It’s like we’re driving blind

On opposite sides of the road

Playing chicken

To see just how far we can go

But we underestimated

The distance closing too fast

The collision one we’ll remember

Cause it could be our last

You don’t think I write about you

But you’re all I think about

Midnight hours alone

Trying to sort it all out

Like what the fuck we’re doing

Why it’s so hard to leave

Everything that’s wrong for you

And everything that’s right for me

No, I don’t just write about you

Because of you I believed

In sunshine and love

But its never enough

And I’m dying in the heat

“Become the ghost before you’re haunted,”

I said with a wink

You laughed and shook your head

Said, “that’s no way to think.”

But all I do is think about you

Immortalize you in ink

While you curse my name

Miles away

Drowning in a drink

Seconds turn to hours

Fucking months in between

You won’t ever say you miss me

Because I haunt you in dreams
