Esme let out a huff as she flipped the page of her book, barely taking in any of the words that the book was speaking, her mind still wandering to what happened with Campbell and everything else. Sheād felt on edge ever since she got back to Princeton, even though she had done her best to avoid any and all drama and she planned to keep it that way. She frowned when she heard her phone ringing, she glanced down staring at the New York based number, picking it up and muttering a hello. The next few sentences spoken to her barely registering. Head on, died instantly, funeral arrangements; it all blurred into one. She nodded her head blankly. āOkay, thank you very much.ā She said softly, noticing someone walking towards her. āIāll call you back.ā She muttered, hanging up the phone and staring blankly ahead.
