would be cute and she would think he was flirting with her, but she was PMSing and after one piece she was ready to devour the whole entire box. She watched him tease her like she was a dog and he had a bag of bacon bits, but she wasn’t going to go for it. She refused to give him that satisfaction even if he was only playing around. She scoffed at his proposition “I don’t know any guy that knows what he is doing when it comes to a girl on her period,” she mused, raising an eyebrow as he hid the box behind him again. She perked up, not noticing the pain coursing through the young male across the couch, when he said he would give the chocolates back if she answered a question. She smiled brightly in return when he asked her where she liked to eat the most, and luckily she had an answer for take out. She popped up off the couch, and disappeared into the kitchen for a second to get a menu and some Ibuprofen.
Brooke returned, threw the menu to a “China Cottage” into the male’s lap, and held out the bottle of pain killers “You can be a martyr on your own time, but to make me feel better please take some.” She set a bottle of water on the coffee table, unsure of what type of soda the boy liked or if he drank it all. She settled with water, because she assumed everyone drank it at some point in their lives. The movie’s home menu came up, but she didn’t press play yet since it seemed like Eric was going to order food. She didn’t know if he even liked Chinese, but he had asked what her favorite place was “I hope you like Chinese, otherwise we just can’t be friends.” She was obviously joking, she was 80% of the time actually. It was just her personality. She decided since it was take out that she could start the movie, and so she grabbed the DVD player remote and pressed play.
The movie started and she curled up under a blanket so she didn’t accidentally stretch out into the guys lap, that would just make things more awkward than when he checked her out then drew attention to it by apologizing. She hid a smile as thought about it, because she wouldn’t have an excuse since the woman’s daughter was currently on the edge of a cliff about to fall to her death. Brooke jumped when Eric’s voice cut through the darkness and she sat up to give him her attention. She was actually surprised by his question, but liked that he even cared to ask. He was a pretty great guy, she really approved of him so far. She shrugged “What do you want to know? I’m not all that interesting, honestly.” She just didn’t know where to start, and didn’t know exactly what she should tell him. In all honestly, she really wasn’t that interesting.
Eric raised his eyebrow when she commented on the whole guys and period subject. "Some guys, sure. Not all guys, though. I, for one, know what to do. You don't tease a girl, which I'm doing now. You always make sure you rub anything that aches on them, you stock yourself with medicines, never call them fat or ugly, and always compliment them. Oh, yeah, I'm missing one: you don't have sex with them." A chuckle slide between his lips at the last statement. He wasn't kidding when it came to that, but some guys actually did things like that. "Well, the last one was just me personally." The blonde male shrugged thoughtfully as he retrieved the menu she had sat down for him. "I love Chinese, so no worries about that. What do you want?" He gave her a big smile, glad that she would actually eat in front of him. Most of the time, his girlfriends ended up never eating in front of him because they were too afraid. Not the Brooke was his girlfriend, but she was a girl, nonetheless. "I'm thinking some chow mein, lo mein, shrimp fried rice, chicken, and maybe some spring rolls? Do you want to add anything to that order?" Eric was leaving the last of the order to the female since he already rambled off a few of his favorites.
When Brooke brought the pain pills and water to him, he eyed her carefully. "You think I'm in pain?" Eric grinned widely, hoping that he could play it all off. His sickness often pained him but never to the point where he had to medicate himself. Plus, he was scheduled to start chemotherapy soon to rid himself of it. The pain wouldn't last forever, at least he hoped. "I'm not in pain, don't worry." He didn't let his shock leak out into his words. It struck him as bizarre that she had been able to read through his poker face. He let his eyes wander to the television once again, trying not to pay too much attention to Brooke. He didn't want to meet her eyes again in case the pain started back up. It was an on-and-off thing that happened daily. Not to mention the exhaustion he had been suffering from lately. He guessed it was from the lack of sleep he had been getting.
Out of the corner of Eric's ocean-colored eyes, he saw the girl curl up underneath her blanket. It took all of his might to stop himself from leaning over and holding Brooke. The petite blonde definitely attracted him, but he wasn't one for making things uncomfortable. It was never really fun for him if he did. He turned his full attention to the movie film, watching quietly as it flickered across the screen. The movie was pretty decent, but his interest in it started to blow away slowly. His attention span wasn't all that great when it came to movies. So, he asked Brooke to tell him about her. Of course, the female took the question into more consideration than he thought she would. "Anything really. How about your favorite color? Um, your birthday maybe? About your parents? I'm just spitting out suggestions here!" Eric turned his body sideways so that he could shift his attention to her instead.
What if....I lost all my hair?
Everything is pretty funny today.
Scary Movie Night - Brooke Marin
Brooke laughed out loud at how confused the poor fellow seemed to be “Eric, it’s okay. Are you usually this worrisome?” She smiled at the blonde stranger she had invited to her home “I just didn’t actually expect you to bring me chocolate, that’s all. Thank you though, I really do appreciate it.” The female’s green eyes widened as the awkward guy standing across from her blatantly checked her out and then apologized so much it was almost painful. She almost wished he had just tried to play it off like he hadn’t done anything, but she just choked out a laugh and fled to the living room before anything else strange could occur. She caught the box of chocolates clumsily, and stuck her tongue out at his back as he looked through her movies. She popped a piece of dark chocolate with raspberry filling into her mouth and let it melt on her tongue for a second “Good, more for me, snob.” Brooke nodded in agreement of his selection “Silent Hill is pretty good,” she mused and rolled her eyes at him as he feigned being frightened. She liked the sound of his laughter though, it was sweet. She didn’t remember she had really heard someone laugh, because she hadn’t actually hung out with anyone since moving to New York.
Something about his allergy excuse just wasn’t cutting it though, because he looked like he was in serious pain. The cough didn’t sound very convincing either, but she wasn’t going to be the one to push him to tell her anything when they hardly knew each other. She nodded distractedly “Yeah, let’s get it started!” She smiled at him as he sat down next to her, but she jumped across the couch when he snatched the chocolate from her “Give it backkkkk,” she whined helplessly as she reached for it. She sat up abruptly, and crossed her arms tightly over her chest “Do you have a death wish? What guy in his right mind would take chocolate from a PMSing woman?” She glared at him as the commercials started to roll, and she chewed on the inside of her lip “Yeah, uh huh, likely story,” she muttered.
Eric grinned mischievously once he started giving Brooke hell about the chocolate. "Oh? If I don't?" With that statement, he decided to be a bit ballsy and hold the chocolates above his head. He wiggled the box, hearing the chocolates rattle against the box. He gave another loud laugh when she started talking about his supposed death wish. "A guy that knows what he's doing, maybe?" Eric wriggled his eyes brows at her, placing the box behind his back again. Right as the box settled down on the couch, the pain punched him once more. He hid it carefully, his hands only slightly trembling at the terrible punch. "Alright, alright fine. If you can answer my question, I'll give you the chocolate back." Despite the pain eating at him once more, he managed a big smile at the lovely female. "What's your favorite place to eat at so far?" He wasn't sure where he was going with this, but he was pretty hungry. Eric was thinking about taking her out for dinner, but he was pretty sure she wouldn't want to. "I'm thinking about carry out? My treat?"
Eric hoped that Brooke was up to eating. He had skipped out on dinner to study up for a business test that happened to be the next day. He ran his fingers through his pale, blonde hair while his blue eyes flickered over towards the television set. His fingers loosely gripped the box of chocolates since he was expecting an answer from the girl. He thought quietly about the pain that was echoing throughout his bones. He wasn't quite sure what he did to deserve it, but the sickness was slowly taking its toll on him. The less he thought about the pain and the more he listened to the movie, the pain began to ease down. Soon, it dimmed down to just a small blip of pain and his energy began to come bak. He turned towards the female, glancing at her for a split second before casting his eyes down. "Tell me something about yourself, Brooke. I'm curious about you."
