So... esc season is over again. As happy as I am for Bulgaria, the feel of the contest has been 'off' for several years now. The voting used to be exciting, now it's just stressful... It's difficult to focus on who we want to win when we're all focused on who shouldn't win. We were 'saved' once again, but how long will the EBU allow this to happen? They just keep disappointing everyone again and again. Like I saw someone else write, post-esc depression is becoming more like post-esc relief.
Anyway, I want to keep focusing on what got me into esc in the first place: the diversity of music genres, languages, cultures coming together. Even if it's becoming harder to focus on that...
So yeah, trying to be positive - congrats to Dara! Finally a win for Bulgaria, can't wait how/where they will host (hopefully Poli Genova will make an appearance?)! And now, it's time to go back in time to 1994 again - such a diverse and lovely year, I already got a few more entries almost ready to post.

Hi everyone,
It's been a while since my last post, huh? I never intended for a hiatus this long, it happened mostly due to a combo of work life and a loss of passion… Over the last year I haven't been able to feel the same excitement about Eurovision as I once did, and I think many feel the same. This year's show only left me feeling marginally better than last year's, in some ways worse actually (though Switzerland did a terrific job as a host I think).
I am going to continue this project soon however, trying to focus on what made me love Eurovision in the first place. Idk what my schedule will be, but expect a continuation of 1994 shortly!
Also, I think I will no longer be displaying the country flag icon with every post, instead sticking to just song title and artist. I will still be tagging the relevant country ofc, I just feel like it distracts from the main focus, which is the artists/music regardless of what country they represented.
I hope you guys are well and that some of you can still find some love for Eurovision despite all that happened the past couple years… See you soon! :)

Yes, an extra post this week. There were many incredible performances this year, but this one moved me the most...
