Project Methodology
1. What stages are needed in order to complete a web project? What are they? Present some detail on what each stage would entail. a) Requirements gathering: create timeline, generate expectations, assess client’s requirements/expectations, discuss functionality b) Proposal: detailing timeline and budget, getting approval for it c) Initial concept: create some sort of sketch/wireframe/ proof of concept to show the client d) Feedback gathering: Gather feedback, revise template to client needs e) Final draft: Incorporate client’s needs into newest prototype f) Development: Begin development (coding!) g) Iterate: Iterate, iterate, iterate (agile!) h) Project Complete
2. What information will be needed from the client, and when? WHAT: What are they trying to accomplish with this project? WHO: What’s their target audience, what their company/organization is about HOW: What kind of functionalities are you envisioning? WHEN: Timeline? Budget?
3. What decisions will have to be made, and how will they be done? a) Who are the stakeholders? What is the contact info? Designate a single person for point of contact. b) Proposal will require approval from that designated stakeholder. c) That stakeholder will be the person to approve each milestone.
4. What other information might you need? a) Legal information, who owns what, NDA b) Payment schedule c) Workload distribution among team members (if applicable)
We had a photographer come in last week and help us take some snapshots of what goes on around here on weeknights.... good times and lots of beer drinking of course!
