"Why is everybody suddenly so into Greek mythology?"
"Is it some sort of weird fad that I don't know about? It honestly makes me feel so stupid not knowing what's going on."
"It's the least I could do. You look like death."
"Can someone explain to me why some of us remember and some of us don't?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Now that the holidays are over...
..I think it’s time for some fun.”
"Good. I couldn't wait for all those annoying festivities to be over. What ever do you have in mind?"
"You can't hide from me!"
Noticing Evan Clary watched for a moment, before deciding to approach. She paid no mind to the guy standing next to Evan, looking vaguely ill, as she did so. Instead she bounded up to Evan excitedly, happy to see the girl. “Evan!”
At the sound of the familiar happy voice, Evan turned and a smile spread on her lips as she opened her arms to embrace the girl. She didn't even care if the man she was hunting slipped away. He couldn't hide from her. No one can, once she set her mind to it. "Clary, darling! Come here and give me some sugar."
"Oh just the usual things: world domination, an unlimited supply of alcohol."
"The alcohol is easy but world domination takes a bit of work. What do I get in return?"
"You can't hide from me!"
A familiar sounding voice brought her from her thoughts. She turned to look, and couldn’t help the smile that spread across her face when she caught sight of the petite blonde, who appeared to be after someone. Hurrying to catch up, she followed behind the woman in silence for a moment before clearing her throat loudly. “Ma’am, what seems to be the problem?”
Evan could feel someone following her but she didn't detect that it was a threat. So, momentarily, she ignored it. However, just as she was about to lay a finger on the man who owed her far too much money for her services, a familiar voice stopped her in her tracks. And Evan couldn't ignore it but ah, he can't run far. Without turning around, she said, "That man owes me far too much money, doll. And right now, he's running away."
Cayley blinked at her, “It’s the middle of winter, of course it’s dead.”
"I didn't say they were dead." Evan scowled momentarily at Cayley before smiling, turning the same smile onto the grass. "There, there, grass. She didn't mean it."
"You can't hide from me!"
"I think you’re forgetting who collects things around here, kitten."
"I think you're forgetting who collects things for you." Evan's face lighted up at the other woman but then scowled as her mark ran away from her. "You just made me lose him! I've been tailing him for weeks!"
"This was supposed to be the time of content and joy, then why do I keep feeling like something is missing?"
"Is there something you wish to locate?"
"Omigods, it’s cold. What are you doing out here?"
"I thought your grass looked a little sad so I came out here to cheer them up." Evan's answer made absolutely no sense.
"So. What’d you get me for Christmas?"
"Name it and it's yours."
"You can't hide from me!"
"You still owe me something and I am here to collect my payment." Evan delivered all this with the sweetest and most cajoling smile ever.
Headcanon: Happiest Memory (in this life)
Any memory with her mother is a happy one for Evan. However, her favourite is the time she celebrated her sixth birthday, back when her mother was still somewhat sane. Although she was already descending into the depths of insanity, she still had flashes of lucidity and her sixth birthday was one of those times.
Her mother had baked her a wonderful three layered cake with pink frosting and strawberries. Although Evan neither liked pink nor strawberries, she loved the cake and she loved her mother. It was a simple family affair. Just the two of them.
She had spent the night cuddled up to her mother while she braided her hair, braiding pink ribbons into the blonde strands.
HC about love
Evan likes to think that she doesn’t feel love and she cannot feel love. Most of the time, she is unable to. She is more prone to plotting evil schemes to ruin some unlucky lady’s day and then planning what she was going to wear to seduce married men at the speakeasy later that night. However, she is only human and more than once, she has succumbed to the evils of romance and emotion. Actually, it was only twice.
Once was when she lost her virginity and broke her heart in the same week. She vowed to never let a man make her feel vulnerable again. She vowed that she would never love anyone for to love would be making herself vulnerable.
The second time was Demetri Avery. She would never admit it but she wanted him. She wanted Demetri desperately so much so that she was tempted to tell him yes. But then, he hurt her. He could not understand her nature.
Evan once again made the vow she knew she could not keep.
Has Evan or Eris ever questioned the chaos she caused?
Evan: Yes. Of course, this only occurs during Evan’s darker moments when she falls into a sort of depression due to her inability to cause chaos. Her moral compass often sets itself to the societal norm and she wonders if everything she does is worth it. She wonders if all the killing and ruining lives has any meaning to it or is it all just to satisfy a whim she cannot control. It is a very dark place that consists of alcohol and tons of hiding in her bedroom. This then leads to Evan lashing out and causing more chaos.
Eris: No. Never.
Who/what would you say is your character's spirit animal?
Evan’s spirit animal is definitely the fox. They are sly, they are cunning and they are independent. Although, unlike Evan, foxes don’t seek to tear the world to pieces and then laugh at the mayhem. Foxes like to be alone but they also like being around other foxes. Also, foxes are rather affectionate and fiercely protective.
