Hey have you seen my daugh—
Crowley.
Crowley.
Crowley.
How’s my mascara?
it starts, as it will end, with a garden🌳
Who do you think the best angel was? This one.
Hear me out:
It’s a bittersweet thought, but you truly understand Good Omens once you realize the story was never meant to be simple. Aziraphale and Crowley are beings who spent thousands of years learning about the human world while living alongside them, and that's their ultimate tragedy. They are willing to sacrifice everything for the greater good, even if it means choosing death (something the coffee cup theory from the previous season already suggested).
By giving up immortality they are finally choosing to side with humanity. For the first time, they truly gain free will and the ability to rewrite the story, whether to set things right for humans or to give each other a chance at something better in another lifetime together. Because, ultimately, that’s all they ever really wanted; to live peacefully, liberated from the chaotic, rigged games of God.
Every choice they make is, in its own way, an act of love. And love is complicated. It's devastatingly painful at times. And it’s also the kind of love that is willing to let go of 6000 years of history to finally make things right.
Nevertheless, that doesn't mean Aziracrow is gone. I honestly don’t believe their story ends there. AT ALL. I think it becomes something way bigger than that. No matter the universe they will always find each other over and over again because their connection transcends the rules imposed on them. Their love is ineffable precisely because it cannot be contained by Heaven, Hell, or even destiny itself. They don’t need memories to be drawn to one another bc they simply belong together as a whole. It’s the epitome of Love.
That’s exactly the reason why they weren’t in the Book of Life nor could they ever really be erased from it, because Aziracrow is the fundamental force of all of God’s creation
Also, If you caught the end credits, it subtly hints at the multiverse theory, solidifying the idea that their connection is eternal and goes beyond time and space. It’s sad tho, because a 90-minute episode is never enough time to fully explore everything around it. Still, I wholeheartedly believe that somewhere out there, across different realities, Aziraphale and Crowley are happily dining together at the Ritz.
I think that’s beautiful because it gives endless possibilities for them to have the happy ending they deserve, canonically! So, a little message to the fandom, to all the creatives out there: keep sharing your creations and ideas. Keep them alive in your hearts so the story never truly ends.
The painting of Terry Pratchett near the end actually made me cry and I don’t see anyone else talking about it
