((I'm going on a vacation. I don't know if I get to write anything there so you better don't expect anything from me for about a week.))
Cafe Angelica was enjoying a lazy afternoon when three men entered. It was the chancellor of Avalor followed by two soldiers, all wearing stern expressions. The guests raised their heads to see the cousin of their beloved princess point at Rita the new helping hand of Carmen and Julio: âGuards, seize this woman.â
Julio was perplexed, he walked up to the duke to get some explanation. He trusted princess Elena and her family but Rita was a good girl. âWhy are you arresting our employee?â He asked timidly.
The chancellor crossed his arms in front of his chest and said coldly like only a representative of the state performing his duty can: âThis woman is a suspected criminal. For the safety of the whole Avalor she will be taken into custody where she is to be interrogated.â âButâŠâ âShe can return to work as soon as sheâs found innocent of her crimes. If she is innocent,â said Esteban frowning.

bcundaries:
Please reblog if you donât mind role playing with POC muses
ex: Hispanic, African American, muslims
I know many people who are simply afraid to create a muse a race different from what they see all over Tumblr simply because theyâre afraid of being shut down immediately
((This blog has not been forgotten. The lenght of the hiatus was not planned. I want to rp again but this mun is busy so it will run on casual mode.))
RPers, please reblog this if youâre ok with para responses that donât include dialogue.
Often it seems like an expectation that dialogue will be exchanged in every para response, but sometimes characters are nonverbal, or donât have anything to say, or are in a situation that would make talking impractical. If the writer puts enough attention into describing their actions, though, thereâs still plenty to respond to even without dialogue.        Non-dialogue responses are not âgoing nowhere.â Non-dialogue responses are not âfiller.â Non-dialogue responses are not non-responses.
The Flores gentlemen being goof balls.
[Iâm sorry for my inactivity but I have a good reason: Iâm ill. Itâs not the worst illness Iâve been through but itâs annoying as my ear hurts, it made me miss a zumba class and I have to take naps during the day because I get tired and when Iâm ill I tend to sleep worse during the night. When Iâm awake I study for college finals. So Iâm sorry for not replying to your rp reblogs, starters and asks but my mind was somewhere else. I will come back I just donât know when.]
[Itâs St. Stephenâs Day and that means itâs Estebanâs name day! Happy holidays, everyone, I hope you had a good time so far.]
Mardoña enters the room, strumming her guitar and smiling brightly at him, "My Bonnie lies over the ocean..." She sings nicely, trying not to laugh, "My Bonnie lies over the sea...My Bonnie lies over the ocean....Oh, bring back my Bonnie to me..." (familiar-but-not)
With Francisco, Elena and the rest of his familysinging their heart out often and loudly (sometimes with the chirpy assisstencefrom the servants) he usually didnât feel like adding to all the noise.Nonetheless he would bet he first to acknowledge that silence, one enforced andseemingly endless, can be suffocating. Such as the silence that strangled thefree speech and music in Avalor in the not-so-distant past.
Today he woke up with a melody in his ear. One hecouldnât rid off, no matter how hard he tried to concentrate on the matters ofstate. After a few hours of fruitless resistence, he decided to yield. Thistune was similar to Elena in that it didnât give up until it led him to a placehe didnât want to be and roped him into something he didnât plan. Â
The place was called Music room because it was theroom for storing sheet music and instruments. It has suffered, like anythingrelated to music, but the renovations were going alright. Esteban picked up hiscitar and played a few tones.
Then he recalled the pesky melody and startedplaying. It was an old ballad. The lyrics were trite, with phrases that werethought clichĂ© hundred years ago already but the melody itself was captivating, yet sad. âNo,â Esteban correctedhimself in his mind,âthatâs not it.Nostalgic, thatâs the word Iâm looking for.â
As he finished a self-confident, satisfied smile hascrept on his lips. No matter how old he will get, he will never forget how tostrum a guitar. In this moment Mara walked in singing a folk song and caughthim gazing almost dreamily on his instrument. âMy Bonnie is over the ocean, myBonnie is over the sea. My Bonnie is over the ocean, oh bring back my Bonnie tome.â A song once very popular among the sailorâs and their families as it isabout a sailorâs wife missing her husband who has left on a ship. Â
He turned to his friend who liked to sing this song, too, despite not being a sailor nor oneâs wife. Mara would use this song andespecially the word bonnie to tease him. Thanks to her, Bonnie has become hisnickname. She has never played it to him on a guitar until today though. Â
âI see you have finally learned how to play thatsilly old song.â
âI know just what to do!â
âOh and what is it, if I may ask?â He asked withsarcasm he didnât try to hide.
He sat in his favorite chair in the library where hewas studying the map of the country thinking about roads that need to berepaired and/or built and whether there is enough money in the treasury. When thissmall (meaning size not age) girl looked over his shoulder and startled himwith her rather loud and enthusiastic yelling.
Charoca being nice and patient with this twit? Unbelievable. But then again nobody reported any recent Mount Fuego explosion.
âVale,â Esteban shrugs and continues in the conversation, âhow do you like the country so far?â
A servant walked in with a tray. There was a plate of tacos al pastor and a pitcher full of red wine.
Esteban smiled. It was more a sign of politeness than actual good mood. Thereâs an actor in every professional politician.
âThis is for you, miss Kaylee, I donât know when you had your last meal and the magical examination may take some time.â
estebanofavalor:
An amused smile curled on one corner of Estebanâs mouth. He had a weakness for people interested in Avalor.
âIâve come a long way to see this beautiful kingdom. My home is across the wide ocean. Itâs the country of music â Avalor.â
âWow! Avalor? Iâve never heard of that kingdom before.â
Jade loved to sing. She had even been invited by Sofia to sing the Enchancian Anthem at the annual harvest festival!
âAvalor seems so much different than Enchancia! Â Enchancia is definitely beautiful! Who is your king? We have a really good king, King Roland the Second!â
Sheâs never heard of Avalor! Those words hit Esteban hard but he hid it. Truth to be told Avalor still wasnât as famous as the duke wished it would be. But that will change, with the large and powerful Enchancia as their ally and partner in trade and pretty much everything soon, more and more rulers (and their subordinates) will get to know Avalor.
âKing Roland is indeed very noble. I had the pleasure to meet him.â He stopped, straightened his back and closed his eyes. He looks very serious out of sudden: âIâm chancellor Esteban, cousin of princess Elena whoâs the current Avaloran ruler.â
âWow! Your royalty?â Jade said with a large grin plastered to her face, before she dropped her towel, and did a slight curtsy. âI should have introduced myself before, sorry! Iâm Jade, I live in Dunwiddie here in Enchancia.â She said with a giggle. âMy best friend is a princess you know! When her mom married KIng Roland, she became royalty pretty much overnight!â
It was true, Jade liked to sometimes brag about being best friends with a princess, but she knew when it was time to stop.Â
Esteban smirked on the outside and chuckled a little inwardly. The king and queen couldnât help themselves and like any proud parents have told him and Elena about how great their children were. From their words one would get the impression that every second person in Enchancia knows and adores princess Sofia. He couldnât blame them though, the small princess was practically Avalorian national hero, second only to his cousin.
âThen I shall consider myself lucky to be able to converse with princess Sofiaâs best friend,â he leaned forvard slightly and and rotated his wrist in a fancy gesture. âMiss Jade, tell me, how is life in the village under king Rolandâs reign?â Not that he expected profound analysis of an Enchancian commonerâs life from a little girl but better than to walk in silence.
As the two walked down the path, she giggled and her towel in her arms. âWell, my dad owns the village bakery, and the King really likes our cupcakes. Their the best in the whole kingdom! Well, in my opinion that is. She licked her lips just at the thought of eating one. âKing Roland is an amazing king! He is so opening and welcome! If anybody in the village has a problem, they can go to the castle, and he will try to help!â
Jade didnât get to talk to the king that much, more Sofia. But from what she knew, he was a really nice guy.Â
Esteban listened to Jadeâs happy chitchat. When she mentions the cupcakes he smiles, they were really delicious. Almost as well as Louisaâs baking. Elena and Isabel loved them, too.
âYour father bakes for the king? Well then, tell him that his skill has impressed the Royal family from Avalor and that the gates of the city are always open for his apprentices if they are as good as their master or manage to surpass him.â
âApropos apprentices, perhaps youâd like to follow in your fatherâs footsteps and work in the bakery one day, miss Jade?â
Please reblog this is if you would rp with trans muses.
lost-prince-of-corona:
I see a lot of people unwilling to rp with me because my muse is trans, and because of that I feel nobody in the rp community ever will. So, yeah, reblog if you would rp with trans muses (nonbinary muses included).
[The mun doesnât mind in the slightest, the muse however may be less tolerant. Given his personality and the world he lives in, he would think your muse is cursed.]
âI know just what to do!â
âOh and what is it, if I may ask?â He asked withsarcasm he didnât try to hide.
He sighed and swept back the hair on his left side as he contemplated what to do with her. Magical powers that canât be controled are bothersome for everyone involved. Esteban wondered how much troublesome might those of Kaylee get. He will have to call Mateo to examine her and see if there is a way to tame them or else she will keep poping randomly across the world.
Particularly should this girl decide to stay in Avalor and the way she spoke about the island she comes from made it sound as if she wasnât keen on returning there any time soon.
Finally Esteban spoke up: âSo Kaylee, I will tell you what to do now. You can stay in Avalor but you have to let the Royal wizard take a look at you. You may not want to harm anyone but as you said you canât control your powers. The Royal wizard may be able to find a way to keep your magic from acting out,â the chancellor spoke firmly but not without certain concern for he really didnât want to endanger those who are innocent.
Wait, waitâŠhe was really going to let her stay? Just like that? Wiggling in her seat, she suppressed an excited squeak; finally, a kingdom that wasnât going to run her out of it for being a public nuisance! As much as she wanted to remain wary-after all, it could very well be a trick-she was too enthusiastic to care.
âI can do that! Whatever you need me to do, sure!â Kay fidgeted slightly with her hair once again. âIâm not sure Iâd be able to really hurt anybody. At least, I hope not! Itâs kind of like a defense mechanism. I get scared, or something upsets me, and poof! Iâm ten miles away in someoneâs kitchen. Believe me, I hate bothering people with it all the time. If there is a fix, I really hope your wizard can find it.â
The chancellor stood up and walked to the door again. âHiggins, find the Royal wizard and tell someone to bring some food here. Yes, we have an uninvited guest, no need to bother the Crown princess yet. Please go and do as I told you,â he ordered to a small red haired man who stared at Kaylee, puzzled how she got there. Higgins has been standing in front of library for quite a while and hasnât seen anyone walk in nor out.
âYes, sir,â saluted the little man when he snapped out of his bewilderment and left the chancellor and his company alone.
âYou mentioned Charoca earlier, did he scare you before you ended up in the library? I wouldnât be surprised. That talking boulder has the patience of a âŠ, well, a stone,â Esteban rolled his eyes.
âHe claims to be trying to learn how to manage his anger but his bond with the volcano is still making me worried. He DID almost burn a village once. Fortunately he helped to save it, too.â Esteban was trying to hold a conversation to avoid embarrassing silence but it devolved into a rant.
âI know just what to do!â
