🚨GOOD OMENS 3 SPOILERS🚨
I think this is their favorite universe 🌎
Husband and I visited London for the first time a few weeks ago. Two weeks after the finale, to be exact. One of my must-see sites was Aziraphale & Crowley’s bench in St. James Park. Happily, we found it and I sprawled Crowley-like for a few moments looking out over the lake.
This is your reminder to reread Good Omens before the Finale
In the jeep, Crowley was cursing. Aziraphale laid a hand on his shoulder.
“There are humans here,” he said.
“Yes,” said Crowley. “And me.”
“I mean we shouldn’t let this happen to them.”
“Well, what—” Crowley began, and stopped.
“I mean, when you think about it, we’ve got them into enough trouble as it is. You and me. Over the years. What with one thing and another.”
“We were only doing our jobs,” muttered Crowley.
“Yes. So what? Lots of people in history have only done their jobs and look at the trouble they caused.”
“You don’t mean we should actually try to stop Him?”
“What have you got to lose?”
Crowley started to argue, and realized that he hadn’t anything. There was nothing he could lose that he hadn’t lost already. They couldn’t do anything worse to him than he had coming to him already. He felt free at last.
It’s been…a year, hasn’t it??

🪽I love this story so much, and it’s been an unexpected and essential source of joy, comfort and creativity over a really, really challenging five years. Sometimes it’s the small things that really gets you through the crazy times, and Good Omens has absolutely been a loadbearing pillar. Nothing can take that away 💜
I’m naming this piece “Oodles of Nightingales” because I’m pretty sure I still have psychic damage from that Season 2 finale.

If you don't know why it's crucial to do this right now: The lead graphic designer for S2, Mickey Ralph, posted on Twitter about heading back to Scotland (where GO is filmed), and encouraged the fandom to start showing the love. We can't know for sure where the Amazon decision-makers are looking, but the # of watchlists the show is on on a website they own is a good bet.
Please re-blog, we need to get this message out!
For them and For Terry 🍾🥂
Hear me out:
It’s a bittersweet thought, but you truly understand Good Omens once you realize the story was never meant to be simple. Aziraphale and Crowley are beings who spent thousands of years learning about the human world while living alongside them, and that's their ultimate tragedy. They are willing to sacrifice everything for the greater good, even if it means choosing death (something the coffee cup theory from the previous season already suggested).
By giving up immortality they are finally choosing to side with humanity. For the first time, they truly gain free will and the ability to rewrite the story, whether to set things right for humans or to give each other a chance at something better in another lifetime together. Because, ultimately, that’s all they ever really wanted; to live peacefully, liberated from the chaotic, rigged games of God.
Every choice they make is, in its own way, an act of love. And love is complicated. It's devastatingly painful at times. And it’s also the kind of love that is willing to let go of 6000 years of history to finally make things right.
Nevertheless, that doesn't mean Aziracrow is gone. I honestly don’t believe their story ends there. AT ALL. I think it becomes something way bigger than that. No matter the universe they will always find each other over and over again because their connection transcends the rules imposed on them. Their love is ineffable precisely because it cannot be contained by Heaven, Hell, or even destiny itself. They don’t need memories to be drawn to one another bc they simply belong together as a whole. It’s the epitome of Love.
That’s exactly the reason why they weren’t in the Book of Life nor could they ever really be erased from it, because Aziracrow is the fundamental force of all of God’s creation
Also, If you caught the end credits, it subtly hints at the multiverse theory, solidifying the idea that their connection is eternal and goes beyond time and space. It’s sad tho, because a 90-minute episode is never enough time to fully explore everything around it. Still, I wholeheartedly believe that somewhere out there, across different realities, Aziraphale and Crowley are happily dining together at the Ritz.
I think that’s beautiful because it gives endless possibilities for them to have the happy ending they deserve, canonically! So, a little message to the fandom, to all the creatives out there: keep sharing your creations and ideas. Keep them alive in your hearts so the story never truly ends.
