Christmas Eve sunrise made me think about the Christmases I had as a kid. Waking up at my grandparents house at dawn, usually from barely sleeping on the couch in the living room cause I was sure I was going to see Santa come in.
With everything that has changed in the last few months I’ve been thinking about those times more and more. Losing my grandfather earlier this month and realizing that no matter how much time had passed since I last spent time with him that this is going to be raw for a long time.
I have a piece of memorial jewelry picked out for when I get some of his ashes. It’s a beautiful eternity band with his birth stone in alternating sequence.
Make sure to take the time to spend as much of it as you can with the Pilar’s of your family. There are things I wish I knew. But still glad for the time I had. And the sunrises I got to see with him as we went to the local gas station for morning coffee where he would get me a donut and a hot chocolate while I sat either him and his friends and siblings.

I'm convinced Mythbusters needs a reboot. Misinformation or mythinformation if you will, is at an all time high. We NEED the show that promotes critical thinking to come back. It doesn't need the same cast, in fact I think it would be better with some fresh faces. Imagine all the good it would do if you could just show your crazy uncle the Mythbusters reboot episode that debunks his anti-vaxx conspiracy in an easily digestible and entertaining format.
When Spielberg and Tippett saw an animatic of the T. rex chasing a herd of Gallimimus, Spielberg said, “You’re out of a job,” to which Tippett replied, “Don’t you mean extinct?“ Spielberg later wrote both the animatic and his dialogue between him and Tippett into the script, as a conversation between Malcolm and Grant.
Dr. Ellie Sattler: So, what are you thinking?
Dr. Alan Grant: We’re out of a job.
Dr. Ian Malcolm:

If that doesn't have potential for some fairytale nonsense, I don't know what does.
